Fine with me. I got my computer files of photos organized on one of the many days I was away from home with the laptop, but still need time to get the photos of the kids organized. I don't imagine it will take too long, but then the holidays will be filled with new photos to scrap, which I prefer to stay on top of.
Also, while I am a hoarder of magazines, I got rid of most of my 2008 and earlier ones when I saw Week 7. For some reason, I decided four years back was far enough to throw away. But a couple of art journal challenges that called for cutting words or pictures out of magazines caused me to go through, cull and toss Nov. 2008 CK and Dec. 2008 CK as well. May have a few from 2009 tossed before long. |

Well I've been creating a lot but not organizings so I definitly could use a catch up week!
Photos is kind of where I stalled. I looked and discovered that I have over 30,000 digital photos!! YIKES!!
First I need to get another EHD and back that sucker up!
I have it all organized by Y-M-Date. But since I moved to Picassa last year I haven't been as good at renaming all the pictures while I was learing the nuances of the program. I like to have the date in the name so that it gets printed on the back when I order prints.
I'm still struggling with how to organize with the album and tag features. I'm sure it is pretty simple but I having a hard time wrapping my brain around it and how they would work with/complement my chrono organization.
Thanks Michele for keeping us going! Have we ever heard back from Amanda? I hope all is ok with her.

I have been following all the weeks pretty well, except for week 7, I think (the ideas).
My dad has had some health issues that I've been helping with, so I've kind of fallen off the scrapping radar, so to speak. He's doing so much better now, so I'm trying to get back into it!
I have done great things with organizing and purging! I still have to go through my memorabilia, but I have most of it organized in plastic baggies. I have to go through the rest and then write down what I have for what events/dates. Then it will be easier to incorporate it into my layouts.
I'm excited to get back into it! I'm going scrapping with a friend at the end of the month, so I'd like to get really set for it! |
