I was on the fence, too. A few weeks ago, I made a few of my own templates to play with and I made about 8 layouts and loved them. Placed my first order with their holiday sale and am patiently waiting for my templates to arrive...hopefully today so I can use them this weekend.

I love that the approach lets your paper shine. I'm really liking the look.

Totally re-energized my scrapbooking. I have made more pages since getting my templates late June than I have in a year...maybe two years. I am literally making a page a day, probably could do more if I had more time. I also made 42 cards in two weeks using the card templates. I used up some much of my old paper stash...some 6x6 stacks I had since like 2005!

I have a cricut and over 100 cartridges, probably like 50 punches, every tool under the sun, but using these simple templates got me to be more productive than ever. I highly recommend them. They are versatile and they can integrate with your style. I still do all my layering and embellishing with the templates, but the thing is you don't have to! Your pages will still look great just using all your pretty paper and photos.

It's a nice idea, especially if you are new to scrapping but for me, I have been scrapping for almost 10 years....not my style.

I just got my Holiday Bundle today that was on sale, maybe still is. I was kind of shocked how large the templates are with the exception of the Tiny Templates. I'm going to use them today and see how I like them. I have several of the borders, photo templates (all of them and I absolutely LOVE these for arranging photo placement if I want to make a layout to put pics on later), strips and a couple accesory templates. I have to say that I love the look of the finished pages in their gallery. I also found a post on their blog that helps to pick out papers for making your page. I like that they use PP for the background, but you could always use cardstock.

I have a handful of them and I like them. When I only want one of a shape, it is annoying to pull out my laptop and get my Cameo all set up, etc. I don't generally do 12 inch long borders so those particular templates are less useful for me, but the various shaped ones are great. And I find they are also very useful for cards and altered projects as well.

A few bad photos I snapped with my phone, but I wanted you to see how you can do a cardstock background.

On the first layout I used a bracket template, scallop template, a small tag, small bracket, 8" border, a large tag, two different sized circles, a small flower, and a heart.

On the second layout I used a 12" border, a large ring template, two sizes of star templates, a small circle, a small starburst, and some 12" strip templates (for design and positioning)

You can cut shapes with your cutters but it the trace and cut method is faster and uses the paper more effeciently.

While it's not my style of scrapping, I purchased the photo templates and the mini photo templates. Thought about making my own, but then i'd have to search out the product i needed, put an eyelet in them, label them...etc.- rather just buy them! They are super useful when trying to fit a large number of photos, or even a few on a page. I'm not a 2 page scrapper, but i do them on occasion and the templates are great for that.
THey are a small business, and i love supporting small businesses. They are quick to respond to questions and the product is great quality.

i order just one set of the borders just to try them i like to have different ways of doing things if not i get bored of the same style.... i think they will be fun to play with when i don't want to think much or sit and look for the patterns i want on the cameo or cricut... i also think they will be great for my DD she gets fustrated because is hard for her to come out with a plan for her pages so i really think she will have fun with these... i just will cut flowers, brackets and shapes from the machines to add... if i like the concept i will order other boders and shapes.... do they do sale regularly?

I've had mine for a while and never used them. I was determined to use them today when I got the Holiday templates in the mail. These are SUPER FUN! I made a one page Christmas layout using 2 borders and the Christmas tree template. I used stickles to put dots to look like ornaments on the tips of the tree. I used old pics from 1979 that I had no clue what to do with, there were only 3 and they were not great photo quality, so I just wanted to get them on a page. It took me awile to figure out what papers to use and in the end, I ended up going with red cardstock for background, the rest PP. After the long decision of what papers to use from the BG Blitzen collection, it only took me minutes to cut out my shapes and attach to page. I'm really happy how the one pager turned out and can't wait to do this again!

Well, the sale is for the Holiday Accessory Sets and the Mini Holiday Accessory. I'm almost positive that in the month of December she does 20-25% off everything you order and there should be more stock by then. I went to the Blog Archives to find out when the next sale might be!!!

I found for me, my first order consisted of mostly borders, photo templates, strips and 2 accessory sets. The thing I really needed to complete a page were the tiny accessories. The Holiday Accessories that is on sale was the perfect fit for this time of year!

ETA: Tina, did you get a chance to use yours today??

Finished another double page layout today usig the boarders. The most time consuming part with this is like any other way you scrap....picking out the right papers. I so want to mix and match papers, but it seems it just looks better using from the same line which I have a lot of that since I'm a kit buyer. I did break down 3 more traditional kits today to do the spread using 7 photos. They were back from 1991-1984. Didn't take many photos at that time and of course the quality isn't there. Had a hard time choosing between Daisy D Christmas paper and some older traditional paper from Bo Bunny. I decided to go with BB. Watch when you use the templates that you flip them over on a 2 page spread so that is boarder is cohesive. I covered a lot of that up with pics and embellies. I used the Tiny Accessorie Snoflake and painted it with some old MM glitter paint. Looks great except maybe because the bottle was old, the tips of the snowflake are kinda pink!!!

I think this system would be more challegning if using different manufactures paper lines. It's hard to find things that blend with other manufacturers. The line I used was using a more traditional grean and red, an I had a time trying to find some brads to put in the middle of the poinsettia I made, but I found them. Most of my brads tend to be more that lime green, bright red, blue or white.

Now, If I didn't have to spend so much time looking for the right patterened paper for my background, I'd be all set. Sometimes, I'm sure, I will only use a cardstock background. It again, was SO MUCH FUN! I'll be doing this for a while and probably will get sick of it, but right now I'm having the time of my life and enjoying the beautiful layered layouts! It was nice to take the first pic I ever took of Christams and start with that. My kids are going to LOVE looking at the Christmas Album on Christmas Eve!!!

In all of these recent posts about KLD, someone mentioned that her family liked the look of her pages done with the KL templates better than her other ones. Up until now, I've always scraplifted and I've lifted some beautiful, some simplistic, some that came with instructions, so basically, I've done it all. My husband was watching me as I put this partiular layout together and I don't know if it was the pics (Pics are the focus of KLD just like Scrapbook Generations layouts are) or the desing that he liked, but when I was just about done, he came over to the table and said that he really, really liked what I had done with this page! Made me feel good. He's watched me scrap before, but never gave a compliment like that!
