Wish I could join the scrap and chat, but feeling sickish. Took meds but still want to throw up.(tmi) we just got home today and I can say my girls were a hit at the wedding. My little one shocked me and walked down the aisle and threw flowers. She ran out half way through and her and my oldest go " uh oh we'll all out of flowers". Lol they were surprisingly good and even at the reception were good. They dance the night away and of course my oldest stole the show by having the first dance with her God-daddy (groom). So cute my shy youngest even got a dance with him later so it was a perfect day I would say.

I hope to be feeling much better tomorrow and after cleaning hopefully I can work on my mini album. Have a good night scrapping and chatting.

Morning girls!
It is stormy here, and I think it will be all day. I'm all set to stay in and have a scrappy day! No plans for the weekend, which is nice for a change.

Lizzie- aww, bummer you didn't get to chat last night. We need to set up a scrap party ahead of time!

Elizabeth- Sorry you were feeling icky yesterday. Any better today? That's awesome about the wedding, though!

What's everyone up to today?

Monica: I feel much better. Just been suffering from from a killer headache and It was making me feel puckish. Lots better today and I was able to finish my moms album. Going to box everything up and ship out Monday for an early Christmas gift.

I'm going to work on my mini album if I can get the girls to play nice in the back room.

Hey girlies! I'm sad I missed your scrap party!
I scrapped with my mom for the last 5 hours. YAY! and I got 2 pages done today - that's 7 this week. (Patting self on the back)
I said let's do it again next week and she said, how about sooner. LOL. Also, my SIL are going to take the SC cut it out class together. I'm so glad to finally have some scrappy company - besides you guys of course. You guys are the best!

oh man, I made a yummy new recipe tonight! Creamy chicken enchiladas. They were so good!

I'm getting all settled in for a night of scrapping! Who's with us?!

Elizabeth- Do you get migraines? That stinks! That's sweet of you to send your mom an early Christmas gift!

Loni- How fun that your mom scraps! I could NEVER get my mom to. LOL. I'm really considering caving & taking the SC Cut It Out class... might have to join you!

Calendar Girls: Basically, we started talking about making changes for next year, and one of the current thread hostesses kinda flipped about it and is wanting to be in control of it. Nobody was saying anything for the longest time, and then one person finally spoke her mind and other people followed! So all sorts of arguments ensued... but I think it's starting to simmer down now.

Loni: so jealous. Lol. Wish my mom lived close by so I could do all sorts of things together. My mom loves my scrapbooking, but has a hard time getting started herself. She loves to sew and make quilts. When she was here we sewed a quilt and I cherish it. Continue to have fun and glad you are getting some pages done.

Monica: that stinks about all the drama on the other thread. Yeah migraines are the worst and since having kids they have gotten worse. I use to think it was my IUD so I had it taken out, but still nothing. They just continued to get worse. When we get insurance I am hoping to get all test done to check it out.

Wish I could join the scrapping tonight, but I am in bed watching show on Netflix with hubby. Tomorrow I plan on working on a few layouts and hopefully cleaning up my mess in the living room. Was talking to hubby tonight about a me vacation and he threw out the idea 'why don't I just send you to a scrapbooking convention?' Um yeah that would work too. Hopefully when he accepts an offer he'll remember he said that. Lol.

Elizabeth, my mom is a quilter too! She dabbles in lots of hobbies, and I've got her scrapping now - we'll see how long I can keep her at it! haha
For the last 2 years she's gone to the Expo with me, now she's finally making stuff. She goes for digi classes. but anyway it's awesome -be jealous until you can move your mom next door!

Monica, YAY! Early Christmas present. I want you to do the class - but I won't be an enabler - I'll let you know what happens if you can't take it. Sorry about the C-girls. I hope there aren't any permanent hurt feelings.

I just uploaded 4 layouts, so check out my gallery! (I'm too lazy to link them individualy)

Went to the calendar thread to see what all the drama was all about...think I got the general idea of what the group started as and where it is now. What I don't get is the references to the thread not continuing to be on page 1 at all times and people being called out for not posting enough. What's with that? I've never seen/read a thread that had "rules"...

I didn't get any of my chores done today. So tomorrow will be long! I did go to a big (okay advertised as big) baby/kid consignment sale that a group puts on 2-3 times a year and didn't buy a thing. I was really disappointed. The pictures from past sales showed much nicer stuff and more inventory. I was shocked at the condition of some of the items as I'd read their selling guidelines before I went. Oh well I guess.

Really been wanting to scrap lately but hubby hasn't let me have my new printer yet that he got for my b-day. Didn't think it was worth it to try and scrap w/o the photos I had in mind.

I'm here tonight gals. I want to scrap so BAD, but I have an exam that I have to take next week, and I'll be gearing up for a job interview on Wednesday, wish me luck, argh!

I NEED this better paying job; I mean it's a substantial pay raise, and LORD knows I need to start paying off my student loans.

Right now I'm studying, been studying off and on all day. Listening to all of our power points online, which is tedious. I've finished 3, and I have 11 more to go, then I need to read 4 chapters. Cramming at the last minute is NOT my idea of fun, but I am finding my footing. I actually blogged out it the other day. I figure I'll give up around 12 or 1, and I'll get to scrapping since it's going to storm tonight. I woke up at 3 this morning and almost decided to get out of bed so I could scrapbook, lol. I have a terribly wonderful scrapbook addiction...

Is it sad that before I got to bed at night I dream about what I'm going to scrap next or research new tools/lines, etc to buy or I'm reading scrappy blogs or the 2 Peas app. I'm nuts; I should consider making scrapbooking my full time gig ---> Maybe instead of grad school I'll try to open a scrap shop, lol too bad it would be MEGA expensive.

Good Morning! Guess it's going to be one of those weeks. got my "friend" so not really in the best of moods and I woke up with a headache. Hubby bought some vanilla scented strips to go on the air vents and they are lightly scented, but after hours of the very faint smell I got this pounding headache.

After school today I am wanting to do a little scrapping. I also need to put out my fall decorations before my oldest kills me. She has been asking for weeks, but it's all in the attic and we were waiting for DH to have time.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Morning girls!
I'm determined to have a productive (yet fun) day today. I'm going to hit the job searching big time today... keep your fingers crossed for me! I'm hoping to find something soon.

Elizabeth- ugh, hate that! Hope you are feeling better.

Gabrielle- good for you for taking the day off! But still sucks that you have to study... I don't miss those days!

Lol okay hands down apple pie (but. Why not take it up a notch and do a cinnaroll crust or a new one I saw apple cheese cake.)

Roll in the leaves or bag them up?

Monica: didn't know you were looking for a job. Did I miss something? Sry if I did. Thought you were teaching and it seemed you enjoyed it a lot. What type of job are you searching for? I will keep you in my thoughts along with hubby to find a job. Lol. My teeth need serious care and without a job they are suffering. Were you able to get your teeth worked on? Have you heard of care credit? Should look into it if it's a cost issue.

Gabrielle: that's good you got to complete a layout. Did you get a chance to post it? I'll have to check your gallery. I just realized you are in Denton. We were there last Wed-Friday. Went to the Joann's in Lewisville and found my basic Grey papers I wanted.

I actually got both the girls to clean their room and now I just need to clean off my pop up table (scrapbooking supplies). If I can get that done then maybe around nap time I can work on a layout. Here is to hoping.

Thanks Elizabeth! I'll be posting pictures hopefully tonight when I get home. I had to leave my house to focus on my studies, eek. I get too distracted with the scrapbook room begging me to come and play

What BG did you get at J's? I rarely go there nowadays. I used to live near the Frisco one so I went there often. Norman isn't too far from North Texas is it? You should come and crop with me/us (Stephanie) sometime... I host a monthly crop on the 3rd Saturday of the month if you ever want to crop with other peas. I know there are a few peas signed up for the group, but we've only had 1 other crop thus far. It turned out great (or at least I thought so)... this month it seems like everyone is busy, but next month should pick up a bit I believe.

Our next crop is this upcoming Saturday. I'm so looking forward to it, even though right now it's only my mom and me attending, lol. It will still be fun to get scrappy I want to use my new to me (used) Carl Rotary Trimmer. My mom gave it to me from her stash, yay!

Done with this break, back to studying...

Good luck with the job hunt today Monica!!

Bagging up the leaves because the snakes live in the piles!

Gabrielle: the BG Serendipty and Shine On Joann exclusive was at lewisville store on the end cap. So worth it. I wish I had money for gas to drive 3 hours to scrap. Lol. Hubby would not like that idea much even if we had the money. I guess I will continue being a lonely scrapper and doing virtual scrap parties with you ladies. I thought of hosting a scrap night this month, but I doubt I will. Have fun though at your crops even if only some times it's just you and your mom. Great memories are probably made that way. Get back to studying.

Has this already been discussed, what is everyone doing for Christmas gifts? I would love to hear about your Christmas giving ideas.

Here is mine:
Hubby: OU fleece pj pants and if I have time a date night idea book
Glori and Lilo: ceramic piggy bank with $20 and Lalaloopsy carrying case ( I am going to sew one-still looking for ideas)
Grandmother: already done- knitted shoulder cowl with pin
Mom: already done- knitted shoulder cowl, 12x12 scrapbook album, chocolates with scrapbook decorated holder, and nook tablet
Brother: mini album using Simple Stories Awesome collection and if I have time a knitted hat
Friend: knitted shoulder cowl and her son I am making a mini 1st year album
Friend: knitted fingerless gloves
This list is super long I know, but I am hoping to get a lot of it done by Mid November. I guess I should probably start working on it tonight. Lol.

Hello ladies!! It has been busy around here. Feeding Millie takes up most of my day. Then chores and rest.

My BFF came to visit and it was nice to see her, but I was too exhausted to visit with her. She bought Millie some cute clothes.

We have scheduled Millie's baptism for November 25. So excited. My brother will be home by then!!

I am hoping to have some scrappy time tomorrow. And get the recycling to the road for pick up. Maybe a load of laundry.

Elizabeth, I'm working on my list. I was going to to a couple hundred cards for my mothers, but IDK if I will anymore!

Rachel, How exhausting! Is she nursing now? That's so awesome that your bro will be their for the baptism!

It feels like Monday! My kids had yesterday off from school. "fall break" aka the first day of elk season. haha - Hubby is hunting this morning for the first time in years! So, getting the kiddos of to school and cleaning, cleaning, cleaning. I'm between scrappy projects - but my mini is on-going I suppose.

Cute costumes.
Carving or painting pumpkins?

I should be around for a little tonight. About to put the kiddos in bed and have some me time (much needed). Trying to come up with ways to use my scrap paper. Anyone got any good ideas? I am going to finish sorting through my photos too. Maybe if time permits I can do a layout.

Rachel: hopefully you can get some time to do what you need to do. There is nothing wrong with holding a baby. But I will warn you it might be tough going back to work if you do. But if it was me I would hold and spoil away. Try to rotate your options (carrier, bouncer, swing, floor, etc) so you can have one moments to yourself. Glad to hear the feeding is going much better.

I just got finished using some of Halloween scraps to make a card. Hoping to make one more for my brother and then 2 thanksgiving ones since I honestly don't have many fall colors in my scrap stash. I use that up a lot since it's my favorite season. Hoping to use a good amount before the new year. Been using my scraps on some layouts too so that's a plus. Off to do one last card before bed.

What's the challenge for this week? I wont be scrapping tonight as I'm prepping for a midterm and studying interview questions for a job interview tomorrow. Wish me luck! This scrapper wants more money now that I have my BA! I also posted in the galley my challenge LO for last weeks challenge.

Elizabeth - I honestly haven't thought much about creative gifts this year. Maybe I'll make a small desk calendar for the grandparents. I like making framed gifts also mini albums are all the rage

Anyone scrapping tonight?

Hello again. I got scrappy today while Mille slept. I was able to get mostly caught up on her baby book.

My in laws are coming to visit and specifically said that they will hold her while I scrap. Haha.

Heard from my employer today. I will be interviewing for a promotion in the next week or so. It might mean going back to work at 6 weeks rather than 8, but would be a better position for me to go back to.

hey girls!
I've had a blah day... not feeling well again. I'm going to try to get into my doctor soon and see if they can run some tests. I did some research online (I know, not good!) and it could be something as simple as sinusitis or more complicated like diabetes. So I really want to get it solved so I can start feeling better

I might try to play around with scrappy stuff tonight, though. I'm tired of laying around!

Rachel- Sounds like you are having fun with Millie Personally, I would set her down and let her have some "alone" time! Too much stimulation is not always good. My mom says she let us cry in our cribs when it was bed/nap time, and it was good for us!

Haven't really read any of the other chat... sorry!

Hey ladies!
Rachel: good luck with the interview and promotion. That's exciting! Sucks that it shortens your leave, but a promotion is good right?

Monica: hope you feel better and maybe you can find some over the counter meds to help you.

I have been bursting with all kinds of crafty energy today since last night. Made some Halloween and Thanksgiving cards. Going to work on my Christmas ones this weekend maybe. I went to Michaels and got a super cute MME 6x6 Christmas pad (3 of them). Super excited to use them. I can to the conclusion that I will be doing a December daily. First ever and kind of excited. Anyone have any tips on a album to use?

@Elizabeth-maybe a smash album for your December Daily or a 6x6 album since you bought that size pad?

@monica-hope you find a job! I know it's tough

I would rather buy Christmas gifts lol. I'm either lazy or I just think people would rather have stuff. Idk. I've gotten one of my nephew's gifts so far and that's it

No word from the boy for about a week so I assume we're over before we began? idk. I kinda miss him but oh well life goes on..I've gone longer without talking to him but idk I might give him one more phone call. might be worth it might not. it's just one simple call right? doesn't answer then there is my answer. I'll end up seeing him next weekend though if he comes to the person's wedding that set us up. awkward.

I got happy mail today! the OA midway collection. Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I got Pretty paper party from shimelle and the exclusive video, and HBO after all these years so I've been watching trueblood and shimelle. I've watched an entire season of trueblood in like 3 days. and 3 shimelle videos

on another note I wish Scrapbook companies would only release twice a freaking year. By the time I get some of the stuff from CHA they're coming out with a totally new line. less is more people. my bank account hates me...it glares....

anywho It's late its pouring rain so perfect sleep conditions

Elizabeth: I have made mini albums for my DD (twice) and last year used an 8x8 AC ring album.
My advice is to premake pages so it is easy to keep up.

Hi girls, have been reading the chat sporadically but struggling with new hectic schedule...it's all a bit overwhelming to be honest. I am looking forward to a week off at end of November to just catch up on myself. I also plan on having a pamper day at the spa just to unwind!!

Rach, did I read that right? You only get 6-8weeks mat leave???? We get 6months here!!

Caroline: Legally I can take up to 16 weeks of Family Medical Leave and they cannot fill my position. I took 3 weeks before the baby arrived so I could technically take 13 post baby and still have my job. I have already used up the paid time off that I had banked so I am not getting any income. US maternity leave sucks.
We should move to Europe!!!

Hey gals! What do you think about the new layout of 2peas?!

The CD of Millie’s newborn photos came today. Super sweet.
