On the thread about what you regret using on your layouts a lot of you said " epoxy stickers". I have quite a few of these but have used them on only a couple of layouts.

My question is are they all bad? Mine are all at least a year old and some are much older. So far they all look fine. Is that because they only get bad after being on a layout or am I just lucky enough to have all 'good' ones? Yeah, like that is possible

I do see one page of them that are a bit 'curled'. Creative Imaginations I think. I really don't want to toss them but if they are going to 'self-destruct' I guess I will

Is there any hope for them?????

No, I don't think they are all bad. I still use them myself in my PL album & I just bought some from the Glitz line the other day, so I'm hoping that they've improved over the years. I think a lot of people are referring to the older ones & things like those Making Memories clear ones....I know those always turned yellow. I also have a few from Creative Imaginations that have curled &/or yellowed, so I'm not buying that brand anymore. I still love epoxy stickers

Here's my take on it. It's a petroleum based product, just like vinyl letters. One day they'll leach out a residue or It may be a discoloration. I just don't think it's a stable product by nature.

I still have a good stash!

I bought the country ones, can't remember the brand but these were the France one. Yep within a short amount of time they are yellow, yuck. Dummy me thought well maybe it was just a bad batch so I bought a new pack, yep those yellowed too. I'm not buying any more even though I wanted different country ones and love the design.

I'm pretty sure the ones you are referring to are by Creative Imaginations. I have some that I bought for my Vegas trip last month....got home & found that I already had a set of them & yep, they're yellowed....not sure how long I've had the other ones, but now I'll be returning the new set I bought

I had a bunch from MM, mind you they were at LEAST 7 years old...they became yellow...so I gave them to my 3 yo to have a hey day with. She loved them and I didn't mind not one bit to throw them out once she was done with them

I have alot of the clear ones and ones with designs/words. I have found thtat the clears ones seem to yellow more than the others.

Many of my Creative Imagination Epoxy stickers went bad. I just bought a set at a Expo in Aug and those have curled already too. Yes, they do yellow, but I continue to buy and use them. If they yellow I will color over them with Alcohol marks and I reglue too. I'm not too concerned.

I didn't have any Creative Imaginations epoxies that I remember. I had one set that I bought at a Hallmark store but they weren't a Hallmark product - but not a known scrapbook brand. Those curled within a month (and one of them is immortalised as it was on a layout for publication and it curled and moved before photography... the layout in the magazine ended up with a gap of glue where it should have been and the epoxy was randomly on top of someone in the photo, as if I had censored them out of the story ) and others still look fine. I used the pink/red wedding epoxies from KI/Love, Elsie throughout my wedding album and they all still look fine. I bought a bunch knowing I would work on those pages for years so I still have some in the packaging and then there are plenty in the album - no problem with either.

I gave away a bunch of Making Memories epoxy words and shapes a while back, convinced I would never use them... reading all those comments made me both glad I didn't and worried that I may have contributed to trouble in someone else's album. Eeep.

If they are not long-term, maybe they can go on cards to people we suspect put them in the bin anyway.
