I haven't seen it that low for this version yet (I also checked camelcamelcamel and it hasn't gone this low until now. I got this link from fishing for deals.
web page
Ordered mine last night. I was only able to put regular photoshop on 2 computers (both of my girls' computers) so I'm getting this for DS to use on his. |

I just bought it this afternoon. I've never seen new upgrades/versions this low just after they've been released. I can't wait until I have some time to play. This is going to be a big step up for me. My last version was PSE6.

I think I have PSE7. At this price would it be worth the upgrade? What would I gain?
Thanks for your help! |

Nope, I won't be laughing at ya! I have PSE6, and I think it is the devil! So if you have PSE2 figured out and can use it, I'm jealous, not laughing!
I'd like to think I'm smart enough to figure PSE out-but man, it is my own personal demon! I've read/watched tutorials, bought books (think PSE for dummies) but NOTHING has helped me figure it out. I can barely open the program without saying a few choice swear words.
But, I am very happy for anyone who gets such a good deal on it!

That is a really good price .... Yay for those that buy it....I'm usually pretty quick to jump on software upgrades....I've had PSE 10 since it was first released .... I've learned how to use the software and make it do everything I want, which took many many hours of video tutorials and countless hours of trial and error.... I LOVE this software and I won't be upgrading anytime soon ..... I watched a couple of videos showing the upgrades from previous versions to 11 and there's MAJOR changes ... For me it would be almost like having to learn completely new software... The functions are mostly the same, but the entire set up is different, and that's a big deal for me... I think I'll stick with 10 for as long as I can .... |

I'm using PSE6 still too. With every new version I agonized over whether to upgrade. Since my kids are now using photoshop and PSE I decided it's time and have been waiting on a sale. |

Lexi, I went from 7 to 10 and it was a nice upgrade, so I say go for 11. |

If you want to pay, there are some really good classes at Jessica Sprague's website. I think there's a site called elements village or something like that with a message board that has what I would guess lots of help. If you want books, Scott Kelby's are probably the best. I know he makes photoshop books but I think he also makes them for photoshop elements. |

Due to my elements 10 being stolen from me and a computer crash, I was able to upgrade to 11. I have to say that between the two 11 is the best! It runs so much better. It's an improvement! Most of the time I don't like the upgrades because they tend to be unstable, but this is the best I have ever worked with! It's more user friendly too

I have PSE 9, and its good, but I have heard the PSE 11 makes it easy for you to load actions, and the layers pallette is nearly the same as CS.

Also want to recommend the Scott Kelby books for learning how to use any Adobe Software. He shows you what you need to know, and its in a step by step visual tutorial, not a bunch of techie mumbo jumbo.
You can find all his books on Amazon also.

I will look into the suggestions mentioned . I did bookmark a few places I found on line for later use. I have not installed the program to my computer yet. I'm saving it for Thanksgiving break. I'm super excited to finally have a copy. Honestly, I thought it was a bit pricy at the $70.00 price tag. I sold a few scrappy things on Craig's list, and happily spent my $50.00 on the program.
Due to my elements 10 being stolen from me
How does that happen?

I got mine this weekend at Costco. I have been using 5, and probably not its full potential. Looking at Jessica's site, are these for Elements or full up Photoshop? I don't see it specified anywhere but maybe I am looking in the wrong place?

You can use Elements for Jessica's classes. It is specified in the class descriptions. |

Thank you! | |

I just purchased -- had been using version 8. As far as tutorials I highly recommend TheDigitalScrapbookTeacher. I've purchased her DVD's and have found them to be quite useful. I like having the DVD to go back to if I get stumped.
She also has great instructional books.

How does that happen?
What happened was that in feb, i got elements 10, in june, while we were away for a weekend, our roomates moved out. The cd and serial number were stolen while we were away, but left the box... so in september when my laptop (which had elements installed on it) crashed, we couldn't recover it, thank goodness i had my photo's on cd's. i went to get the cd to install on the new computer, and alas i found it was GONE!

That's not silly. Silly is buying a program when you don't know what it does. Not that I would know.
With photoshop elements you can do digital scrapbooking, photo editing, photo organization, graphic design type things (like for blogs and websites) and probably more that I'm forgetting. I mostly use it for editing pics for my blog and for making elements for my blog. I have the full version of regular photoshop too but elements loads more quickly and is easier to use for some things. I use photoshop mostly for editing pictures. |

I just hit the order button. I figure I have gotten 9 years out of version 2 and now it is time to move forward. I have installed it on 4 or 5 computers since I got it in 2004.
I bought the appropriate dummies book, too. I''ll also look into online classes. |

Thanks for THAT heads up! I probably wouldn't have even noticed-I rarely look at the junk (sorry, literature) in these software boxes-and I have calendars to order soon. |
