I found one!! It's the Gelly Roll medium point.
WORKS GREAT!!!!! Thank you Shimelle!!
OP: I'm desperate, can you tell?
Tell me which white pen that you have found that works! All the ones that I find look opaque (even when not labeled that type) and don't provide a solid, white line.

I posted a similar thread regarding this same subject. I could not find a white pen that worked either. I bought a set of the Marvy Opaque Stix Pigmented Markers because there was a white pen in it and it didn't not work. I ended up buying a white paint pen at M's instead and it works well.
Someone that responded to my thread gave me this web-site for pens and pencils.

Another one for Uni ball signo. It comes in 2 different points. I've used them extensively for years, will never use anything else.
Its not a great photo, but I've used it on this layout here. You can see how opaque it is for the journaling (even brighter in real life) on black. |

Every time this question comes up, people say the uni ball signo. I've purchased 3, because I thought I must be getting bad ones or something, but none of them were good. They all skip, glob, etc. I've just given up the search for a white pen I like . |

Me too Rebecca! I also bought the Signo Uni Ball white pen and had the same thing since day one. It skips all.the.time!
I only use it if I'm writing in an area that I can cover up if all the "re-tracing" to get a single solid word ends up with the area looking too nasty.
Someone could REALLY make a killing if they'd create the perfect white pen! I don't understand with all the modern technology out there, why that seems to be such a hard thing?

I like the Sakura souffle pen but I don't know if you can find the white by itself. It looks sort of clear as you write but turns white as it dries. |

There is a pen-tell sunburst that might compare to uniball but to me uniball is better. I bought about 6 different ones and I hate to say it but is the best there is. If your skip I suggest you write to uniball. I have to say only have the medium size tip. I also know that the thiner the tip the more it skips. |

White Sharpie paint pen, hands down. I've tried everything else out there. They either don't work at all, or they skip like crazy, or they work once or twice and then stop.
The Sharpie paint pen is the only thing I've found that works. I'm sold.

I have 2 Signo pens. 99% of the time they work fine. Once in awhile though I seriously want to throw it in the street and run over it with the car multiple times. Usually I just wipe the tip of it off, and then it works fine |

This --
Yes the signo ones suck. I'm tired of people saying they're marvelous. They're only marvelous the first three times.
They only seem to work when you very first buy them. Maybe the first couple of times. And then they don't... they skip, goop, sometimes don't write at all.
I'm definitely gonna try that Sharpie Poster Paint one! |

I like the Uni-ball Signo, the Ranger Inkssentials and the white Sharpie (has to be the water based.)
For the two gel pens, you need to write slower than usual AND barely skim the paper with the tip so the gel can flow. Don't press down like with a pencil. I doodle on scrap paper first to make sure the ink is flowing before journaling.
For the white Sharpie, shake it up really really really good first to get a crisp white ink |

Just something to try with the uniball white pen: If it is not writing well for you, use an alcohol wipe and "scribble" on the pad for a little while and then try it on paper again. I've found this to work quite well and it gets the ink flowing again! HTH

I have the Uni-ball Signo and the Sharpie Paint pen.
I use the Uni-ball the most. I like the Sharpie one too but it has a strong odor and I'm a lefty so I have to be cautious when I use it because it smears.
I did recently learn a tip on one of Kristina Werner's videos that if you warm up the tip of the Signo pen on your finger and it helps the ink flow better. I tried that and the ink flowed much easier. HTH! |

I use the Signo White Gel Pen and love it so much that I bought Silver and Gold ones for the holidays. I have had a few bad apples on the Signo but the trick is (i can't take credit for this as i learned it from Kristina Werner) is to run the tip on the edge of your finger to "warm up" the gel ink. I had one that was skipping and tried this and it worked perfectly. No skipping. Worth a try. |

I've tried the finger trick on all my signos when they went bad, as they all did, and it didn't work for me. I've tried different amounts of pressure, I've tried scribbling on other paper, etc. nothing's ever fixed them for me once they stopped working. |

I've never heard of signo skipping until now. I color with the danged things on paper, cardstock, over distress embossing powder (which is really rough).. never once had a problem. So strange that people are having issues. I have both the fine and regular points.
My signos are new, and I've also tried other brands in the last 4 months, none of them compared.
The other thing about signo pens is, they are a bit water soluable, so you can use them basically as a water color (with a damp brush). I came across this accidently a few days ago while I was coloring with it and using water color pencils at the same time. |

It's mostly how it was stored before you bought it.
Tips stay down or horizontal and TIGHTLY capped.
The thicker tip skips less as others have said.
Also, if it starts to skip wipe the tip, and hold it in a trickle of HOT tap water for a few seconds, wipe again and try.
This usually works for me. |

The Sakura original gelly roll pen is the only one I've had work until it actually ran out of ink. Not the glaze or the souffle (which are also cool) but just the plain 'gelly' found at cute stationery stores for lack of a better retail category! I carry one in my handbag and one lives in my drawer so no special treatment, but they continue to write well for me.
Worth a try if you see one. |
