I have never really looked before, but do they make scanners that will scan a 12x12 scrapbook page. If they do, any recommendations? I have this lofty idea of scanning all my 12x12 scrapbook pages and putting them in books for my kids.

My Mom wanted one too, but after checking our pricing it was too much. She just went to Kinkos and Made color copies. They had the ability to do 12x12. And I think they also scanned her pages in 12x12 and put it all on a disc. | |

She just went to Kinkos and Made color copies. They had the ability to do 12x12. And I think they also scanned her pages in 12x12 and put it all on a disc.
I like the idea of scanning them to a disk. | |

Mustek has several A3 scanners that scan 11.7 x 16.5. I got one 9 years ago for $150 and it was pretty good. Not the best scanner in the world, I had to "brighten" up the colors, it scanned kind of pastel.
I'm sure they are even better now. They have several models than scan A3 size now. I checked and you can get them for under $200. I really like it for scanning not only 12x12 pages but for over sized pictures.
You don't miss much by the fraction of an inch under 12 inches and MUCH MUCH cheaper than the true 12" wide scanners I've seen. | |
