He's being a brat...very hyper. Barking at me, wanting constant attention. He just tried to jump on the couch (something he does several hundred times/day with no difficulty). He clearly undershot it...and was rebounded to the floor (he's only 12.5 lbs). Now he's just sitting there dumbfounded. But finally quiet!
Before you accuse me of animal cruelty, I'm about to call him up on my lap and give him some lovin'. But he did deserve it just a tiny, little bit.
I wish I could have videoed it!

I have three little dogs. Two of them are complete opposites. One is black, 7lbs, and very agile and quick. The other is white, 17lbs (kinda chubby for her size), and has the agility of a baby whale. The white one thinks she can do anything the little black one can. They rip around this house like their rear ends are on fire... And then the little one will make a giant leap for the couch.
The larger one almost always miscalculates and bounces right off the front of the couch.
It. Is. Hilarious!

My dog does that when trying to get up on our bed; especially when we first got our new bedroom set which sits higher than our old one.
I find it funnier when the cat does something similar or slips off something. She looks at me like *I* did it and then cleans herself and walks away.

How are you feeling today???
I'm OK... Thanks for asking! I'm still coughing...a LOT...but no fevers. I have an appointment with my PCP tomorrow morning and I'm going to insist on a chest x-ray and culture.
Whatever it is...it's definitely going around here. Several of my local FB friends are reporting the same symptoms. And their doctors are telling them the same thing mine told me in the beginning--that it's all allergies. What's up with that?

Mine does that every once it a while, it cracks me up!
The front of our couch is fairly soft, so it's not like it hurts her, but she boinks right off and it makes me laugh!

In February we got new furniture. The day before the new furniture was to be delivered, we got rid of the couch and moved other furniture into a different room. My Bichon, Chloe, decided to do her usual run around the house which she at some point during the run will jump on the couch, run to the end and jump off. Well, she apparently forgot that there was no couch anymore and jumped right into the wall. My sister was over and my dds were also in the room. They started laughing. I checked to make sure Chloe was OK, then she slinked off to hide in another room.

My boys frequently forget they have three inch legs.
It's fun to watch the first half of the dog make it on to the couch while he's squirming to get the second half up there.
The look on their faces is priceless.
|Posted: 11/13/2012 1:32:22 PM|Our Malamute/Shepherd mix ran full speed into the back door (glass) last summer. She was fine and acted all nonchalant...DS and I nearly wet ourselves laughing.
Our yellow Lab tripped over her own feet last night and went down in a noisy heap on the hardwood floor. Then she barked at the floor for tripping her. Goofy dog.
