I don't have a photo, but I made an LO once that had a whole bunch of letter stickers arranged on the paper in rows. Then I put a piece of vellum over it so the letters wouldn't be too distracting and built my LO on top of that. My boyfriend, a non-scrapper, thought it looked cool!

You could also create a little bit of texture for a page or a card by sticking the letters on paper and then painting or distress inking over it. That would probably work better with stickers than chipboard letters. This could be a good way to use up a funny colored piece of CS or PP you don't really like too.

Sometimes I cut letter stickers or rotate them to get the letter I need. For example, you can flip a Z on it's side to make an N, or you can cut the tail off a Q to make an O.

Most of the time though I just toss them out! I've built up a collection of alpha stamps. Between those, my Slice, and the Martha Stewart alphabet punches I don't use letter stickers much anymore, although they sure are convenient when I don't want to bother hauling out my Slice or stamping gear!

I was just looking at my older Thickers packs wondering the same thing! I hate to throw them out because they all still have numbers, which would be useful for dates. Maybe Glitter Girl should do a video on this, if she has not covered it already.

When I start finding that I have several alphas that are mostly used up in the same color I tend to try to mix the fonts to get whatever word I am going for. Also, sometimes I will mix and match a bunch of packs together to get my title and paint all the letters to match.

obviously there comes a point where you just can't even make that work, and usually at that point I will just toss it unless inspiration strikes.

I've done this layout earlier this year. I used a 12 x 12 thick chipboard, glued all my leftover Thickers on it with Tombow glue and then painted the whole thing with acrylic paint.

Don't throw out those letter stickers just yet! Try something like THIS! I have wanted to do this again, and might try it again on one of my December (not-so-daily) pages with all red and green letters.

Thank you for those layout ideas.I will give them a try Funnily enough I have pinned that book one on pinterest.

I have done all the butchering I can cut down h to n q to o upside down u as n mixed fonts but it is the same letters that run out again and again.

I don't actually buy that many letter stickers as I like to use my machine but I still seem to have oodles and they are great when you want to scrapbook light

If you have a cricut or die cut alphas at all......I like to use a leftover letter just to start a word the cut the rest out on my cricut in a different font. It makes the word stand out......

I love the smell of card stock in the morning.....

The Movie poster that is my avatar is very special cause my husband is in it and it won best film at the Canadian Film Festival in 2012. See it......It's super funny.

I am going to try doing THIS with some of my leftover stickers.

Ashli Oliver laid out all the letters and just spelled as many words as she could and used them for page titles or lettering.

You know you can paint them too so if you mix up lettering you can at least have them all the same color.

what i do sometimes is if i have those stickers (and trust me i do) i just use the letters as the first letter of the first word of my journaling... that way i have something that will draw the eye (subtley) to the jounaling. I have also used the spare stickers to reward my kids. they love stickers, so when i have spare ones i won't use i do that, there are MANY things you can do with those extra stickers!

I would give anything (first born child anyone?) for AC to come out with Thickers in just vowels!!! That's my big issue, especially 'e's. Please, please, please someone who works with AC make the suggestion that they come out with just vowels... I can probably justify the market all by myself.

I WILL throw away letter stickers that don't have at least one of my three favorite letters E, A and R. I just somehow figured out that if they don't have those letters, the chances of them getting used in the coming year are slim to none.

But before it comes to that, I have no problem mixing two fonts of the same color or mixing several colors, like I did here. I have some newer letter stickers than these. While I have not mixed colors on them yet, one thing I liked about them (besides them being in Target's dollar section) is that because they're the same font I can mix 12 different colors if I need to to make a title work.

Maybe Glitter Girl should do a video on this, if she has not covered it already.

Honestly, Glitter Girl likes letter stickers so much that her answer is 'donate them so there is room for more'.

But she also did an episode about mixing up the fonts for a title to help with this problem.

I watched this a while back and still had it bookmarked on my computer. You can incorporate this with a Layout.

I will sometimes challenge myself and look up a site, like Scrabble Word Finds or something like that.I'll then enter in the letters I have on several leftover sheets and see what words get generated. From there, I'll make a couple layouts with random ransom style letters. It's a fun way to use up my stash!
