Going to Phoenix this weekend so DH can help his brother move. He's only done this 900 times and watching it has completely lost its fun. Thankfully my disability gets me out of having to help! Anyway, I was wondering, if I manage to steal the car from them... is there any stores I should hit up for some scrapping goodness?

If you are on the Westside hit up Scraps of Love formally Crops Girls. I was in today and they were unpacking a ton of new products and it looked like they might be resetting the store which normally means they do some great sales. I know they have several Echo Park kits 25% off right now.

If you're on the SE side, you should go to Etc. (used to be Scrapbooks Etc.) HUGE store. Heck, if you're on this side of town, I'll drive ya myself!

When I go to Phoenix, I never miss a chance to shop at Scrapbooks Etc. in Mesa. This is one of the best stores I've ever seen, and I've seen a LOT.

Scrapbook ETC in Mesa (or ETC as Deedy said - that's what its known as now) is awesome. It's owned by the same family that owns Bazzill Paper. So they have every color of Bazzill. While it's a great store, the quilting section is slowly taking over. I guess that's the new LDS thing (the owner family is very strong LDS, as are many of the customers) here in the SE PHX area. Not being critical, but just have been shopping there forever and I've seen sections of the store that used to be large collections of SB/Papercrafting brands and themes, are now just a section of a shelf. Don't get me wrong, they still have tons of SB stuff and its well worth the visit!

I recently visited Scrapbook Barn in Gilbert, as I had heard lots of good things about it. But I wasn't impressed. I'd rather take the time to go to ETC.

Do you have Hobby Lobby's? We have them all over the PHX area now, so if you don't have them, you'll find one near wherever you are staying, I'm sure!

If you're into Shabby Chic, there used to be a store called Melrose Vintage (I think) on 7th Street. While it was more than a scrap store, it had lots of the Shabby Chic type of supplies. Not sure if its still open!

Hope its not too hot for you, coming from Big Bear! While we're cooling down, it will likely still be in the upper 90s here. Dress light!

Okay! DH says we'll go to ETC before we go see his brother. Apparently we'll be in Peoria. I'm into quilting as well, so that helps.

And yes, it'll be much too hot for me. Just like now where BIL lives in Tucson was too hot. I liked when he lived in Pinetop better. It's a better version of Big Bear, CA.

Mystic Paper in downtown Mesa! I LOVED that store but I recently moved away to CO.
The most unique scrapbook store I've ever been too!

Oh also! Scrapbook.com is based in phx, so if you order
Online at their website you can choose local pick up for free instead of shipping! I loved doing that!

Here is a list of Scrapbook and Stamp stores in Arizona:

SCRAPBOOK STORES in ARIZONA

There is also "Phoenix Scrapbook Store" which is a small Paper Arts store inside the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall at I-17 and Cactus in NW Phoenix area, it's not very big, but lots of cool vintage stuff for dirt cheap, like OA, G45, and BG. Newer releases. Very CHEAP prices!

Paper Vineyard has a nice selection in Chandler. Craft Fusion has vintage. Scraps of Love has a good selection of scrap papers and stamps stuff, plus accucut machine for lab time. I miss Mystic Paper - sad that it closed in May.

No more Scrap Happy Sisters or Scrapbooks to Remember, both closed last month. I hope no more LSS end up closing.

It's called The Paper Collage. Vintage stuff, reminds me of Mystic Paper or Melrose Vintage.

I'm so glad an LSS is opening, there were several that closed in 2012. We have so few Scrapbook Stores left in the Phoenix area now. I like seeing papers and stuff in person.

The owner of this new place was one of the former owners of the Crop Girls store and also owns the cute scrapbook store inside the big antique mall over in Goodyear too.

I'd heard that Mystic Paper has closed...not sure. I'm finding Scrapbook Barn to be more interesting than Etc. these days. Etc. is now half fabric which is fun but definitely cuts down on paper crafts. The classes being offered at Scrapbook Barn are a lot more creative and varied than what Etc. has had in the last six months. At least half of the classes at Etc. are sewing proects now.
Paper Vineyard is quite small so if your time is limited, I would skip that one.
