The woman was going OFF in Starbucks this morning about the shortage of syrup to make the coveted Pumpkin Lattes. She not only reamed out the poor employees, but she ranted about all the "wanna-be" pumpkin latte drinkers who are only "jumping on the bandwagon because people like her made it popular."

Relax, lady. I don't even like pumpkin drinks. You can have this wanna-be's share.

Oh, and lady? You may want to lay off the caffeine all together.

It's kind of scary to think that's how someone would react over a pumpkin latte.

Nice. People are idiots. With the week I've had and how I'm feeling, I probably would have gone off on her for being an idiot. Or at least told her how ridiculous she was being over a beverage and that she needs to leave and grow the f*** up.

That sounds like the old ladies I ran into at Arby's a couple of weeks ago. I thought they were going to blow a gasket because they had to use packets of ketchup instead of out of the squeezy thing. (From a germaphobic standpoint, wouldn't the packets be better? That way the ketchup is contained?) Ah, well.

People, they is crazy!!!

Sheesh! She needs to go online, buy her own big bottle of pumpkin syrup and carry it around with her to deal with Starbucks emergencies. Life is too short to stress over a pumpkin latte, even if it was people like her who made them popular.

How well was it handled? This is a tough week with every Starbucks manager in the country in Houston for the Leadership conference.

Personally, outside of pie, I find pumpkin anything completely unappetizing

Are you serious? Some woman actually believes that there's such a thing as wanna be Starbucks drinkers?!?

I guess I might be one of them. I don't like Starbucks but I love pumpkin. Maybe I'll go try one since SHE made it so popular.

This! I used to love the pumpkin spice lattes but I think a few years ago they changed the drink and now I find it to be way to sweet. But then again it's been awhile since I've had one, maybe I need to get one to form a better opinion.

As for the lady having a fit over a Starbucks drink, she needs to Simma Down Now!

I can sort of relate except my addiction is to their Lime Refresher drink (OMG SO GOOD!!!). I was in the drive thru and ordered one, and she told me that they were out of lime. While I didn't go off on her, I was having my own internal freak-out Turns out, they were only out of the actual sliced lime that they use for garnish. So, lesson learned, I'm going to by the mix that they also sell, and keep it in my purse in case of emergencies.
fyi - if you live in a warm climate, those Refresher drinks are the best! Plus they are made from green coffee beans, so lots of caffeine. I've been drinking these instead of a an energy drink bc you get the caffeine without the bajiggity feeling you get from a 5 hour.

OMG. I would have been laughing at her.

I get bummed when they can't make pumpkin lattes but I don't get bitter at the employees. I usually say thanks anyway and go to the Starbucks on the next corner.

If they're out of something they need to post it. I am not in total support of this lady, but understand her frustration. Sometimes I believe it's intentional, expecting you'll buy something else instead. I'll give you an example.

I frequent "Jack In The Box". This has happened 3 times this year. I wait in a line of cars, finally order iced tea, wait again to get to the window, then told they are out at the window. Now, I've spent 15 minutes on my lunch hour for something they could have told me they don't have. Then, they ask "how about a soda?". Yes, I can relate to the woman, except I don't go crazy. I do verbalize my displeasure to the manager. If I didn't love their tea so much, they'd be history!

That's it!

Fall Is Ruined!

"Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte is a staple for coffee lovers each autumn. Its smooth, sweet-yet-spicy flavor is the perfect treat for a crisp October day. Alas, this season, some Starbucks customers will be left thirsty and brokenhearted because there is a Pumpkin Spice Latte "shortage."

Crazy! I tried it and don't like it so don't blame me lol! Now, the Cinnamon Dolce latte is really good but my to-go drink is the Skinny Vanilla latte.

I tried the Lime Refresher, a little too tart for me but not bad. Have you tried the other berry kind? Is it good?

I don't even like Pumpkin Spice Lattes, but those true Starbucks trendsetters have such influence on me that I had to jump on the bandwagon. Now I drink four or five a day, just so I can be trendy.

(just kidding, I love them, trendy or not, and I've only had two so far this fall, so I'm not responsible for the shortage.)

I went to one last weekend and they were out. So I went to one less than 2 blocks away and got it. If I can't get one at all, a cinnamon dolce latte is almost as good.

Honestly, I've had days like that. Not that I've gone totally off on an employee, or taken credit for making an item popular, but sometimes, something like that can be the straw that broke the camel's back.
