Anyone up and at it yet? Based on Sarp's thread yesterday, sounds like paper will be flying today.
I had purchased a couple Christmas card kits from Basic Grey, so I'm going to get them finished. I needed a decent white pen and since I found one, I'm ready to go with them.

Ha! I was getting ready to ask Scoobers the same thing!
I ordered Citrus Twist's DD and Cocoa Daisy's Christmas add-on. I received the add-on this week and it's gorgeous!
ETA... I also ordered some MME All is Bright from here! I think I'm set for the season! |

I'll admit I'm not familiar with either of those kit clubs, but I hear of them often. The kits look wonderful! Even though I am not doing DD this year, I did buy the OA Xmas Kit yesterday. It's kinda' like an early (best) stocking stuffer, right? |

Yes, that's the one! I'm still undecided which album I'm going to use... either AC Modern 8 1/2x11 or Simple Stories with green binder... tough decision.

I will be cleaning my filthy scrap space first! LOL! After that, I will be starting on my December Daily. Every year, I put an album together, and it never QUITE gets finished. This year, I have made it so very simple. I took an old Bo Bunny 6x6 binder album from my stash, and will be altering it today. I picked up a 6x6 paper pad at M's (Jolly Holidays, soooo stinkin' cute!) and will be using that, but not cutting up the base pages AT ALL. I love that paper, so I decided I would use the pages with the scenes at the bottom to journal on, and use the "b" side type papers with tiny prints to slap down a photo. I will make a few cutesy die cuts of gingerbread men and houses and candy canes and gum drops, and a few pieces of ribbon will be used. That's IT. And hopefully, by the end of the day on December 26, I will have a completely finished album. |

Good morning ladies!
I'm up at working on my December Daily album. I completed the base pages last week. Now, I'm working on journaling inserts and tags.
I'm using my gi-normous stash and trying not to purchase any new things. The plan is to exhaust my stash so I can replenish next year. It's working so far.
Today I'm challenging myself to use my stamps. That's a big deal for me.
Taking my grandson to soccer around 9am but I'll be back at it this afternoon.

I did not get the Citrus Twist DD but want to go on record supporting Trina. She is super nice and really focused on customer service. I recently completed a 3 month 'trial' subscription and plan to reorder after the holidays.

Penny - Scrapbook Remix is Shimelle's latest class offering through her own website (not here at Two Peas). At it's core, it is a class on how to mix paper from different manufacturers. Now, that is REALLY simplifying things, because there is so much more to the class than that.
Shimelle's style is quite different than my own, but I learn so much from reading about / watching her process and I find her ideas easily adaptable to my own way of scrapping. She is able to break things down so they make so much sense and to me, it is fascinating to have a creative process broken down into "steps" (as it were).

Good Morning! Got power back last Sunday night so besides a freak snowstorm and only 2 days of school, we had a normal week. I'm definitely going to scrap today. First I'm bringing DD for her passport photo. She's traveling to Spain in Feb with the foreign lang dept at school.
I'm unsure if I'm doing a DD this year. I did one once and it sits here, uncompleted! Last year I did PL (also uncompleted) see the theme here....
I did have my eye on the Cocoa Daisy holiday add on but broke the bank last month with the Halloween kit! I did place an order with twopeas yesterday and I ordered the SC holiday paper pad and some extras.
I posted THIS THREAD yesterday with some friday scrapping inspiration, but alas no one responded so it died on page three somewhere. Have a look if you want.

Good Morning Ladies...All this talk about DD and it is really making me want to attempt one this year. I just feel our lives are the same old boring everyday routines even in December except the few Christmas Traditions added in. Would I be setting myself up to fail if I attempt it using my stash ( I am a slow scrapper). My DH will be taking almost half the month off from work as he has vacation days to use or lose before the 1st so maybe will do more "Christmasy"
things this year.
Penny thanks for the links...those kits are cute...I love the colors in the one you got scoobers....
Hilsmom..I get the "messy room" I got mine mostly clean this last Sunday and it's already a mess in there again! Is that a sign of progress? I will tell myself that cause then it will look like I am getting lots done!
I will likely being doing some scrapping later today in between 3 soccer games. Except it isn't the LO's I want to work on it's an album for my DD's soccer coach I just decided Wednesday I was doing and our team party is Monday so I will be working on that every chance I get.

I'm hoping to actually scrap today since dh, dd and ds are all out hunting until tomorrow night! I've had a bad week and need the therapy. I just didn't feel like being alone but maybe chatting here won't make me feel so all alone!
I'm going to work on my dd's Washington trip 8 X 8 album so I can get it done before I start my DD! I have to fold and put away laundry and build a cabinet for the closet in my scraproom too this weekend. |

I am planning a trip to the brick and mortar Scrap n Yap (Monrovia, CA) on Friday, so I'm holding off doing some layouts until then because DH probably plans on abandoning me there from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; the crop itself is from 2 p.m. to midnight. |

Windy, windy, WINDY here in the desert SW...was thinking of going on a hike but not in this weather! So I hit the scrap-loft and completed a super simple, quick page about a hike I took last February with three of my neighbors (one a baby in a carrier). I'm just taking a break before journaling to check the dates on the photos.

I am not scrapping yet but I've been busy. I am on Long Island where the recent hurricane did massive amounts of damage. Luckily, I was without power for about a week a minor inconvenience considering. Anyway, I had a few blankets that I crocheted that I either wanted to donate somewhere or give to someone so I gave them to the local fire department to distribute to the people that now need them most. I also gave a small check. Then I stopped off at the local thrift store and gave a bag of gently used clothes I know I will never wear. After that I got myself a coffee and read the paper. Life is good. |

I started getting everything out and DH came in from the garage saying he was going on a motorcycle ride with our neighbor. That means he would be gone most of the day. I ended up cleaning the house and went to the mall.
I'm a scrappy fail. now my back hurts from moving around so much and I'm on the sofa. So much for good intentions.
Tomorrow is another day. |

It is 81 degrees here, so I spent the day shopping. That's a bit like enjoying the weather, right? It is so nice to go places without a coat and trying to drive in bad weather, so I enjoyed it. Now tomorrow, I think some scrapping will be in order. I am doing PL for November with something I am thankful for every day. Gotta catch up! |

I'm at a retreat w/ my BFF and sisters. Having the time of our lives. I've gotten some digital scrapping done and have been working on cards most of the afternoon. I keep wanting to get back to scrapping, but most of the ladies here are working on cards, holiday goodies and gifts....so I'm having fun learning all kinds of new things!!!!!
I figure I can scrap on my own at home...while I'm here i'm going to absorb as much creativity as I can!!!

Well, I have 10 pages plus the cover page done and working on the next two and realized I may be missing an entire day of photos from the trip! I have to go and check. Drat! I am using the emails the teacher's sent home each day as journaling and doing an 8 X 8 album. I hope to finish day 3 tonight. (There were only 4 days total of the trip).
I have to break, eat dinner and run to the store, plus put some laundry away. Dh got a big buck this morning but I don't think the kids have their deer yet. Hope they don't get home until tomorrow evening!
Aggies were amazing. I'm watching my school, SMU, now. They are actually winning! |

Got all my Bingo card cuts and got the turkey feathers and bodies and heads duplicated on Silhouette cut files. Next, I need to print out the paper and then cut the parts.
Ugh.
But, my 3 guys want me to go to a 10:30 showing of SKYFALL, so who can refuse a late night date night with Daniel Craig? I took a little nap and will have to cut turkey parts another day.
But, hey - I have 1 days before company descends.
