Bio! My name is Theresa. I'm 29 and have an 11 month old daughter. She's sleeping on my husband's chest right now because all of a sudden, she refuses to sleep in her crib anymore. ARGH. I'm here in Sierra Leone as a logistician. It's the most stressful job I've ever had, but also the most fun.
Rachel: So funny! I originally came to West Africa as a Peace Corps Volunteer. And then I fell in love and ended up never leaving. How old is your baby?
Elizabeth: Sweet potato pie is so delicious! Now you've got *me* thinking about Thanksgiving. Yum!
Melissa: Thanks for the warm welcome! |

Happy Sunday ladies!
I have had a busy past week, read the chatter just didn't reply! Yesterday I had my mother-in-law's wedding and then today is my christmas party/dinner for my work!
Hope you all have a good sunday! I should be on chat later tonight if anyone is around!

Theresa: We were afraid my brother would stay in Africa. Where did you serve? My brother was in Agro and his post-mate in Healthcare. He has loved the past two years and I know he is sad to leave.
My baby is 7 weeks old.
I really need to go home to scrap. |

Okay just got done with two layouts. Starting to feel a little tired, but I think I will do a little bit of journaling before I clean up for the night. I am still thinking of ways to make my craft area more accessible so I can get some pages done. Right now it's working, but I'm struggling with my paper and stickers. Ugh. Never ending battle I guess.

Good Morning!
Melissa: lol don't worry I was so tired I went straight to bed. That's awesome about the gift giving to another family in need.
Rachel: lol you are fine. Wanna talk about behind try two years on my youngest and 3 years on my oldest. Trying to fix that problem and soon. I think even Becky herself will tell you she is behind in her albums for her children.
Today it's pretty cold s not sure what me and the girls are doing. A nice cleaning of the rooms is in order so after that maybe do a bit journaling in my daughters album.
Ope everyone has a good morning. |

Good evening, ladies!
Loni: Are you doing NaNoWriMo? And already finished? I'm so impressed! I've done it in previous years, but figured I'd take this year off to play with paper.
Caro: I still have tons of folks I haven't bought for yet. I'm thinking of cheating and buying amazon or itunes gift certificates. So much stress!
Rachel: I was in Benin (right next to Nigeria). I loved it, but nothing was more exciting than my first trip to an American grocery store. Enjoy having your brother home again!
Like Elizabeth and Rachel, I am behind on my daughter's scrapbook! Last night, I jokingly told my husband we couldn't start working on a second kid until I got caught up scrapping our first ... and this morning, surprise surprise, he sat down to sort photos and pick out embellishments with me! Hah! |

Welcome Theresa!
Yes, I'm doing NaNoWriMo for the first time this year. I think I'll finish next Monday, I'm at 30,714 right now. How many years have you done it? I'm Loni, btw, and I am 29 married with children.
Monica, mean people do suck! Don't be sad!
Rachel, that is so cool! I was actually going to ask about your bro the other day, I thought his 2 years was about up.
Lisa, How was the wedding?
Caro, that is so depressing you didn't see the sun! You sound so busy!
Melissa, That sounds fun that you are "adopting" a family. My dad used to send us to houses we didn't know who they were - but he did, to anonymously drop things off. It was fun, and even better when I got to help pick out the gifts.

Theresa: you sound like me. I want to get caught up on my first two kiddos albums before I add another. Honestly I would be happy if I could get caught up on my youngest (2). My oldest already has 2.5 years completed. I was just thinking today I would put together the base of my future 3rd child's album using Becky Higgins Sweet baby kit. I plan on buying her new baby project life to add to the jammed pack kit. Have fun working on the album and it's great your hubby is on board.
Btw I'm 27 with 2 girls and married for 6 years. Hope you are able to play along in the challenges. I haven't done any in a few weeks because I am making Christmas gifts, but plan to this weekend maybe. It's a great way to get some creative juices flowing.
Today I did school work with the kiddos, cleaned my living room, and got my files ready for next year. I still need to go through 2012 file folders and sort through, but I'll save it for later.
It's been a pretty low day for me, but hoping to cheer up by the end of the week if possible. I'll explain more Friday hopefully.
Well I think I am going to start another knitting project for a Christmas gift. My brothers girlfriend and my sisters. Not sure what, but pretty sure I will have something picked out by tonight.

Okay so I just got done putting together the Becky Higgins baby kit I had. Didn't glue anything down or commit to anything, but I got all the pages in the page protectors it came with (a lot) and got all the other items together. I just need a D-ring album because the post bound album I picked up for $3 (K&co baby one) is not going to hold all the pages. Loving how it turned out and my goal is use everything that came in the kit 100% gone. Hopefully even all the letters. The only thing I can't use in the album is the boy stuff, but I plan to hold onto it to use at a later date or on a different project. I am so excited to see how simple it was to put together and seeing how easy it will be to just add photos and journaling in the end.
Okay other than that not really doing much else. Might watch a few YouTube videos while I mess with the file cabinet. |

Yeah Happy Happy Birthday Monica! Hope you have a wonderful day.
Rachel: you better get that sleep when you can. Glad you are catching up on the album.
Well I guess it's a new day and I must get ready for it. Wish I could've stayed in bed longer, but that's not possible. I put all the BH pages in a album I have for oldest for the moment and man is it packed. I will take a picture later and post. It's not even complete with embellishments and pictures and there is no more room. Guess I won't be using my WR album for that. Joann's has a huge D-Ring album I use to house ALL my page protectors. Might end up taking them out and storing somewhere else.
Well Hope everyone has a good day. |

@Monica: Happy Birthday!! Thanks for putting together the RAK list; it's Great! Also, I'm sorry to hear of your troubles on the boards. Some scrappers can be so ruthless when it comes to getting a deal, usually at the expense of the scrapper.
@Theresa: Welcome!! I consider myself new to the YS boards. It's hard for me to keep up with all the chatter with my daily goings-on. It's lovely to meet you! I am Gabrielle, 26, married with children ages 3 years and 4 months. I live in Denton, TX which is north of Dallas. I work full time at the university and am in grad school part time working on a MS Educational Psychology - Family Studies concentration. I've been scrapping for 3 years.
@Elizabeth: For having 'no space' to scrap, that is one organized corner!! Great use of the shelving and stuff. If you were planning to make a trip to North Texas, I would be happy to give you a couple of things to help you remain organized. I have 1 set of 6 display dynamics trays with lips. I purchased them used online, but they are still in working condition. Also, I have a paper cart that you could organize you paper in. I used it when I first started scrapping. It was a gift to me from my Aunt who'd used it for many years before having a scrap room. It has wheels so it's mobile. I used to organize my papers by manu in them, cardstock and stickers before I had too many to keep track of.
@Loni: I never caught what you are writing a book about. That is wicked cool if you ask me. So you are almost complete... well done!! I'm attempting to read this quirky book I picked up at B&N called 'When Did I Get Like This' - I think that a lot of moms can relate to this book. I'm only through the first chapter though. I have to finish HMWK first and well I'd rather be scrapping, so I always end up doing that.
This weekend was my hubs 29th birthday. I didn't get to scrap as much as I wanted or study at all because we were busy, but we did see Skyfall, and it was AH-mazing! So good. Also worked, then grocery shopped, then I was too pooped to study, so I scrapped for a few hours Saturday night (late), finished 1 LO, then Sunday we hosted Gavin's little bday party at our house, and I broke two toes tripping over my stupid dog. Ugh... Glad it was just my toes though I could've broken my knee and TV too if I hadn't caught myself first on the TV stand before stumbling to the ground, lol. Just my luck.
Anywhoo... I'm trying to wrap things up at work this week since it's my last week here. Next week I start my new job, and I'm excited, and SO glad it's a short work week because of the holidays. I'm excited to do some Black Friday shopping!! Might need a boot so I can do this, lol.
Hope everyone is having an eventful day. Today feels like Monday for me because I was off work yesterday, so glad it's Tuesday! |

Gabrielle: thanks! I still need to organize it better and do my closet which holds my albums, magazines, knitting, and other crafts. It's a on going challenge. I am not sure when I'll be in the area gain. We talked my friends into visiting us so we probably won't go through Denton until we move in June. Thanks though. I am praying we find a rental house that has an extra room with plenty of space for everything we have to put in it.
Okay I am soooo happy and was in a GREAT mood I placed two orders for my secret Santa recipient and of course I had to put in a thing or two for me. just hope it ships in time to sort, wrap and mail off.
Well I still have more cleaning to do, lunch, and ballet practice for DD so I better get moving. |

I'm Emilly a 28 year old mom of 2 in Ontario Canada. I have been scrapping for 12 years and my love of scrapbooking has grown since the birth of my son (4 years) and daughter (2.5 years). Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! You girls are the best
It seems like it will be a week-long celebration here (not my doing!). My cousins wanted to take me to dinner Sunday night, so we went to Cheesecake Factory. It was a lot of fun! Bummer is that I'm pretty sure my cousin & I both got slight food poisoning... not something you expect from a nice place like that, but it can happen anywhere I'm feeling better today, so hopefully my stomach cooperates.
My mom & I are spending the day together - we're going to the Plaza (fancy outdoor shopping area) to walk around, and then dinner tonight at an Argentinian restaurant. In between, I'm hoping to scrap some!
I have 3 friends who want to celebrate later in the week - I know for sure I am going to see Breaking Dawn Part 2 with one friend! Super excited.
Rach- no worries! It was just funny because you were one of 4 people to tell me happy birthday yesterday (including my brother, who thought he was a day late!) and I actually started questioning if I was off on my days! LOL.
oh, I have a little birthday giveaway on my blog -- *giveway* Go enter! |

Evening ladies!
First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONICA
Just got home and made dinner and did dishes Now to rest and be lazy. I wasn't home till 9:30 last night. I worked, then got a few groceries, then went and got my nails done! I love getting my nails done, it's so relaxing and I love how they look after. I got a sparkly turquoise smile line this time!
Loni: The wedding was beautiful Can't get much better than having it in a butterfly house. Though, it was -22 Celcius that day.... BRR!
Emilly: Hii! Super excited to have another girl from Canada! I'm Lisa, 22 and just got married this past August to the love of my life of ALMOST 6 years (less than a month till we've been together for 6 years ). I live in Alberta, and have 2 cats
Christina: I'm on the bandwagon with Melissa, LOVE LOVE LOOOOOOVE those LO's! How did you do the ombre effect with the first one with the squares? I love it and want to scraplift it!!
Monica: Hope your birthday "week" is wonderful. You deserve it!
Well I went to this farmer's christmas market thing on the weekend, and picked up a few goodies (some frozen food type stuff) and had some and it was deeeelish! Now i'm going to possibly scrapbook or watch TV. My brain is ka-put from work today, but I know I have about 30 or so more Christmas cards to make!

Lisa, I cut out some of the squares in the graph paper with a craft knife, then i took some pink cardstock and painted some white paint from the edge to the middle using a dry paintbrush. Then I cut out a strip with the best "transition" or ombre look and glued it to the back of the page so it shows through the holes i cut earlier. I hope that all makes sense, I really can't wait to see what you ladies come up with! |

Yeah. I completed 1 spread and 1 layout so far. I have a doctors appt later so not sure how much I'll be able to during nap, but I am up for a challenge. I too have laundry Loni and was hoping the laundry fairy would wash, fold, and put them away for me. Lol. Oh we'll guess I better get started and after lunch I will be on the chat. Hope you ladies can make it.
I look forward to hearing about what you got Melissa. Still debating over 5th and Folic. Love it, but not sure if I need it right now. Hopefully my is holiest will be around come July. Lol. And hopefully I get a room big enough to fit it all in when we move.

Happy (belated) birthday, Monica!
Christina, those layouts are adorable! I particularly like the diagonals in the first one. So pretty.
It was a hectic day at work and I'm SO TIRED of sitting in front of a computer, so I'll keep this short. Hope everyone's having a lovely week! |

Hey girls!
Yay! We're half way through this week! It's been crazy busy these first three days.. I've been working my ass off, but sadly didn't get round doing anything I planned to do Last night I went to the gym after work to clear my mind.. Tonight we were in doubt about going to the movies (skyfall), but the only one that was available was at 10, which means we won't get to go to bed til about 1.. And I'm afraid that won't work for me with another busy day ahead tomorrow So anyway, I'm planning on doing some scrapping.. want to finish a PL week, since I'm extremely far behind
What are you gals up to today/tonight?
@ Camille: just got a cameo as well.. Love it! I'll just work it out as I go (although that's not normally my style.. I'm usually a 'read the manual first' kind of gal
@ Loni: I really need to kick myself to go to the gym.. Afterwards I feel great, but beforehand.. I never really feel like it I must admit I try to go at least once, sometimes twice a week
With regard to the cut it out class; I haven't had time to read them all yet.. Was busy trying out the machine for myself, but I can't wait to read all about it in the lessons
What are you writing about? Will you be the next E.L. James?
@ Melissa: That sucks! Daniel literally eats everything and more importantly: loads of it! He doesn't really gain wait easily although that changes slightly while he's getting older But then again that's the same for me.. Not that I'm complaining I'm still in good shape, but you know you notice the difference with let's say 10 years ago
@ Monica: happy belated birthday! Saw some fun ig pics What about the attack on the internet? That's just wrong! I really don't understand these kind of things.. I'm not an agry/resentful person at all, but to act like that to people you don't even know (that well) I really don't understand.. Hope you get enough kindness & warmth over here to compensate the sillyness elsewhere
@ Theresa: welcome! make yourself at home! I'm sure you'll like it here! Let me introduce myself: I'm Dee from the Netherlands. I'm 26 and live together with my fiancé in the city. I work as an attorney at law (so I hear you about the stressful job thing ) and I love to scrap to clear my mind and relax
@ Elizabeth: I'm curious what LO's you've made.. are you going to show 'em to us?
@ Caro: It's the same for me.. so busy! I hope you get some time to relax!
I'm not working out (yet) for my wedding day.. We haven't set a date yet.. We really need to take some time to do some planning, but we rarely take time for it with work being so stressful for us both these days..
@ Emilly: welcome!
@ Christina: great layouts! Especially love the "I would kind of..." Great one!
Well that's it for now! Talk to you gals later!

Dee: lol yeah I suck at uploading and I hate the way the lighting is and they show up, but I guess I can upload some this weekend.
I am soo beat today and honestly just need a nap but my scrapbooking table is calling me. Lol. Anyone else scrapbooking and want to join chat?
Melissa: look forward to seeing what you got. Love when the post women comes. I miss her! Lol guess she needs a break from my house for a little. She deserves it after all the packages I was getting when I got back from Houston.
Well off to scrapbook (maybe nap). |

Good Luck Melissa! Sounds really great and hopefully they choose you.
Well started my day off with cleaning. Hoping to go bargain hunting with a friend after lunch and hopefully finish my summer mini album I started working on yesterday. I found more atg tape roll and Loni I know why my tape kept breaking. Lol. It was on wrong. If you get a ATG gun I'll make a video on how to put it on right. If on right he tape will not break. Like I said haven't ended tape in forever so I guess I forgot how to put it on and put it on wrong.
Anyway hope everyone is off to a good day. |

Lol Lisa I decided to start a project life now. Tanks for the push. I am really excited to get started and looking forward to getting it all started. One thing I have to ask is does it matter what day of the week you start? Not sure if I like the idea of starting on a Wednesday. Thanks |
