Hi Everyone,

I currenlty have the cricut expression and am thinking about getting a cameo. If I do, will I love it as much as my cricut? What is everyone's thoughts on these machines? Just need some help making my decision whether to purchase or not.

Thanks everyone!
Kristen

Honestly, it depends on how you use your machine, and if you feel limited. Why are you thinking of changing?

I don't have the Cameo, I have the Sizzix eClips. I sold my Expression and dies to purchase it. I couldn't be happier. I love that I can use eCal (SCAL for eClips) and create, and cut anything I can think of. I love not being limited to dies. I love the intricacy I get with my eClips.

But, if you don't want to use a computer, you may not want to change machines.

From reading the boards, the Cameo owners feel the same.

Yes, I can spell. No, my Kindle can't.
Just my humble opinion. And no, I wasn't being mean.

I know it's not on your list, but personally, I have a KNK Zing.
I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again....
the KNK Zing cuts heavier materials, including chipboard.

In the interest of fairness, I have a cricut expression that I will likely sell very soon, and an old blue wishblade (same as original silhouette).

It really depends on what YOU need/want the cutter to do.
I'd pass on a cricut, since the third party software to cut svgs can no longer be sold.

I had an expression and got the silhouette sd. I cannot express how much I love the silhouette compared to the expression (which I liked ok but it never cut proper circles).

Thanks everyone! I'm going to keep my cricut because I have many carts that I love and I love my gypsy, but I do feel limited at the same time which is why I want a second machine.

I don't know much about the eclipse but I did like what little I've seen on it. And I've not heard of KNK Zing.

I guess I was leaning more towards the cameo because I understand from others that it does cut very well and can cut the more detailed designs better than cricut. But if there is a comparible choice, I guess I need to research some more!

I have an expression and a silhouette and I am in love with my Cameo! I love the ability to print and cut and to use Svgs. I also love buying images piecemeal and I love the fact that you can cut any font on your computer.

I forgot to say that the KNK Zing can also emboss.

A lot of good info at iloveknk.com

I know there are other vendors that I've heard good things about,
but both my old yellow KNK and my new Zing were ordered through Sandy, so I know first hand that she's great at phone tech support!
