The Sakura original gelly roll pen is the only one I've had work until it actually ran out of ink. Not the glaze or the souffle (which are also cool) but just the plain 'gelly' found at cute stationery stores for lack of a better retail category! I carry one in my handbag and one lives in my drawer so no special treatment, but they continue to write well for me.

Shimelle, is that in white?

I tried out the two that I bought yesterday and I'm still not sold on either one. Why are they opaque? I don't want opaque, I a I just don't understand why I can buy a magic marker in every color of the rainbow and I cannot get one in WHITE.

I'm going to an art store today and just playing with a bunch of pens.

I just checked my white pen stash to see what I currently have. I haven't scrapped for 3-4 years and since the Spring am getting back to it. When I did scrap in the past I remembered nothing but frustration in trying to get a white pen to write.

So, I have 3 "The Ultimate Gel Pen" from American Crafts and 1 "Gelly Roll Med" white pen. I tried the Gelly Roll first. Remember these have been stored horizontally for awhile now. The Gelly Roll wrote smoothly without skipping from the first second I put it to paper. It is a crisp white that is easily read.

Then I tried the American Crafts Pens one after another. All 3 started without any ink flowing, but after awhile one flowed for just a bit and then no ink again. The other two, no ink at all ever flowed.

Shimelle is right again! I love the Gelly Roll pen!

I went to an art store, Artmart. I think Dick Blicks carries them too.

Q: Is the gelly roller the same one that seems to write kinda clear and then it dries and it is opaque? I used to have one that i thought was sakura that was like that and i found it a bit confusing the writie with since i didnt seem to be able to see the writing until it dried?
