It's been so long since I used my Cricut Create and I'm thinking of listing it on Craigslist. Trouble is, I can't find the software or manual ANYwhere!! Is there any point listing it? Would someone be able to get software and make it work on their own? Obviously, I'd list it really cheap.

What do you mean by software? It doesn't have any particular software that came with it. I have one there was a CD but it was instructional and that can be replaced or used without it. Most Cricuts that I see for sale at garage sales did not havea box or anything with them. They were priced for $20.00 which I thought was pretty low, but maybe this is why. I've sold three Cricuts one for $200.00 an E, a baby for $100.00 and another baby for $50.00 that I got on deal brand new on ( Black Friday). You might want to go over to the Cricut.com board because I've seen some talk over there the Create can't be updated to work with the new upgrades, so it doesn't work with the Gypsy anymore with the new carts. It might be hard to sell because of this. Mine has been boxed for a year for sell and I haven't pulled the trigger. Like I said check it out because it is not clear to me about what's going on with it. Good luck selling your machine.

It's a stand alone machine. It doesn't need to be connected to the computer. You can sell it as-is, and it will still work fine with cartridges, as long as it still works and the cord doesn't have a loose connection. It did come with a CD that was more of an instructional video, but it wasn't software.

If you bought third party software to go with it so you could use your computer fonts, that software won't work on another computer anyway, or so I have read.

So just go ahead and sell the machine. Stop looking for whatever software you thought went with it.
