I have mailed off about half of your swap items. I loaded up all I could carry and took them with me for mailing after the doctor's appointment. I will mail off the rest on Saturday....

Hey ladies,
Ok so I know this is totally off topic but I wanted your opinion on something. So here is goes.
Im new to this project life thing. Just had a baby 6 months ago,I am doing her scrap book PL style,up to her one year. I also want to do a family project life book, but im afraid that it would overlap her book and i wont have to much to say about the week, because we really don't do much. Will it be bad if i just do our family pl for the time that we do something out of the ordinary day? I need advice on how to do this. Reminder there are about 6 of these still at my house. I carried all I couold the other day and was going to get the rest, but my post office is ALWAYS so busy! My hubby and I are going in the morning with the last bunch.

I personally do my own PL album and then I am working on what I like to call an "EVENT" Album for each of my granddaughters. Every time I get to see them which is about once a month....sometimes more, I do a page for their book. So their book may only have say 20 pages by the end of the year, but I have capture their time with there grandparents for them to have at a later time in their lives.
Hope I am making sense....

I actually haven't started doing pl pages yet, but I have a friend who does them. Her books are a mix of pl and traditional scrapbooking. They are fabulous!!! I love the mix of the two styles, so that's how I'm going to do mine as well. | |

Congratulations on your little one! That's a great photo in your profile! I started doing PL last January when my daughter was about to turn two. It was easy to use PL to go back to her first year and a half and scrapbook it as one book, then I started a second PL album for our family of three, which just became four with the arrival of our son last May. I'm still working on a family PL album for 2013 - I do a layout for each week or two weeks combined. I'm going to make a separate book for my son's first year.
My son's book will have a layout or two for each month, then layouts for different topics like favorite toys, nursery, photos with different family members, random pictures I like, sleeping positions, and baby mementos (his hospital bracelet, knitted cap, onesie, welcome cards). Check out Ali Edwards's blog for a great video on how she put together her baby album.
I'm wondering if I should have a separate album for each of them for to cover their early years (2-5). I'm thinking a lot of that will be covered in our family PL book Is anyone else doing something like that? | |

Lauren, I have a separate book for each kid. Sometimes I do a monthly PL spread and i'll throw a page in here or there. It holds their art, report cards, etc. The family PL book is mine!   | |

Got mine - They are so fun!! My kids play this game when ever I get swaps to try and guess which one I did. While looking through them they picked out their favorites - which were pretty much all of them!
