I'm really considering this project life thing. Lol. But my question is-what do you take photos of? I'm a SAHM. We are very much a stay at home family.

You can take pictures of anthing and everything. For me, it reminds me of my grandparents scrapbooks where they slipped in photos, theater receipts, cards, and more. One of the things I love about PL is that sometimes in the everyday busyness of life I forget what is special in the moment. I take pictures of the normal things: a pile of laundry to fold and my daughter helping me fold it; a flower posey picked from our garden; our dog curled up with our cat; a beautiful homecooked meal hot out of the oven; that cup of starbucks coffee. When I take pcitures o these kinds of things, I guess it makes me slow down and enjoy the little everyday things that make up a life.

Take pictures of whatever you want-those daily things that you think you will never forget but believe me, you do forget. It doesn't have to be a picture a day-again it can be anything you want. I only bought the page protectors this year and have used my own patterned paper and embellies. There are soooo many free printables for any subject that I've printed and used. I love the kits but don't have the money and so for me this has worked. I print pics at home and take advantage of the online developing sales so always have photos. I am behind but am not concerned. When I went to print last week's photos, I realized I hadn't taken a photo since Halloween so I looked around and I have kid's artwork, some school papers, some cool catalog images and some journal cards that I'll write some things down my kids said and there is my week. What matters is my family's everyday is preserved and for me as my children are getting older (ages 13, 9 and 5) I want to remember these crazy days. This is long but hope it helps you.

I did it in 2009 and there were days that nothing much was going on so I took pics of pretty much anyhting. A new purse, favorite shoes, breakfast, dinners, favorite TV shows, ouotdoor thermometer, laundry piles, anything will work. Lol.

There are lots of SAHMs that do PL, once you get started you will have all kinds of ideas.. Pics of kids first day of the school year, nap time, playing, daily household chores, birthdays, holidays, raking leaves, planting flowers...sometimes it gets hard just to narrow it down to one photo for the day.

I almost didn't start doing PL because I thought I would never have anything to put in my albums....I work from home.... My husband works away from home so he's only home about 4 days every 6-8 weeks ...Our son is 24 and works away from home, although he lives 1200 miles away when he isn't working... The closest family I have is 1000 miles away in either direction...It's just me and the dogs 99% of the time...
I meet a friend for lunch and a little shopping about once a week...On the days when I go shopping I keep receipts and I take pictures ... I always have my little camera in my purse or I use my phone .... I take pictures of our silly dogs all the time .... I take pictures of my daily chores sometimes ... Laundry and dishes and vacuuming make for interesting pictures especially if you're wearing flannel pajamas and 4 inch heels ...(long story) ...I take pictures when I get new scrap toys and when I start reading a new book or get a new video game (Yes, I play video games...Shhh)... I take pictures if anything interesting happens in the neighborhood, like our neighbors garage sale on a day when the wind is blowing 40 mph, or our other neighbors putting up their yard full of large Christmas decorations in OCT ....And I journal a little bit about it all ....
The way I include my husband and son is I have them send me pictures at least twice a week and tell me about what's going on with them ....Just because they aren't here doesn't mean they aren't part of my every day life ....I jot down funny or interesting things from conversations... If a song comes on the radio that reminds me of something or somone (especially family that have passed away)I'll sometimes add a picture of them, add a memory or the song lyrics for my journaling because thinking of them was part of my day ...
Someone might look at one of my albums 50 years from now and think I was about the most boring person on the planet, but doing it makes me happy and that's all that matters ....
If you want to do PL I say go for it ... You can always find things to put in your albums ....I think the best moments happen when you aren't expecting them....

I take pictures of EVERYTHING. I'm not a SAHM, but we aren't huge travelers. Check out my gallery for some ideas. A lot of my PL is made up of everyday shots and then funny stories and things my boys say.

Im a SAHM. Some of my favourite photos are of clothes hanging in the line, the pile of wipes the baby pulled out, a messy room, a clean room, meals we eat, the kids in the car, daughter with her homework. All of this is part of our lives and the simple everyday things won't ally forget. Trust me. There will be so much to take fphotos of and it will improve your photography.
