Just wondering if I'm the only one who saved her pennies to buy sheets of stickers so I could put them all in a little album...guess some things never change! (the puffy ones and the scratch & sniff were my favorites)

Just the puffy ones, but I think I mostly was trading them with pen pals. I do remember some smurf ones I really liked.

In the 4/5th grade. I use to collect stickers. I was a huge fan of Lisa Frank.

When I outgrew my sticker fad, I gave them away as prizes, to the kindergarten class.

Yes, I loved stickers and had one of the sticker books. It's funny because I don't like stickers very much now.

The inside of my 2 full size closet doors were full of stickers. I never even thought about that until I saw this post

I wonder how the people who bought the house got them all off!

I had one.
But my younger sister's collection was the best. She even collected the stickers off of the bananas at the grocery store.

My mom still has the books.

Some of the scratch and sniff still smell after 25 yrs. Now that is quality!!!

Oh yes! I loved puffy, scratch and sniff, and the googly eye ones! I still have a few that I stuck in a journal in 1982 or so, but they're (sadly) gone for the most part.

Everyone in my school had one. All the chicks anyway. Back when I first started scrapping I made a mini album of my favourite stickers and little notes about some memories of trading/collecting. I liked the fuzzy animal stickers the best. It helped that I lived in the same town as Mrs. Grossman's warehouse.

uhmmm.... yes!! loved stickers as a kid and was insanely jealous of my friends'/neighbors's collection. and my mom didn't let me buy stickers often so i would take my dad's office labels and draw my own stickers with my crayola markers. DIY for the win.

YES!!! Sure did. I actually was just looking for my album a few months back to show my 8 yr old, but, I think I may have accidentally tossed it a few years ago in a move.
My faves were Lisa Frank and the ones with the liquid in them so when you pushed on it it looked iridescent and changed color tone. Remember those anyone? I only had a few if those. They were hard to come by.
What a fun memory!

I did!!! At least one full magentic photo album full...I think I had a second. Not sure what happened to them though Loved them all, but my favorites were the jell filled "mood" stickers, the stuff inside moved as you pushed it and changed colors Scratch & Sniff were next favorite!

We received a bunch of boxes of Scratch 'n sniffs at the store I work at. Was surprised (and happy) when we got them

Yes - loved the fuzzy ones... And the ones that I've just learnt were called mood stickers... Also had a collection of beads - kept them in a yogurt container, and one of paint chips - kept them in a cookie tin... I've been a hoarder since kindergarden

Yessss! I do still have mine. I had a separate book just for scratch n sniffs and they all still work. I was a sticker nut! I had a magnetic album, and I also had some collection from the Scholastic book orders that started with a binder and basic set and came with different themes every month (sound familiar? seriously, those things really were my gateway drug).

Yes. I was an avid sticker collector, and I still have my albums (a bit roughed up, thanks to a younger brother who played with some of my stickers ), and read "Stickers!" (later "Stickers and Stuff" faithfully.

I did!! I even had a special binder to put them in. I remember my Aunt got one for her daughter and me. The pages in it were different colors and had like a wax on top of it so you could peel them off. I had a page for each different types of stickers. I loved the holographic looking ones, the scratch n sniff and the fuzzy ones. I even collected the garbage pail kids stickers.

Oh wow, Lisa Frank and Garbage Pail kids...this brings back memories! Our library had scratch and sniff bookmarks a few years back, and I felt like I was 8 years old again when I scratched and sniffed that thing.

I also had an eraser collection-you know, all those cute shapes and some scented ones too. I was an avid collector, but never used a single one...guess I was saving them?

oh good memories...

I had an album in the early 80's. My faves were the filled mood stickers, Mrs. Grossman animals and the scenes like the create your own gingerbread house and dress a bear, and the stratch and sniff. It the back I had a bunch of those I <3 Bumper stickers like I love Michael Jaskson (in thriller font), I love Coulture Club, Stray Cats, Adam Ant...

I also loved everything Hello Kitty and Rainbow.

We had a Friendship store in our town and I was rewarded with trips to San Francisco to go to the Mrs. Grossman store on Pier 39.

I did! I didn't have an album; I kept them in a pencil box. I remember always telling myself that I "needed" them and thinking of all the ways I would use them. But when it was time to actually use one, I would change my mind because I didn't want them to be 'gone.' Hmmmmmmmm, I'm sensing a pattern. I do the same thing with some of my favorite scrapping supplies!!

What a great question/memory!

Fun question WendySue. My son (now 35) collected stickers when he was a boy; he loved going to the card store where they had lots of pkgs. and rolls of stickers - the scratch'n'sniff were his favorite and he also had those Garbage Pail Kids ones. I started buying Mrs. Grossman's stickers then to "seal" cards and add to notes - I still think she's a genius!
And it seems that I'm a sticker collector now too - I have several drawers of stickers that I don't use much, but I just can't seem to get rid of either. They're one of those inexpensive items that just make you smile....Maria
