How do you scrapbook their ribbons/medals? Would love to see pictures if you have any creative ideas for several ribbons on one page or page protector.

Thank you!

I have and have had swimmers, but have never scrapped their ribbons or medals.

I HAVE scrapped one of my children's ribbons from Student of the Month. I scanned the ribbon, printed it on photo paper and cut it out, using it on my page. It worked out nicely and looked just like the real thing.

You could do something similar with any of your child's special ribbons.

I am in the process of assembling my youngest son's swimming awards in a frame. You could always do that and then take a photo of the ribbon/medal collection using the picture on your page.

That's all the ideas I have. HTH!

I scrap a 12 x 12 album for both of my swimmers, a new one for each year. So an album has summer and winter seasons. A page is devoted to each set of ribbons from a meet. (I just tape them at the top--can still be lifted up to see the backs). And pages are mixed in with pictures, news articles, etc. Under each ribbon I write the time/event. The only thing that doesn't directly go in are medals. I photocopy the time on the back of the medal and put the copy in w the ribbons. The kids enjoy looking back at them, ESP the pics w their friends and to check their times. Can send pics tomorrow if interested. Must get to sleep for swim meet tomorrow! Hope that helps!

I have cheerleaders but I do not scrap their medals. I keep them in my Curio Cab.

Good question. With 3 dd's I have heaps of medals from gymnastics, ski racing, rowing and track. My youngest just went off to college and we have discussed the "Clean Up" of their rooms- which means dealing will all of the "hardware" (trophies too).

At the time of the events I tried to take photos of my dd with her award, and some I did as close up pics of the award and then scrapped the pic on the page.

Very sad to think those days are over (well. almost over, my middle dd is still competing Div 1 in her college sport)

Mine are equestrians and the ribbons they win are too big to scrap. They also have a metal bracket on the back that is meant to hook over the horses bridle so it would never fit in a book. I do often take a photo of the ribbons they win at each event. I have one photo I like particularly where I've hooked the ribbons over a weathered wooden stable door. I'll see if I can find it.

My DD plays double letter Soccer, Flag Football and Hockey, I usually take a photo of her with her medal around her neck or her trophy along with a team photo, and then scrap the event.
