This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges on 2peas and is a fun place to come chat with other scrappers.

1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. Mark the box for Pokey Peas as you post your layout. Put a link to your layouts on this Pokey Peas Thread for November. (If you don't know how to post a link, leave a note to me on the Pokey Peas Thread or peamail me and I will help you.)

2. This can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items.

3. Please leave praise for others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts.

4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or a dozen. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new Peas.

Please contact me with any questions.

NEW MEMBERS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME!!!

Good Friday morning Peas! Hope the beginning of your weekend starts off well! It is cold and wet here again this morning. We lost power the other night for a couple hours but have been fine otherwise. There are folks north of us without power-hope you have power Val! Tomorrow is DSD so have a fun one all you digi scrappers! I have decided we are going to make two pages this month so plan to post more frequently! I have some pages worked out so need to get them scrapped and posted this weekend! I also have a layout to do for my digi class!

Nylene-Thanks for the new cinnamon scented thread! We so appreciate what you do for us! Glad you are able to see a little better since they added the gray. Wish I could figure a way to fix it for you.

Val-how are you? Do you have power? We miss you!

Pam-where are you also????? We miss you too!

Kelly-I assume you are busy with cards, drawing and your creative abilities! Please stop by & say Hi!

Waving a big HI to everyone! Let's work to get 2 pages this month!!!!!

Hugs, Cindy

I just wrote a long post and lost it as I tried to link my pages. ARGH!

Cindy, I hope you are in a chatty mood. We'll have to really hurry to get 2 pages on this thread this month. We are missing a lot of our regulars who must be really busy. I want people to know they can drop in and out as life allows.

Val, is your sister involved with the NY disaster?

A week or so ago there was a 2peas thread about Where do you live/want to be scrap buddies. I met 2 women on that thread and we met IRL at Archiver's in Orem yesterday. It was really a nice day getting to know one another. We hope to do this once a month and rotate between our towns. I did get 2 very simple pages finished and 6 more thank you cards for my DD.

How I Love This Face

Waving to all you Pokeys. Drop in when you have time.

Hi, Jessie! How are the moving plans coming? You need to post some photos of your little one with her new little teeth. What a fun age! Glad to see you dropping by.

Kelly, it's the 3rd and we haven't heard from you. Hope you are OK!

I'm sending a Happy Birthday to Angie! The only reason I know it's her birthday is that I gave birth to her a few years ago. Wishing you a great weekend, Anj. We'll celebrate with you and your DH when you get here!

Cindy, we will need you to keep this chatty thread going. I love the layouts you posted on your blog. You are really cranking out beautiful pages this year, my friend.

Pam and Val, we are missing you. Amy and Kim, we are missing you. I hope we get a few of our regulars popping in this month. Sarah, how's USA life by now?

I need to clean up my scraproom so I can do some pages and mess it all up again. It's a constant circle.

Have a great weekend, everyone. I'll be glad when the voting is over on Tuesday and the political ads stop. Things will quiet down some.
Hugs to all.

I would love to join you ladies, I need to light a fire under myself to scrap more! I do have a question though, when uploading do I need to include all the details about brands of paper and items used? I am afraid I don't have all that information for everything in my stash! How do I handle this? Also, I think I know how to link, but if someone could message me instructions, that would be helpful! I am newer here, I have been lurking for awhile, but decided to come out and play!

Welcome, Emily! We'd love to have you join us.

You do not need to list all your manufacturers, etc. with your layouts. It's just a way for people to find layouts made with certain brands of paper and embellishments. You do need to mark at least one thing,(can be a color or subject) in order for it to post.
I will send you a peamail with the instructions for posting a link.
Tell us a little about yourself. My info in listed on my profile. We are a pretty laid back group, but we do encourage each other to scrap!

Good Morning Peas!!!! Wow it was so nice to wake up and see we have two new ladies joining us! Welcome to Emily and Padni! Welcome to both of you! Can't wait to see your creations Emily and Padni your work is beautiful!!!! You will love it here! No pressure and beautiful paper crafting!
I am Cindy, wife of a wonderful man, mom of 2 DD's, grandmother of 2. I am also a retired nurse and my passion is scrapbooking! I have been scrapping almost 4 years now and I think my passion for it grows everyday! I am mostly a traditonal paper scrapper but also have been dabbling in some digital. I mainly wanted to learn the techniques for generational albums and I do family calenders every year. This is my scrappy home!

I am going to continue my quest to get 2 pages this month and with a couple of new ladies it will be a little easier I hope!

I plan on working on my digi layout for my class today and maybe start working on my Christmas cards. So much to do!!!!! Oh my dinner at my DD's house was delicious! She makes a delicious roast beef hash with a mushroom sauce that melts in your mouth! She also made me one of my favorites-cherry pie! Well hope you have a great day and I will be back later -hopefully to post my layout!

Hello, Pokey Peas! I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween! I am so happy to have some time to check in at the beginning of the month! The extra hour last night gave me some time this am before church. We had a crazy October because all of us were sick at different times (and poor little Katie twice!), but we are all fine now.

Val, I hope you are okay in the aftermath of Sandy!

Nylene, I love the layouts of your granddaughter. I just left some love.

Cindy, IRL, I talk all the time, so maybe I will have time to "chat it up" here and help us get to the second page!

Welcome Emily and Padni!

I have still been in a scrapping drought because of my crazy schedule, but the prizes for DSD yesterday at Scrap Orchard inspired me! I did a layout of my new little neice and one with some old pics of little Katie!

Hey everyone. I am still here October was crazy crazy for us - my parents were over visiting for most of the month, and then it was Halloween. I seriously have no idea where the time is going. I am loving the cooler temperatures, I can see why the locals enjoy November so much

Life is good The kids are really settled now. We are proud of how they have adapted and are doing so well. Tom got on the honor roll with his straight A report card, and Jemma had A's and one C - her C was in US History, so not her strongest subject - but so proud of how hard they are both working.

Halloween was a hoot - we all got dressed up, and decorated the house big style I think I went overboard with the candy buying though

We took a trip to Orlando a few weekends ago, and did the Universal theme parks. We had so much fun! We have another day to use up on our tickets, and so I think we are going down in December and we'll visit Sea World too - Mark gets one free pass a year to either Sea World or Busch Gardens, so we need to use up this years pass!

Welcome to our newest Pokeys, nice to meet you! I am a British pea, living in Florida - my DH is military and got a really nice posting

Val, Val, Val, Val, Val!!!! (Too much Big Bang Theory watching here) I hope you are OK after Sandy. I wanted to say to you that I have started running, and I think of you often when I go out I finished the C25K program 2 weeks ago, and have now started the 10K trainer. I am going to run the local neighbourhood Turkey Trot 5K soon, just to show I can do it

We are in recovery mode this weekend - we went to a costume party on Friday night at DH's boss's house and it all got a bit messy I am sure that the non-Brit's there thought we were all maniacs It was an excellent night, but boy did we feel it yesterday... DH spent most of the day in bed - lightweight that he is - whereas I had to take Tom 30 mins across the city to an ice skating party... At least he is making up for it today - he is out washing the cars We are going out for lunch later, as we won a gift card for a local restaurant in a raffle at DH's gym - they had a Breast Cancer fundraiser. We are using it as a well done for great report cards celebration as well

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello everyone! I'm still here too. Sorry, I've been away so long. Just been ridiculously busy with work and life in general.

Nylene - as always, thank you so much for always getting our thread going. Even though I may not be here as often as I would like, you always make me feel welcome. Your photos and layouts of Sammie are ADORABLE!

Cindy - you are so good about always being here on the thread and encouraging everyone. Hope you are doing well. I loved your layouts. The color palettes are perfect for fall.

Welcome Emily and Padni! Padni - I love your projects! They are all so beautiful.

Amy - good for you for getting layouts completed. I haven't been so lucky. I think I'm the pokiest of all the peas. The only thing I made last month is this card for a friend:

Happy Halloween card

Val - hope you and your family are doing ok. Let us know how things are.

Jessie - hope everything is going well. Post some pics so we can see where you are.

Sarah - wow! Sounds like you've been really busy. You'll have to post some pictures of your Halloween costumes. I love Halloween! My dh and I went to a themed party (Insane Asylum). We went as the white swan and the black swan. lol

Kelly - hope to see you here on the thread soon. Would love to see some more of your beautiful cards.

Wow look at us go!!!!! So nice to see you Amy, Annie, Sarah and Kelly! Hope you all had a great Sunday, and the time change isn't driving yo crazy!

Sarah-Wow you have been a busy girl and so glad you and your family are adjusting to the USA!!! Such good news that your children are doing well in school-I worried about that as it might have been such a change.

Annie-I wondered where you have been-I had not seen you here or on the mb's! Don't get overworked and burnt out! Miss seeing your work!

Kelly-hope you are feeling better! Big (((HUGS))) to you my friend! We miss you! I want an update on your drawing!

Amy-totally understand why we have not seen you but I love that you found time to drop by and post some of your pages!

Hi, Pokeys!

Welcome to Padni! I love the projects you have posted. I also took a peek at your blog. I love your little albums. So nice that you have join us.

Emily, I hope you got my peamail and can figure out how to post a link. We'd love to see your work.

Anne, so nice to see you this month. I want photos of the Black Swan and White Swan. I'll bet you two were pretty classy! Love the card you posted. I really want to try that. I love the design.

Sarah, so glad that you are getting settled and comfy in the USA. I think your children are doing wonderfully in school. I'm sure US History is Greek to recently transplanted children. Sounds like you have been very busy. Drop by when you have a minute. I'm enjoying my little British Cub Scout, but he's lost his shyness and I think I liked him better quiet and shy!! I love to hear him talk. I think of you when he speaks.

Amy, so glad you got a chance to do some scrapping. I know you are very, very busy. Are you still trying to teach Cub Scouts, too? I hope you don't overdo. Stop by when you can. I love seeing photos of your photogenic children.

Cindy, at the rate you are going, we will make 2 pages on this thread this month. I'll try to check in more often.

Kelly, I'm so sorry you've had some rough days. Hope you are feeling better today. I'm anxious to see the new faces you are drawing. Is your DH still working the temp job? Lots of hugs to you.

My DH is having surgery on Thursday and will be in the hospital for 3-5 days. It's nothing serious, just needs to be done before it has to be done as an emergency. I will spend most of my time with him for the first few days, so I may be absent from 2peas. I plan to take card stuff with me so I don't go nuts just sitting there.

I finished 2 more pages, but haven't scanned them. I'll try to do it tomorrow. Tonight I'm exhausted after a very busy Cub Scout Den meeting.
I have 9 boys and it's wall-to-wall Cubs in my house! We voted this AM as soon as the polls opened, so I'm ready for bed early.

Hugs to all of you. Keep scrapping!

Please keep us updated on his recouperation. You will be in my prayers. I was closer to come sit with you, and help in anyway I could but can only wish and pray from here. Hello my Pokey friends!!

I am so sorry I fell off the side of the earth. Lots and lots of odds and ends going on and every time I think of popping in here and saying hi, something else pops in my way . Same with scrapping

I am going to just stop by right now as I have to shower and get to dgs's class as I volunteer there on Wednesday mornings. Then my friend that I help scrap moved into a more "assisted" living area of the Independent Living she was in and I'm going to have Wednesday's as my day to scrap with her. I have a meeting at 1:30. I hope by this afternoon I haven't done too much as Monday I had a molar pulled (took forever and came out in 6 pieces) and he put some calcium chips in my jaw in case I want an implant at a later date). I'm really a wimp when it comes to the dentist. I probably said that in the past.

I have lots to talk about but not enough time right now. My neighborhood lost power but not us! Usually we're the first to lose it but not this time. I have a couple of neighbors that had roof and tree damage. Nothing compared to NY and NJ..those poor poor people!!

Nylene, I did see that Steve is having surgery tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with him and you. I think it's better to have a preventative surgery done when it's available. Hugs to both of you.

Sarah! I'm so proud of you!! It will become addictive in a few short months. I'm signed up with dh and dd for our local Turkey Trot 5k too. Have fun!

Welcome to the new members. I'm Val and you can read all about my crazy life on my blog or wait til I come back (some time soon I promise) and I'll tell ya all about me.

Love and miss you guys!!

Hello my favorite scrappy friends!!!!!!

I am still on earth and just wanted to stop in to say hi and try to catch up a little.

Welcome to all the new girls.. I am Pam and I am a scrapaholic,no twelve step programs or meetings for me. I love to scrap and I do it as much as possible. My real passion is probably photography but who is keeping track!

Nylene, thoughts and hugs to you and DH,hope the surgery is uneventful and successful. Stick together!!

Cindy, hope you are almost mended. That Becky can stop by any time and cook, sounds like a yummy meal. Is DH still spending time at the farm, what's new there?

Hope all the children in our scrappy family had a great Halloween,I know how much fun it is for them.

Not much new for me,working on another rug, planning a south trip in January with dd,dgd and bffs. Also a trip to Holmes County tomorrow.

Well,I have been much too windy, just saying hi to all,

Wow! It's nice to hear from so many Pokey Peas this month. I just have a couple of minutes and wanted to check in.

Welcome, Padni and Emily. I haven't had a chance to look at your posts yet but I look forward to it. I hope you find this group inspiring. I have gotten more pages done since I joined than I had in years. It's still not much but a step in the right direction.

About me: I am married. I have two kids--a girl and a boy. I am a digital scrapper and occasionally make cards. I've lived in California for a few years now but I'm originally from Utah. Nylene is kind of like a mom to our pokey peas group but I'm especially fortunate because she's my mom IRL too!

Thank you for all the birthday wishes! It was a great day.

There goes the alarm telling me to pick up my Kindergartener. I probably shouldn't ignore it. I'll try to come back soon and tell you about our Halloween.

P.S. Cindy, it looks like you've more than met your goal for two pages this month! Way to go. I'll go see them soon.

Hi ladies! Checking in! I don't have much to report in the way of scrapbooking, my life has been pretty crazy as of late. A little about me, I have 2 girls .. 10 yrs ( she is my bonus kidtepdaughter, but she lives with me full time so it's just like she is mine ) and a 16 month old. Both of them giving me a run for my money on a daily basis for two different reasons !

I work full time outside of the home and my husband travels pretty frequently for his job, so a lot of the time it's just me and the girls!

I did get the mail about posting links, so I promise to give that a go once I get something completed !

Hope everyone had a great day- and here's to a great weekend!

Hi all

Angie, belated birthday wishes to you!

Val, aww shucks, thanks for all the running encouragement. I went out and did 3 and a half miles this morning. My Turkey Trot is next Saturday I started doing longer runs, but cut back to 3 miles as I don't think my core muscles are quite up to going further just now

Nylene, you and DH are in my thoughts this week as he goes through surgery, I hope everything goes to plan
Man, we would love you to be DS's Cub Den leader. DS's is not very dynamic at all. They have just combined 2 den's of webelos 2's together, and sometimes I think that communication is lacking. DH went on a camp the other weekend, and was disappointed that the den leader only seemed to do the cooking. He didn't really interact with any of the Cubs at all. There were some Scouts there too, but their leadership skills were questionable too and DS got quite frustrated when his group kept on being told they were doing something wrong, but then were not shown how to do it right. DS has been put off going up to Scouts as a result - he says it is nothing like back home at all

Waving hi to everyone else

Looking forward to a long weekend of doing not much at all. We will go and see the new James Bond movie, and I think we are going to go on a bike ride one day too. DH is wondering how many meals he can get for free Sunday and Monday We didn't realise how much of a perk being in the military really is over here... We don't get anything like this back home God bless America

I'm trying to post a pic of the kid's halloween costumes. I hope it works.
The kids were both really excited about the movie Brave this year. (I admit we're heavily biased since my husband spent 3 1/2 years working on the film, but still, a great movie.)

My daughter was Merida, of course. My son was one of the triplets, or at least that was the intention. He called himself Mordu instead and roared ferociously all the time.

We had lots of parties this year but the best is always Pixar's day-after-halloween trick or treat. The employees bring left over candy and the kids trick or treat around the offices. The highlight for me was when John Lasseter complimented the kid's costumes that I made. I'm sure he complimented everyone but it still made me feel good.

Looks like November will not be a productive scrapbooking month for me. But I'm loving all the cards, pages and conversation happening here this month. Keep posting!

WOW Angie the pic is not showing up. Maybe you can try later. Check to see if it says iamge twice or image and img and delete the img on both ends of the link as that happened to me the other day. I really would like to see those pics!

Nylene-you are in my thoughts and prayers and I am so waiting to hear good news about Steve! Hope you are both doing well.

Sarah-it sounds like you guys are adapting to the USA very well. I was sorry to hear about the DS's scout leader. Hopefully he was having a bad day and will have more enthusiasm for what he is doing.

Pam-so nice to see you stopping by. I have been posting my layouts from my digi classes here on 2 peas-check them out if you have a chance. You did see the one but there are 5 of them here now.

Waving a big Hello to everyone. Here's is my latest digi lo from my class. This week we learned to do extractions.

Frolic

Thanks for looking!

Finally, I got the image to post in my last comment. Thanks Cindy for the suggestions. I'm loving all the pages you're getting done this month!

Mom, send Dad our love. I hope he'll feel better by the time we get there. I don't want to hinder recovery with the little ones constantly underfoot. But Drew sure misses his "Ga-Pa." We asked Sam what she looks forward to most: making paper dolls with Grandma.

Have a happy holiday, everyone!

Thought I'd give you an update on DH. His surgery went well on Thursday and they released him from the hospital on Sunday. He was OK for a few hours but became more and more miserable. I took him to the ER last night and we spent several hours there. He is now home again, but with a catheter and not happy about it. I really think he's doing OK, but he needs to take it easy. (Which is just about impossible for him!)

Angie, I love those photos of the kids. Love that lock of red hair hanging out of Sam's wimple. Love Drew's bear hat and the cute kilt. I can't wait to get them in my arms. My cricut is just sitting here waiting for paper doll making with Sammie.

Cindy, I don't have enough superlative words for your layouts this month. Wow, girl, you are really doing some fabulous work. Every page is so sweet and tender. Works of art!!

Pam, so glad to see you stopping by. You describe yourself as a scrapaholic, so we want to see some of your pages!!!! How is Jacob enjoying his Freshman year?

Val, come by and let us know about all the goings-on at your house. So glad to see you stopping by. Let us know how Sandy affected you and your family. Sorry about the tooth. I need to go get some work done and can't make myself do it! You are so kind to still be helping your friend with her scrapping. And volunteering at school, too? No wonder you have no time. I'm sure you are greatly appreciated.

Sarah, I'm sorry that Scouts has not been a good experience for your family. That's my biggest gripe about BSA, it's a great program if you have a great leader. If you don't have animated, excited leaders, it can just fall flat. Last year we went out for a free dinner with our military i.d. for Veteran's Day. We will miss out this year because DH isn't up to going out. So it's homemade potato soup for us tonight instead.

I can't remember what else I was going to comment on, but I'll be back later to post the pages I finished last week. Hugs to all.

Hiya everybody! I've been m.i.a again haven't I? Hiya pokey newbies!
I feel like all I want to do when baby goes to bed is sleep too but she has just got her third and fourth teeth this month so she's been not sleeping well. I've uploaded a couple of pics.
How's your grandchild Nylene? Hugs to your husband. And I hope caring for him isn't too tiring.
Love the frolic layout, Cindy!!! And all your others. So beautiful.
How's the drawing going Kelly?
I can't believe we're nearly half way through November. Where did all that time go? I've got just enough energy to watch a Glitter Girl Shimelle video before bed.

Good moring Peas! Hope everyone is dfoing well. I spent sometime working on my holiday cards last night. My mojo has been dwindling the last few days but I found a spark somewhere and made a couple last night. Want to try a couple more later-maybe tonight and decide which ones I want to use for the holidasy season.
Where is everyone????? I know Nylene is taking care of Steve but where is everyone else?????? I miss all of you and want to hear what you are up to for the big holiday next week! I am cooking and will be sharing dinner with family members.

Jessie-it wss nice to hear from you! Sorry the baby is keeping you up-those darn teeth hurt coming in!

Angie those pics of the kiddos are adorable! You did a great job on those costumes!!!!

Nylene-hope Steve is coming along. I see my regular doc this morning but do not see the surgeon for a few more weeks. I am doing better every day and I am really feeling more like my old self every day. I still have a few things I have not eaten-like raw fruits and veggies-had a little lettuce, tried salad but it was an effort. Also slowly trying more fibrous meats. Still no gassy foods, or carbonated beverages. I will get there!!! LOL

Ok enough about me-Let's hear it for the Pokey Peas! BBL!

Hi gals

Cindy, I am so thankful that you are continuing to improve daily

Nylene, I hope that DH is feeling more comfortable now, and is well on the road to recovery.

Jessie, teething is hard work It seems like you just get a routine going, and BAM! in come the teeth and muck it all up again

Angie, your costumes look fabulous!

Mark has been "up north" this week in Maryland, so of course this is the week that I feel yucky... I have been fighting off a cold for a couple of weeks, but it decided to turn it up a notch this week. Great, seeing as I am supposed to be doing a 5K tomorrow... I shall dose myself up and get through it, and then sleep for the rest of the day
DS and I had our first Thanksgiving meal at his school yesterday Really looking forward to this holiday. The kids have the whole week off school, and we have been invited to go and spend Thanksgiving with friends. Although, we are in big demand, as it seems everyone wants to help us celebrate our first Thanksgiving, and have had several invites over the past few weeks... I am thankful that we have such kind and caring friends that have helped us so much over the past 5 and a half months and wish we could be in 4 places at once
I am thinking of making some British holiday treats for our American friends on the run up to Christmas - mince pies, traditional Christmas cakes and some Choc chip shortbread. I'll probably throw in some other cookies too. Just to thank them for their warm welcome

Hi Angie - LOVE those Halloween photos. They are so adorable!!! Did you make them? That is amazing!

Nylene - hope your husband is feeling better. I know what you mean about taking it easy - it's hard to do if it's against your nature. Hopefully, he'll be able to make some adjustments so he can improve his health.

Cindy - wow, you are on a roll! I can't wait to see your holiday cards. I need to start working on mine. I like to do photo cards - easier for me.

Sarah - hope you feel better soon. How was your 5k? I have one on the 30th. It's the Electric Run. I'm excited - it's at night with lights and music. Should be fun. I like 5k's with a gimmick. I'm not really a runner so I need added incentives. lol Btw, if you're going to be bringing British treats anywhere near Southern California, my dh and I wouldn't mind a treat or two. He actually lived in England for a few years (back in 84-87 in Newmarket).

Padni - congratulations on your 2peas win! I loved both your layout and your card.

Jessie - I know what you mean! I can't believe it's already halfway through November. I don't know where the whole year went! I haven't been very scrappy lately - just a card here and there. Hopefully, we'll get our craftiness on soon!

Here's a card I made for a baby shower today:
congrats

Will talk to you all soon!

I didn't realize I haven't visited yet this month! How time flies. I have been keeping busy with work. We have a couple of nurses training and hopefully by January, we will be back to normal staff!

I had a great time with the Branson retreat. I got about 7 LO's done which is good for me! I just need to get a good system for taking pictures and posting.

I was falling asleep watching TV and got myself woke up getting ready for bed. I thought I would stop in and say HI!! I hope everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope to be back soon!

Hello everyone!

Thought I would pop in and say hi. I finally have a day off. Think I might try to scrapbook.

Dh and I aren't sure what we're doing for Thanksgiving tomorrow. No family nearby and our plans with friends fell threw last minute. Trying to find somewhere to volunteer tomorrow but looks like most of them are full, which I suppose is good news. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving plans are going smoothly.

Hope to chat with you all soon!

Hi all.

Anne, sorry that your plans fell through for Thanksgiving. I hope you find another way to celebrate, even if it is just you and DH

Jana, glad you had a good time at the retreat. Those SG gals certainly know how to organise great classes and retreats

Nylene, I hope that DH is feeling much better now. Are you hosting or visiting for Thanksgiving?

I hope all the rest of the US pokeys have a great Thanksgiving

I just have a salad to make to take with for Thanksgiving, and a potted mum to pretty up with some hessian and ribbon for the hostess. We have been pretty much low key this week - letting the kids recharge on their break from school. I had to take the car to the garage on Monday to get a sensor changed, and was back there Tuesday as they had missed attaching something and the light still came on Friday I think we are heading to the Museum of Science and History in Jacksonville, as we'd rather poke our eyes out with hot needles than go Black Friday shopping....

Happy Thanksgiving all! I hope your day was as you dreamed it would be. My dh and I had a quiet day. We ordered Mimi's Cafe TG dinner with all the fixings. Gonna be trying it out soon. Still a little early here. Lots of football games and laying around. Awwww! Life still has been tough but I am hoping Decemeber is a better month. So taking it slow right now. Still been drawing. Not sure if I will get any Christmas cards done but it is still early. Just lost my mojo but hopeful it will come back.

Sending hugs to all of you and hope you enjoyed your day!

Anne- Hey, I hope you and your dh had fun. Did you cook anything or eat out? It felt so good this year to let someone else do the cooking. Maybe next year, I will be in the kitchen cookin' it up!

Nylene- Oh, I hope your hubby is feeling better. Also, thanks for thinking about me. I am hanging in and my dh has been an extra sweetheart supporting through this emotional rollercoaster.

Cindy- Glad to see you are holding the fort down. I hope to back regularly soon. Are you enjoying all this holiday football?

Angie- Happy Happy Belated B- Day! Hope you had a fun one!

Hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving!

Hey Kelly! Good to see you on the board! Dh and I decided to cook a full Thanksgiving dinner, even if it was only for the two of us. It was nice - no pressure of trying to get the meal on the table at a certain time. Plus now we have leftovers!

Plus being just us, I was able to do a layout yesterday and order my holiday cards. Yay!

Happy Belated Birthday Angie! I hope you had a good day.

I had a disappointing Thanksgiving. I worked on Thanksgiving which I was alright with since we were going to get together on Saturday. Late Friday night I get told that they decided to go to a buffet. I was looking forward to a real Thanksgiving meal.

The census at work didn't go down like it normally does. I like having a break from the normal busyness. I hope this week it slows down a little.

I played on my Cameo a little last night. I made something for my Dad for his birthday.

Popcorn Box

I hope everyone has a great day!

Hi Everyone,
We had a great time with both of our families last week. Now we're suffering withdrawal. Samantha misses Grandma (Nylene) who made paper dolls and crafts with her nearly every waking moment. Drew misses Grandpa, his cousins that played with him constantly and his pacifier that I was too lazy to take away during the day. And I'm remembering what it's like to run errands WITH kids. We were all so spoiled! But it's good to be home again.

Sarah, I share your sentiment for Black Friday. In general, I hate shopping anytime from Black Friday to Christmas. Unfortunately, I didn't meet my goal of having the Christmas shopping done before our trip to Utah.

Jana, Kelly, Anne- Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. I secretly love belated wishes because then you feel loved for more than just one day.

Jana, I'm sorry you had to work on Thanksgiving. I hope things will slow down and you can have some time to yourself soon.

If I can get through this big stack of missed mail, maybe I'll get to scrap. Fingers crossed.

Hi Girls! Glad to see you all again and hope your Thanksgiving's were full of love and family!

Jana-sorry to hear about your Thanksgiving being so rough. I know it takes a time to train new nurses but couldn't they have pulled from floors where the census was down? I hope they get them trained soon to make life a little easier for you-esoecially during holiday time! Love you Dad's gift-I love popcorn. Have not had any for a while though.

Sara- I am with you and Angie -never shop on black Friday. I usually shop during the week in the mornings during this time of year when everyone is at work!

Angie-sounds like you the children and Nylene and Steve had a great holiday! Hope your Dad is doing better. I have not heard from your mom. They are both in my prayers however! Sammie had a great time and kept grandma busy-good for her!

Kelly-I hope you are doing better and that this all ends for you soon. I hope you get some mojo back and can get your cards made. Your shop can not thrivwe without them.

Hey ladies! How is everyone. It seems like I have been away for months. But so glad to see some new peas and famalliar faces. Since my card mojo has continued, I am trying some ne arts. I had a jewelry making kit for a while and pulled it out to try. That was fun and will try again tomorrow. Plus, I am still drawing. I am playing around with drawing full bodied people and landscapes along with more of my faces. So that is it for me. Been trying some baking too. I made a strawberry cake and it was so good. So this week, I want to try another kind. Yummy!

Annie- You did have a nice TG after all. What all did you cook? Our Mimi's dinner was so good and just perfect for us.

Angie- It must of been so nice to go back home. If I was one of sweet Nylene's grandkids, I won't want to leave either. She is an awesome grandmother.

Cindy- I am trying some new arts while I give my card passion a rest. I made a braclet today and want to learn how to crochet. Thanks to for wishing me well.

Hi, sweet Pokey Peas! This month I am the missing Pea. Sorry to have been away so long.

We had such a wonderful time with Angie and her family here for Thanksgiving. Of course that meant that the rest of the family dropped by often and my house was brimming with grandchildren. That's my favorite!!!
I had to laugh at Sammie who called my Scraproom the Paper Doll room. She'd come tell me she wanted to make something and she'd meet me in the Paper Doll room. By the time I finished what I was doing and went in there, she'd have made a decision about what to make. Wish she lived close enough to do this every week!

DH is doing somewhat better. He just hasn't bounced back from surgery this time like he has after other procedures. I'm trying to get him to see an internist. His family practice Dr. is pretty jerky! He's still pretty sore, but was able to enjoy Thanksgiving with the family.

Jessie, do you have Thanksgiving, or something similar? How's the teething coming? I remember those fussy days. Hope she's doing well.

Jana, sorry your Thanksgiving wasn't what you planned. I'm glad you had fun at the Branson retreat. Where are the layouts you did????

Cindy, thanks for the email. I'm glad you are slowing improving. That's a pretty big procedure you had. I'm sure that you are glad you had it done, but look forward to new foods....like popcorn, soda, etc. How is Kellie doing? I hope she's still scrapping some. Thanks for keeping this thread alive. Will me make it to 2 pages? I took my badges out of my signature when people were complaining about LONG signatures...but that makes the posts shorter!

Anne, I'm glad you cooked a whole meal for you and DH. I usually do that for Christmas. The kids and grands usually drop by, but I don't plan on anyone but the 2 of us. I have pies and snacks, but they all usually have dinner plans elsewhere and it's just the 2 of us.

Kelly, it's so fun to hear what you are trying out next. I like to crochet (though I'm not very good) but I'm sure you will enjoy it. I'll have to check your blog to see if you've posted more drawings. Hang in there! I want to see your bracelet.

Sarah, I had to laugh at your Black Friday comment. I agree with you. I hate crowds and crowded parking lots. It makes me sad to think other countries must think of US citizens are such rude, materialistic, greedy people when we see fights and trampling on the news over Black Friday. The majority of us are just as appalled at the spectacle!

Emily, nice to see you dropping by. We'd love to see some of your layouts.
Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving.

Angie, how much I miss having you around. It was such a fun time with your family here. Think you could talk Pixar into opening a studio in Salt Lake?? I'd love having you that close. Glad you made it home safely. Sorry we spoiled your kids so much...but that's what grandparents, aunties and cousins are for!

Have a great day, everyone. I will be posting a new December thread Friday night or Sat. morning. Can't believe this year is almost gone.
