Morning came way too early today. I'm tired, my eyes are dry making it hard to focus, and i just want to crawl back into bed but alas I have to get the kids to school. Oh well.

Here's a LO I did yesterday for the digi challenge....day 14 page14 LO 11

Just noticed with 5 more posts (including this one) I will reach 8000 posts here at 2peas...not a record by all means, but for this girl, that's one chatty record.

Ok we all managed to drag off to school, although Owen seems to have misplaced his glasses. He can hunt for them this afternoon as they clean their room. I don't think I could find an elephant if it wandered in there. LOL

Feeling a bit more energetic (tea is amazing) but eyes still very dry. Gotta hunt down some eyedrops. Wish I had some current photos to scrap, but alas I'm all out. Have to go digging and see if I missed any old ones.

Have a great day. Even though the boys didn't take jazz band this year, the concerts for jazz are tonight so might just go and enjoy the music.

just a quick drive by to say Becca did great in EEG- fell asleep for 50 minutes. The tech was an hour late due to traffic- hard when you've been up since 3:00 am

Bobby is asking for prayers for basketball tryouts. Last week he was thinking he might even get asked to go on varsity, and yesterday the coach hinted that he might not even make the JV roster, but be placed on the regional team. So his spirits and confidence are shaken. Today is final tryout and placement, so a quick prayer of encouragement, strength and determination are appreciated for him.

I'm finishing my coffee and then on my way to the airport to get my mom! She'll be here through Thanksgiving weekend. Hooray.

Still no word on any of the consulting gigs for Gary or any of the jobs he's applied for, so your continued prayers are appreciated.

I'm almost done with the digi albums- found a few errors when I uploaded them to print, so getting those fixed and then i'll share a bit.

Hey ladies.....remember me? Tina suggested I stop in for a minute, so here I am!

Hope everyone's doing well - keeping up with some of you on Facebook. Things are going well up here in the Great White North. Still working on trying to get divorced - things have been slow, trying to work through custody stuff. My kids are doing well though - getting so grown up! Katie just turned 14, John is 12 and little Nathan is 11. They're busy doing all sorts of stuff, and it keeps me running.

Big news over here is that I got a new job. Actually, today was my last day at the school. As of Monday, I am the Executive Director of the new pregnancy care centre here in Lethbridge. It's a brand new centre - we don't even have a building yet. It's going to be an amazing ministry - spreading the gospel through caring for women in a crisis pregnancy. I'm super excited - it's a huge job, and I can't wait. On top of that, I'm registered in university starting in February, taking my Bachelor of Management.

So yeah, that's the update on my world. As you can imagine, no scrappy time for me....but that's alright. Some day my kids are going to be grown up, and it's going to be just me here, and then I'll have time.

Hope you're all good - love to you all!

Evening all!

Monica, good to see you here. Of course I keep track of you on FB. Congrats on the new job. I have a friend here that is in charge of a program like that (well she actually brought the program here) and it is a marvelous place for young moms.

Tina, you'll have to send us a link to the news clip.

Tammy, glad to hear the EEG went well. Said a prayer for the ball practice today (saw the post on F. Hope he did well. Also sure hope Gary can find a job soon. BTW, Emma's Mom said to be sure and thank you for donating to the CureSearch.

Happy birthday Lori.

Did upload the wall hanging I made at the crop Saturday. This is a baby shower present for a young couple at church. It's made out of canvas and is actually pretty cool looking. A friend took a photo and is going to make one similar for her Grandkids.

Wall Hanging

I told Randy to remind me to finish Debbie's wreath tonight and here I sit in front of the computer, have to get with it!

Happy Birthday, Lori! I hope you have a fantastic day

Monica M. - So good to see you. Congrats on the new job; sounds like a great place for you to be working. Good luck with school, too. And, yes, some day the kids will be older and you'll have a lot of time, or more time anyway, to scrap those memories.

Tammy - Glad the testing went well; hope the results give you some promising news. Good luck to Bobby; saying some prayers that his prayers will be answered. And, of course, many, many prayers for Gary.
I saw some of Greys last night, but I fell asleep. I do remember the vomitting though.

Nylene - Hope Steve is doing better. It's hard for a good, hardworking man to stay still.

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!
The days are going by so fast right now, some days I forget what day it is

MONICA M so happy you dropped by. Your kids are growing up so fast; I didn't remember them being so old already. My oh my. Yep Divorce is a slow process especially when you have kids. Sorry it's dragging out. Sounds like you've stayed positive and productive though...a new job? Good for you! Hope you can come by more often even if you don't scrap. Miss seeing you.

Yep, time is flying by. Seems faster every year...that's got to be the proportion of time unit in comparison to over all time spent...the days get smaller in proportion. At least it sure feels like it especially when it gets dark at 4:30 p.m.

Kids decided to support their friend who plays in Senior Jazz so we went to the concert last night. wow, the vocal jazz group is amazing and only in their 2nd year. Our school is so blessed when it comes to music opportunities...more than 600 kids take music of some kind. We have 4 string orchestras, 4 concert bands, 3 jazz bands, vocal jazz group and a choir. Lots of music to be had.

Today is FILE THE PAPERWORK day.

Have a good one.

Thank you ladies for the Happy Birthdays.

Kevin and I are in the city for a couple nights. He has a conference and I got to come with him. The boys are at my Mom and Dads so it is a nice quiet weekend for me. I brought some scrapping supplies and the Bamboo I got 3 years ago for Christmas. Hopefully I can figure it out and maybe do a couple Digi LOs for Debi's Challenge.

Just did a quick scan tonight because it is late but will look closer tomorrow.

I hope everyone had a great weekend

LORI I hope you can figure out the Bamboo (is that a tablet?). However YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO YOUR PAGES DIGITALLY TQ PARTICIPATE IN MY DIGI CHALLENGE. Paper scrapping is perfectly acceptable. It's about scrapping not about how we scrap. Just a public service announcement. LOL

Here's one from me (but not for any challenge)
Our first christmas as a familly

I started a digi challenge one for today...created the template but haven't gotten any further so will have to finish that one later.

What are you doing for the weekend?

Morning all! Came in yesterday with a horrid headache. Had to go help set up chairs at church but then just came home and crashed on the couch. Tried to read 2P's but even with the color changes just couldn't do it. HATE that they won't listen to their regulars.

Debi, The Bamboo is a tablet kind of thing that you hook up to the computer and you can transfer your writing or drawing into the computer. I got one for Christmas from Jeremy the year it came out because I "just had to have it" and I still haven't figured out how to use it.

Here's a link to their site: Bamboo

Of course, last year I bought the Cricut Cake because I found a great deal on it--still in the box!

Cleaning the house today--it's a mess! Randy did laundry yesterday (whoo hoo). Jeremy and Kate are coming in for Thanksgiving but they just get to be here Wednesday night til Thursday night and the majority of that we'll be at Joyce's so won't have to do too much cleaning, LOL!

THERESA sorry about the headache. Hope you feel better now.

I don't have any fancy equipment like tablets to scrap with, just me, my laptop and an older version of Photoshop Elements (v7). Version 11 is out this year but I'm happy with my current one...seems to do what I need. Of course I suppose if I tried the newer version and saw all the new things it could do I might want it, but no sense in tempting me with buying more scrapping stuff. I keep my spending budget pretty low...probably less than $20/year. Now of course that wouldn't include printing but I haven't printed much yet.

Here's my yesterday's DigiChallenge Gallery scraplift.

Amazingly Adorable

Off to my mom's to take her grocery shopping and seeing if I can find some inexpensive jeans for my growing-like-a-weed boys.

Anyone doing Black Friday shopping this year? Anything worth waiting in long lines for?

Have a great day!

Dr Creager, maybe you should go back to and get your Nurse Practioner, lol. You are a dream employee always going above and beyond.

Tina, sounds like you are going to have a very busy day full of questions tomorrow. Good luck with your Press release.

Debi, I am glad you did make it to the Jazz concert! I think it is great that you are still supporting the band even if your boys are involved this year. I am sure the other members really appreciate see you there.
I know I don't HAVE to do the digi challenge as a digi LO but, hey, if I am playing with digi, I might as well give it a go

Tammy, I am gladd Becca did well during the EEG, she is such a brave girl!! How did Bobby do with the basket ball tryouts?

Monica, it is great to see you popping in. hopefully you can sneak a few minutes again soon to come say hi.Good luck on Monday, the first day at the new job can be both exciting and a litte un-nerving while getting into a new routine.

Happy Birthday Sarah!!

Well, I did get a paper LO dont this morning. Will post it next week when I am home and have my carmera. I got the stuff out to do another but don't know if it will happen or not. I keep finding myself staring out the big window into the sun filled outdoors. We have such small and low windows at home. Being here is making me miss the old house today, lol.

Kevin is done his conference at 5 today so we are going to go our to dinner and maybe a movie. There is entertainment tonight, a Jazz singer named Melissa Lauren. So we aren't sure yet what we will do.

Ok, I am off to praise all my open windows. After that I may grab a nap

Hey ladies!

I hope you are all having a nice weekend! I think life here is just going to be busy for a while. I've been doing my real job and a few odds and ends for the new job, so I'm pretty booked. Ron and I went to the church this morning and made brunch for the youth retreat. I kind of like entertaining, so it was fun...can't believe how much those teenaged boys eat.

I have the meeting scheduled with all of my managers on Monday to talk with them about me leaving. That part makes me really sad, I'll be glad to have that part over, I don't like this stuff with having to go around breaking up with people.

Anywho, I got a few projects done this week, I just need to boot my sweet son off the computer so that I can get them posted.

Is anyone doing anything fun for Thanksgiving? We are going to my parent's place, I'm going to help her with more of the cooking thank usual since she hasn't been feeling well. We also pick Olivia up on Tuesday evening, so that will be nice.

Hope you all are having a happy Saturday!

Tina

Taking a much needed break. Got the groceries in and put away, the floors mopped/vacuumed, furniture polished and clutter put away (well as much as can be in a way too small house for pack rats). Only thing on my list that didn't get done was getting Debbie's wreath mailed out. The post office closed 10 minutes before I got there. Thought it was open til 12. Went to the place that does UPS, closed as well. Randy offered to send it UPS on Monday so guess that's what I'll do. As high as it is to ship at the post office, UPS shouldn't be any different and they'll get it there faster.

LORI that's the spirit...to rise to the challenge. How's the digi LO thing going? I'd be hard pressed to stay in and scrap if the sun was shining in my hotel window too...after all vacation is for exploring and doing stuff you don't do at home. Besides you could always use it as an excuse to get more photos to scrap...hee hee

THERESA you made me tired with all you did today...take a nap for me. I hear you on the groceries. Seems like a full body work out when you take the stuff from the grocery shelves, put it in the basket, take it from the basket, put it on the counter to be checked out, rebag it from the counter and put it back in the basket, then out of the basket and into the car, then out of the car and into the house, and then out of the bags into the cupboards...geesh I'm exhausted. I bought 2 big shopping carts full of groceries today (over $300 worth) including 2-20 lb turkeys for mom. Thank goodness the boys helped me bring it in from the car. That's a lot of groceries all at once, but I needed to stock up on some basics that we've depleted over the last few months.

Mom and I went to the casino ( I know we sound like addicts) for 3 hours after the grocery shopping (that took a couple hours itself) and ended up only $10 shy of what we came in with so a fun filled day out.

Managed to find gas for $3.39/gal today which is really low for us. Nice to be able to fill up the car for less than $50 once in awhile. Got it for $2.89/gal last time because I had credit on my Safeway card taking $.60/per gal off. Always appreciate it when gas is less, especially since it takes nearly a 1/4 tank to go to my mom's and back.

No scrapping yet, but now that the boys went off to a friend's for the night, I'm home alone so maybe I'll scrap, or do japanese, or watch my soap opera I missed Friday, or maybe all three....I do know I'm not doing anymore housework today. The dinner dishes are going to wait until morning.

Catch you on Sunday.

Ok LINDA it's 3:30 a.m....where are you? You used to be up at this hour but tonight it seems it's only me.

I did scrap, after watching my soap opera from Friday, having a snack...I however did not listen to Japanese...already did that for 2 hours traveling to/from my mom's so figured it was enough.

Here's my scraplift for day 17

Hey gals, popping in to load one of the vacation albums. The others are very similar with some pictures swapped out.

My aunts are in town visiting, but leaving today. We made a day of fabric store shopping for them yesterday so that was a lot of fun and entertaining.

Thanks for the prayers- Bobby made JV by the hair of his chin.

I will be back later to catch up on praise and chatter.

TAMMY congrats to Bobby for making JV. It's tough in these sports you have to try out for. I like Ultimate Frisbee for their no-cut policy, but that all changes in HS.

Wasting my day. Kids still at their friends. I've been sitting on the computer all day. And yet, I've done NO scrapping. What's up with that?

Sorry to just do another "run-by" but things are crazy here. DH is not doing very well. He felt much better right after surgery than he does now. He will call Dr. about very low BP tomorrow. DD and family are here from CA and it's wonderful to have them. Wish he could enjoy the children more.

Wishing Jennifer (Jchilds) a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TOMORROW, NOVEMBER 19TH. We hope you have a nice day. Drop in when you get a few minutes. We miss you.

Tammy glad to hear Bobby made it, I was afraid he didn't since you hadn't said anything.

Nylene, have Steve drink some Gatoraide or tomato juice, his electrolytes might be low. If he's taking pain med that could be it too.

Lori, I'm way too old to go back to school now. My brain cells are gone!

Debi, I HATE getting groceries. Totally ridiculous to have to spend that much money to only get a small amount.

Have had a busy day today. Austin was baptized this morning so we went to his church. Then went to the Christmas parade where he and Jackson both were marching with the Boy Scouts. Randy and I then drove to Owensboro and went to the movies with my friend Paula to see the new James Bond movie, Skyfall. Very different James Bond movie, this one focuses on the characters, no nudity, no sex scenes (implied but not shown), very little foul language, tons of killing of course, but overall a great show.

Nylene, sorry your dh is having such a hard time recovering when he seemed to go through surgery well. Hope he turns the corner soon. It must be frustrating for him to feel so lousy and not much you can do to help. Healing prayers sent your way.

Hope everyone is scrapping since no one is chatting. LOL

Hey girls -

Nylene - prayers, hon. Hope they find something for Steve to help him recover more quickly and easier.

Tammy - Yeah for Bobby! No matter how the hair on the chin got him there, it's a good thing

Tina - good luck saying good-bye; I couldn't even imagine how hard that is going to be. I imagine you're really, really busy between the two jobs and the holidays. Hugs, girl.

Monica B - did you go see BD II yet? Just wondering. Megs is going to go with me at some point, when we both have the time off together, LOL.

Happy Birthday, Jennifer! Hope it's a great one.

Well, girls, gotta run. I'll stop by soon. It's been plain crazy at J's, and my kids at school are a never ending needy bunch, LOL.

Love you all.

Good morning Ladies!

Happy Birthday Jennifer!! Have a great day!

Theresa, you are too funny. You are NOT too old to go back to school, lol. You just do so much for your employers and paitents that goes above and beyond. I hope you employer realizes that, and acknowledges and thanks for everything you do!!

Tammy, Congrats to Bobby, he must be so happy.

Tina, I am thinking of you today. You will probably be too exhausted to come on and check in tonight, but know we are thinking good thoughts for you today.

Debi, I never did get that darned Bamboo out of it's box. If we had been downtown, I would have walked around and explored. However where we were was all hotels, every window you looked at was MORE hotels, lol. And they were doing some major construction on the roads, not the most friendly, safe feeling out there. But I DID enjoy the quiet and got caught up on some computer stuff. I even FINALLY figured out skype, lol. I have been trying to get that hooked up for about a year now and was having NO luck. My first video chat was with my Dad and my boys. Was perfect.

Today Kevin and I are going through all the Christmas gifts we have been hiding downstairs throughout the year to see where we stand and then I am starting the decorating!!!! I am quite excited about that, lol.

Have a wonderful day everyone.

Nice to see everyone. I've been a bit preoccupied today. Owen had to go to the dentist in prep of getting 2 teeth (permanent premolars) removed in prep of braces. it went well but still packing the gums 7 hours later. It WILL stop bleeding right? He's doing ok.

I also helped at the middle school doing hearing screening tests today to finish up the 7th grade class.

And it's been raining buckets today. My basement is flooding so spent a bit of time down there moving stuff around to try to avoid it all getting wet but probably should go down and spend a bit more time if the rain doesn't stop.

Doing laundry, and thinking about doing dinner, but haven't motivated myself yet. Might just do Pho soup tonight.

Hope everyone is well.

Hi ladies! Thanks so much for thinking of me today! This was such a crazy day. I told all of my managers that I'm leaving my company, so that was emotional, many of them are friends after working together for so long. I also got tons of emails from all over Indiana congratulating me on my new job. It was kind of overwhelming, even though it was good stuff. Here is the press release about my new job:

Tina's Press Release

Debi - I hope Owen stops bleeding and feels better soon. I remember when I had my teeth removed to get my braces...it wasn't pleasant, but it will stop bleeding.

I hate that your basement is flooding, that is no fun either. Hugs to you.

Tammy - I'm really glad that Bobby made the team. That is really good news.

I hope you are all having a nice evening!

Tina

Awesome press release Tina, congrats! Sorry today was so rough, hate to say it but it'll probably get more emotional as the time comes to leave. But, you've prayed about it (we all have for you too) and it's what God wants you to do so you'll be okay.

Debi, yep, the bleeding will stop. Wet a teabag and place it over the tooth that's bleeding, for some reason it helps.

Planned on cleaning the utility room when I got home, crashed on the couch instead. Ended up on the phone most of the night. Friend lost her recipe for the Southern Pecan Praline cake and I like to never found it, my sister called, another friend called and then I also talked to Aunt Joyce. Uncle Charlie had a stress test Friday and it must have had bad results because the cardiologist called them today and they have to drive back to Owensboro tomorrow to discuss it. We have 47 patients tomorrow (Doc is back and we're paying for him being off last week and closing Thursday/Friday). Going to try to sneak out at 10:30 and go to the cardiology appointment, we'll see.

Headed to bed now. Have stopped taking that pill to make my blood pressure stay up because my liver enzymes were elevated and my bp was low today so I'm pooped. Because I stopped taking it I picked up a bottle of wine (old fashioned cure for improving the blood that tastes much better). Not much of a drinker and it's made me sleepy. Might be another good benefit.

Have a great night all.

So THERESA I didn't understand, does wine raise or lower blood pressure? As for sleepy, it does that to me too and wine usually gives me a headache, even just one glass. So dont' often drink it although I like it occassionally. Guess I'm not much of a drinker.

I'm starting to panic about Christmas shopping as I have no idea what to get the boys and I usually shop black Friday but no idea if there is anything worth getting...oy I feel so far behind already.

How is everyone else doing preparing for the holidays?

Good morning!

Oy, I feel as if I've been away for weeks! I've just had such a busy time that I've scarcely switched on my computer. The highlight of the last few days- I saw BD II on Thursday night!!! Awesome! Toni & Monica B, I hope you get to see it soon. The twist at the end is great. I was a bit nervous when they said they had changed the ending, but it really works. The whole cinema was yelling, clapping and commenting. It is so much fun to watch it with a lot of other Twi-fans!

Sean is knee-deep in his exams and, because he is so un-motivated, I am spending a huge amount of time going through it all with him. Where is my son of last term who didn't want me to help him? (and still did well). Right now I almost have to tie him to his chair or he wouldn't do anything. Not difficult stuff for me but time-consuming.

Happy belated birthday to Lori and Jennifer! Hope your days were wonderful.

Tina - can't be easy saying goodbye. I love the way you say you are 'breaking up' with them. So sweet. Feels that way when leaving a job, doesn't it?

Monica M - great to see you again! I'm so glad that life is settling after the trauma of the last year. Your kids look happy and the new job sounds great.

Diana - all seven kids home for Christmas? That sounds like a recipe for lots of fun. I can imagine it happens less and less often as they get older. We are only 3 sibs and it's rare for us! With your party-organising skills it is sure to be a Christmas to remember.

Lori - you've done present shopping already? I haven't even thought about it. Luckily the boys have a list already, so 'Father Christmas' won't have to think too hard. DH is another matter...

Debi - good luck with the flooded basement. It looks like rain here today too- 20% chance- and I'm enjoying the slightly cooler weather (77F) Summer has hit with a vengence. The cold weather there sounds depressing. Mind you, anything below 60F is cold to me You are scrapping up a storm for someone who has no photos... I'm STILL busy with that LO for your challenge (see, I told you).

I have done these pages, though:
Sweet dreams Not for a challenge, but I had a lot of fun with all the little details.

Alone Time This was for a challenge last month, but can't remember which one, lol.

Now I need a shower and off to the post office. There are 2 registered parcels waiting. Nothing exciting - work stuff.

Hello ladies! Sorry I've been MIA lately. Just been lots going on - I don't even know what all! My Etsy shop is definitely keeping me busy, and have lots of projects going on for Christmas. Also been pretty social lately, LOL.

My great news from the weekend - my grandparents are paying for my oral surgery! I am so relieved. Can't wait for it to get done, too. I can just feel one of my wisdom teeth pushing & crunching all the others. Ouch!

I'm on the iPhone app, so let me see what I can remember...

Tammy- yay for Bobby making the team! I knew he would Let us know how Becca's MRI results turn out.

Tina- That's pretty cool you had a press release & everything, but I can imagine how overwhelming it would be. Hang in there!

Toni- YES! I did see Breaking Dawn this weekend. I thought it was really good it didn't hit me until the end, though, that this is the last one so sad!

Debi- Poor Owen! Ugh, I'm gonna be dealing with that soon... But the oral surgeon said the bleeding should be stopped by the time I leave the office.

Lori- How exciting to be putting up Christmas decorations! I admit to listening to Christmas music today In my defense, I was burning a Christmas cd for a secret Santa.

Theresa- Too funny about the wine! Hey, double benefit if it puts you to sleep

Nylene- Hope Steve feels better soon!

~~Happy birthday, Jennifer!!~~

Morning my lovelies!

Debi, 5 ounces of red wine a day has been repeatedly proven to be good for the heart because it improves blood flow and decreases plaque buildup which helps prevent and treat heart disease. It also decreases colon cancer and cataract risk by almost 45% and decreases insulin resistance which could help prevent diabetes. Drinking more than that every day can cause problems because the high calorie count increases body fat which can cause diabetes and it can destroy the liver not to mention cause high blood pressure which will lead to heart disease. A tricky slope. When I was little (like 7 or 8) the family doctor had my parents give me a glass every night before I went to sleep, think that's why I like it now. If I haven't told you the funny story that goes with it remind me and I will.

Michelle, I have no idea what to buy anyone this year. Nothing in the black Friday sales looks remotely worth fighting crowds for and I've seen nothing that anyone would want when I've been out shopping recently. Guess we're all just blessed to have everything we need already.

Monica, hurray for grandparents!!!

Lori, I'm OLD, will be 52 Friday!

Darn, just looked at the clock, have to get with it. Have a great day all!!!

Good morning. I skimmed so forgive me if I've missed anything.

Theresa- interesting that it would be on Grey's- I don't normally watch Grey's- I wonder if I can find it online??

Debi- I thought we'd need an ark yesterday. Sorry for the flooding- our church posted pictures of quite a few leaks in the roof. I have not done good at collecting for Christmas through the year. Each year I say I will but I don't. The kids have a few things on their lists already but nothing is matching on black Friday ads.

Tina- very impressive release! Good luck to you in the new job- you will rock it I'm sure!

Monica B- what a blessing from your grandparents!

Happy Birthday Jennifer! Hope it was great.

Nylene- how is Steve doing?? Praying for him. Glad you cane njoy all the grands together, wish Steve was feeling up to enjoying it.

Diana- glad you will have all your babies together! Josh is coming home too.

OK, I have a gazillion windows open, need to praise while I make lunches.

Good morning. Started out sunny so was hoping the deluge of rain was over but now a couple hours later, it's raining again and is supposed to continue all week. Not exactly encouraging to go out shopping now is it?

MICHELLE I hope Sean finishes his exams. I swear the kids' schoolwork is more stressful for the parents than the kids because they just don't care how they do nor see how it might impact their future opportunities. If I could instill one virtue in my kids, it's to do your best at all times, but seems today's kids run by the "do only what you need to skim by motto." Boys got their first quarter grades and did reasonably well--A's and B's one one C in geometry (but given he's taking a class 2 years advanced and has severe testing anxiety, and the school has switch to competency grading --using only exam scores for grades, I expected we'd struggle in this class.

DIANA 7 kids? wow now that's a family size celebration.

MONICA B so blessed that your grandparents are assisting you with your oral surgery...what exactly do you have to have done? And peamail an idea of what it will ultimately cost please as I have lots of dental needs to take care of and am afraid to even guess what it might cost.

THERESA does it matter if it's red or white wine? And no, I haven't heard the "funny story" behind you parents feeding you wine as a child...

Well I know my kids would like a huge flat-screen tv, but it isn't going to happen. Otherwise I haven't seen anything in the ads either...keep hoping something will jump out at me so I can start/finish Christmas shopping and the boys' birthday presents too which happens 1 month later. But alas so far everything I come up with is rather dull....

THERESA a happy EARLY birthday wish since I won't have internet access (the downfall of visiting Mom) over the long weekend. 52 is still quite young...it all depends on your perspective and hey from where I'm looking from, you're still a baby. As for school, yes it's harder (memorizing) but easier (discipline to study) at this older age. I really enjoyed taking my computer tech course and sometimes it was really over my head. And I seem to be making decent progress in learning Japanese so I don't think you are ever too old to learn; in fact I think challenging your brain, may be a "keep young" tactic. Ok I might be delusional, but that's ok, isn't hurting anyone, is it?

Tammy you can watch Grey's Anatomy at www.abc.go.com/greysanatomy or www.Hulu.com/greysanatomy...both have the last 5 episodes I believe.

Not scrapped yet...but thinking about it, now that it is raining....again. Looking for my liferaft and life preserver...wonder where I put those thigh-high waders....

Uncle Charlie's test shows that the stent he had placed a few years ago is probably failed. His cardiologist wants him to have another arteriogram and replace it if needed or open up another area if it is the problem. Charlie said no, he wants to tries new meds first. I didn't get over there to the appointment so I'm taking their word for what was said. Aunt Joyce said she'll give him a month or two and if he keeps getting tired and being short winded she's going to kick his rear all the way to Owensboro.

Diana, hurray on all the kids coming home!

Debi, thanks for the birthday greetings.

Should work on some cleaning (still didn't do the utility room) but we were really busy today and I'm whooped! Half day tomorrow so I'll do it then. Jeremy and Kate won't be here until late tomorrow night so I'll get it then or not, don't really care, LOL. Will start cooking tomorrow so Thursday will be easier. We eat at Thanksgiving at lunch time instead of dinner (Heaven forbid Charlie has to eat late!) so it makes the morning tough trying to get it all done especially since we have to take the food to Joyce's. Nothing like transporting a turkey!

I always say what I mean, I just may not mean to say it out loud!
