I have this fantasy that a new kit club would emerge. Instead of papers and embellishments, it would feature Misters, ink pad, adhesives, pens, maybe a border punch in one kit. It would feature a variety of the new toys in a HSN type kit configuration. Wouldn't that be fun? So say the kit is $35 / month (and because it is a kit things are discounted) A couple months would look like this-
1st months kit:
Tim Holtz Distress ink
3 Misters
sm and large zots
some binder rings
scrappy sand paper
a font cd
a brad setter
2nd months kit:
WRMM tab punch
grunge paper
tiny attacher
extra staples
white gel pen
doodle roller stamp of stars
washi tape
What if somebody already owns a tiny attacher. Maybe there could 2 substitution options each month - 1 big and 1 little???
what do you think? what would your fantasy kit club look like?

I like your club. It's great for those of us that don't have a LSS in or near our town.

I was reading the thread about "do you have something scrapping coming in the mail" and it made me think about the stuff I WISH were coming to me in the mail!

That would be the kind of kit I would sign up for!

I was thinking this the other day. Except I was thinking about adding in a paper pad to use with the tools.

I like this idea....or how about a "build your own kit club". For example, you pick 8 papers from 12 options. You pick one exclusive stamp set from three options. You pick an embellishments grab bag...maybe one is all geometrics, one is arrows, one is flowers and butterflies. Etc.
Then you get a chance to build a kit with all the things you know you personally would use.
Although some of the kit clubs look very enticing, I haven't signed up for any yet because I don't want a pile of bits and pieces that I might not use.

Oooh, I love the idea of a "build your own" kit club. I keep thinking about signing up for different ones, but I always have the same problem when I look through past kits; I love *most* of the stuff, but never all of it. If I could make substitutions that would be fabulous

Mmmmmmmmmmm - build your own kit - yummy. Ok we've put two great ideas out into the scrapworld. I surrender any ownership of mine so go ahead and start your company. You already have customers!!!
Please. | |

I belonged to the IT KIT years ago and I sooo wish it would come back or someone would copy the idea.
You got a full kit every other month complete with a stamp and then the next month you got papers etc that corrdinated with the month before. So when you had leftovers you had stuff to use with them. LOVED THE KIT and it always had great stuff in it!

I love your idea jilliene. I would be first in line to sign up for a kit club like that. I like my tools and coloring tools. I love all those odd bits and bobs like washi tape and binder rings and the other what nots.

That sounds like a brilliant idea! I like the 'options' idea too. It's all the little extras that make this such a fun hobby to me. I love all the 'tools'.

Interesting, after reading the OP and responding, I started thinking of a 'build your own' too lol. I'm kinda the same, haven't signed up for any clubs because I don't want stuff I won't use.

I think this is an awesome idea....Both the Tool Club and the create your own Kit Club.
I think my perfect club would be a combination of both..with a new tool each month and speciality embellishments from small companies like eva-licious and Annie42.

I like the idea, but I wouldn't join. I think there would be too many items each month I wouldn't want. Just in the 1st month you have listed the only thing I really like are the misters...and I own a bunch. the 2nd month just washi tape as I own just about everything else listed.
I think it's great for those that can't get those items or new scrappers, but I'd stay away from including things you can easily get at the big box stores.

I've always wished for an "embellishments only" club. I'd love a stamp or tool included, too. I'd also go for a kit that might have a little paper in it but is primarily other things.

Build your own kit would be awesome: one from Column A, two from Column B, and nothing that you would need to purge, giveaway or re-sell. It sounds like money well-spent since you'd get exactly what you want!
