Well that's me...So much "stuff" I've started and not finished: a layout on my table that's been there for a month and not adhered because I'm agonizing over it, paper and the photos to go with them stacked and put away till I'm "in the mood," and especially mini books! Mini books are my weakness, but I can't seem to complete them. I have the chipboard albums I've collected, I've cut the papers, gathered the stamps and die cuts/chipboard, but then put all aside for another day. I didn't used to be this way.

I don't even want to think about Christmas cards. In the meantime, I have other cards to make that can't wait and I spend so much time on those that I lose motivation for completing anything just for me.

How about you? Are you the Queen of Unfinished Projects too?

Sounds like just how I was before I burned out on scrapping. Too much stuff to do and no idea where to start or exactly what to do. When I did do some scrapping, I didn't like my layouts and it wasn't my best at all.

I found purging and then getting into something else helped, but I was also in college, so it was easy for me to concentrate on my studies. Now I've started art journaling and discovered I'm getting back into my groove, getting back to my mixed media roots and becoming more creative.

I think sometimes you just need a break, which is easier said than done, I know. Particularly when you have so much that needs to get done.

Guilty of it too. Lots of papers matched with photos that have yet to be made into pages. A few pages where I am "stuck".

I've gone thru this too... I've taken same approach as Helen. Walk away, step back, go back to basics, creating what you like. Then usually, the mojo kicks in a little and things get done. I've also learned to try not to stretch myself out too much with too many projects going. Finish one thing then onto the next. It takes discipline like anything else in life!

I find bcz I do a lot of creative hobbies (sewing, needlecrafts, cards, etc) I'll see things and be like 'oh i can do that.' But I've tried to get away from that thinking, and when I see something I put it on my flea market list or buy it on Etsy from another crafter. I sometimes have to weigh the money/time/effort versus just buying it. And it makes me feel good to buy handmade goods from crafters, esp if its made in the USA!

I finish anything I give away. The things that are for me....well....that's a completely different story.
If I know it isn't for someone or for an event (high school graduation, my dad's 90th birthday party, etc), it just doesn't get finished for a long time.
I was thinking I'd make Feb my LOAD month...maybe March needs to be my finish it month? (no way will Dec or Jan work for me)

I thought this post was for me!

I have been forcing myself to finish all my unfinished projects lately. When I go to crops I only take the unfinished projects in hopes that they'll actually get done. I did finish one project this weekend and hopefully by January 31 (my self-imposed deadline) I will have them all done. I am not allowed to start any new projects until the old ones are done. Well, with the exception of Project Christmas/DD/JYC. . .
