I have great meaningful pictures and supplies and I want to sb again. However it's like I'm paralyzed about how to start. I organized my sb suppiles thinking that would help and got out some lids, but I'm still sitting here staring. Any hints, tips about ways to jump start this process again?

There have been a few good threads lately about kick-starting your mojo. Watching a Glitter Girl video, looking at idea books, etc. were all suggestions.

What got ME finally creating again was a deadline - I was moaning to my sister about how I just couldn't get going, and she just said "send me a picture of a completed page by tonight." And what do you know - I did! Once I actually got past the hump of creating again, it started to flow and I wanted to keep going.

Sometimes I start with a page kit to get myself going.

What gets me going is finding a layout or a mini album or a new technique on Pinterest. It takes the guesswork out of it and I can just get started instead of the sitting and staring thing.

How about starting by making a card or an embellishment. Or try a new technique. Glad you're scrapping again.

I took Shimelle's Challenge - the one for NSD about maxing out supplies. It got me going, and got me realizing what supplies I wanted to use but "couldn't".

Maxing out Supplies

This month, I challenged myself to a layout a day. So far, I have averaged 2 layouts per day. I found that by setting a goal for the day I've been more motivated to scrap.

Yes, I can spell. No, my Kindle can't.
Just my humble opinion. And no, I wasn't being mean.

Here's what I do:

1. Find the best, most favorite pictures of an event that I want to show off.
2. Find a sketch that works with those pictures (helps when you can dive right in, rather than having to be completely creative)
3. Peruse the gallery or pinterest for motivation
4. Challenge myself to finish the layout before I do anything else that day, then post to the 2Peas gallery.

And, as Nike says, Just Do It. LOL!

Go over to Scrapbook Generation and download the free sketch for this month. I think the Aug and September freebies are still up too! Get some pics and use the sketches! That's what I'm going to try to do. Usually, a page kit with instructions helps me get going, but I'm running out of those, so I'm resorting to the SG sketches because they are kind of like getting instructions. Whatever you choose to do, have fun and enjoy the process!

I love these suggestions-

Something that gets me going is to find a photo or two that make me all warm inside!

Then, find a sketch for one or two photos and have at it.
I went here today to find inspiration to get a page done:

i took time off from crafting recently while a friend of mine went through her cancer. it was hard to focus on crafting when you have that on you mind. but she is thankfully in remission so i went back to crafting and, like you said, it was tough at first. i, too, reorganized my room and nothing. no motivation, no idea where to start. rather than force myself, i waited for inspiration to come and it did. in the form of a few new pieces of paper and embellishments. mind you, i have enough stash to never buy a think ever again but the new paper got me excited about new projects and after that, i've been crafting steadily. so, find some inspiration and then sit down again and see if the crafting comes to you.

Try using a sketch you really like to jump start your page or scrap lift a page you love or an idea from it. Works for me when I get into a rut. Good luck!

Scraplift!! It's even simpler than using a sketch. I find layout, or better yet one of the free classes from Glitter Girl or Jen G, and I just copy along using whatever supplies I have. No thinking needed so no need to be paralyzed.
