I love lo with several smaller photos but I don't t know where/ how to get them. I tried collage prints but have been unhappy with the quality.
|Posted: 10/6/2012 10:24:39 AM|I would recommend downloading Photosheet. It is so easy. You just drag whatever photos you want into the Photosheet window and it saves as a 4x6 photo on your computer. I've put a 3.5x3.5 instagram photo on a 4x6 using this as well as 2 3x4 and 4 2x3 photos. I then get my photos printed at Costco. $0.16(CDN) per 4x6. I've been really happy with their quality.
Seriously, I cannot recommend Photosheet enough. It is easy and there are so many configuration options. When the Photosheet window is open, you need to click on "Import Custom Layouts from Photily" from the drop down window to get all of the cool ones.

There is a collage feature that will do the same thing as Photosheet. (Even if you don't order from Shutterfly, you can Export these collages as jpg's to a folder on your computer and print them anywhere.)

I use picasa, which I downloaded for free. Then I make a collage print putting 2 or 4 images on a 4x6.

I put my pics on a memory stick and take them to the Sony Picture Machine (?) at Archivers, where I then add them to either a 4x6 or 5x7 collage in whatever configuration I need. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays all of their prints are 50% off.
Probably not the most cost effective or greatest quality, but quick and easy. I never have more than a handful of prints anyway.

Another fan of photosheet here.
I also recently used my epson picturemate to print some 3x4's and it was fine too.
Using Photosheet and printing elsewhere is certainly less expensive, because of ink costs.

I don't print many photos (gasp!), so I use my Canon Selphy with Photosheet exclusively. If I printed a lot, I would definitely arrange with Photosheet and then print for cheap.

Another picasa user here- I like it because I can use it to edit my photos and then put them a in a collage all at once. I have found that the quality is good.
Also, I appreciate the face finder feature. It organizes you photos for you by person so if you want to find a picture of say, your mom you just click on her name and it shows you all the pictures of your mom and you can choose one. I think it is fantastic!
