I just discovered the Glitter Girl videos the other day and they are amazing! I am actually glad I stumbled on to them late in the game because now I don't have to wait a week to watch a new one. Kind of like when you discover a new series on Netflix and get to watch a whole season in a few days (although I think it will take me longer than that to get through all the GG videos!).
I have a bunch of stuff sitting in my cart, I guess if you're going to twist my arm I could go ahead and click "check out"
While we're talking about classes, does anyone know where I can find links to old classes? I'm thinking specifically of the Jennifer McGuire Thinking Inking classes (the original and the holiday one), and there was a class about using stamps on scrapbook LOs that I started watching when it came out but never finished. I think that one might be from 2010 or 2011?

Thank you Shimmelle for answering all of the questions!
1-I would love to see weekly due cutting classes _ maybe they could rotate between Cameo, Cricut, sizzix etc so that everyone could play- even just one week on dressing up those die cuts?
2- of course more glitter girl!
3- Stamping scrapbook pages from Jen Gallagher/ I miss those so much from Nichol and I love Jen's style and her stamping ideas - she would be perfect!
And yes, love to have a button to click so the shop would know which GG inspired my purchases!

my thoughts on all of this:
yes! please bring back glitter girl next year. My favorite shimelle video this year was the nsd kit one and there was a kit-related glitter girl one as well...
also, the project life class with lisa truesdell
would totally love to see an art journaling/mixed media class! again, would totally love to see an art journaling/mixed media class!
oh, and a finding your style class as well.
and the pieces of me class with maggie holmes and studio calico (hint: I would actually love to see some semblance of her happy little moments class offered again that was offered on sc's site) - they were both so cute!

It's almost the end of December and we've still not heard anything from GG that she will live on, on 2peas.

I hope she does! But, I realize this is probably a bit time consuming, and GG may need to go help other people in need . . . but I will certainly miss her if she doesn't come back. I just placed my first orders for washi tape and mists because of her, as well as my first order of die cuts in years (previously I just bought paper and the occasional stamp or punch).

Shimelle is an absolute delight. Her structured, yet flexible approach to scrapbooking and design is so refreshing. Every video, from my perspective, is well-crafted and thought out with the viewer in mind. With that said, I would adore seeing more Glitter Girl videos, but I cannot image how much work goes into a 20-25 minute each week. I wish I had a SB gal pal like her! I bet it would be a blast. |
