Thanks for the info! I'm definitely looking for a new trimmer - my small fiskars is just not cutting it (no pun intended!) anymore! Too many wonky cuts

oohhh...yea!!! I was on the fence before, but think I need to take the plunge and get it. Even if it stays at home when I go to crops I could at least use it for here and for cutting out those pesky journal cards and simple stories stuff

I agree. I'm totally ready for a trimmer to last more than 6 months! I almost bought a Genesis years ago, but I was like 1 year out on the wait list and gave up.

I'm hoping this will last me a looooong time.

I would highly recommend trying one in person before you shell out the $$. I jumped on the bandwagon during the Facebook sale, and got one of the defective ones. With my techie son's help, we followed the company's directions for trying to fix it. Taking it apart revealed several design flaws that led me to feel that it wasn't worth the money...in addition to the fact that the one I received had a mis-aligned grid-which is embossed in the plastic-no fix to it.
Long story short-I have been trying to get a refund since October 5. It took almost 30 days to get a return shipping label. They received my return on October 31, and yet, in spite of continued re-assurance from their customer service, I have received no refund. IMO the product is not worth what they charge for it AND their customer service is below par.

I have a brand new one in the box...never used that I've had on the fsot board..
Willing to sell it for $70 shipped. I jumped on the sale...but I really do mostly digital scrapping and not much else for papercrafting.
I didn't realize how big this was and don't really have the room to have it sitting out or a place to store it.

Let me know if you are interested. basketsandbears@hotmail.com.
I am on the good sellers list.

thanks
deb

I have had mine since March 2010 and I LOVE it and the improvements to the 2.0 version fix everything I wish was different with mine. But I still love it like crazy!!

I bought one that had a misaligned grid, but I called customer service and was able to exchange it. I was just telling DH last night how much I love this trimmer! I'm very happy with my purchase.

I'm soooo excited to get this trimmer! To finally not have to fight to cut paper. I'd scrapped for years and I should open a trimmer museum cause they all were terrible and I kept searching.

Of all the trimmers I've owned, this is the best.

But it's not perfect.

I had one that was misaligned the first time. Sent it back at my expense, and waited a bit more than three weeks before it was back on my desk. The I upgraded during the Facebook sale, and suspect I have a defective one AGAIN. The blade drags against the edge, making a grinding noise, and I have yet to cut something straight with it, which means that damn ruler is probably screwed up again.

I was thinking this was my imagination because I'd had troubles the first time, but a friend was over last week, and out of the blue she said, "Did you drop your Cutterpillar or something? It's not cutting smooth -- it's like it's tearing the paper and dragging along."

So I'm just trying to find the energy (and the shipping fees) to go through the exchange and/or factory fix. Again.

Julie

Good luck, Julie. It's now been 38 days since I requested my refund. They have the defective trimmer, they have the second trimmer that they tried to send me, which I also sent back AND they have my money.

Oh no, Julie! They should send you a pre-paid label! They sent me one via email and I printed it out, taped it on my box and a week later--new trimmer came my way and it works PERFECTLY!!
