I see that some people have LINKED or NOT LINKED next to the cartridges they are selling. What does that mean and does it affect the "new" users ability to use the cartridge?

Linked cartridge - The cartridge can only be linked once to a gypsy or Cricut Craft Room (CCR)
Non-Linked cartridge - You have the availability to link the cartridge to your gypsy or CCR.
Both Linked and non-linked cartridge can work on a cricut machine.
Q: Does a Link Cartridge affect the performance
So the big question for you - Are you thinking about purchasing a gypsy in the future? or do you want to download all of your cartridges to the CCR?
If your answer no, then linked is a great way to go.
If your answer yes, then linked will not work for you.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thank you for your help ladies. I just ordered my E2, so I haven't even gotten it yet, but I have been looking at carts here on FSOT and your answers have helped greatly.
