I'm referring to my desk right now! Yikes. Need to get in major cleaning mode.

How about you all? Is your desk messy or clean right now?
(Come on, be honest. It can't be much worse than mine.)

I can't worry about my desk right now (which is not quite that bad), because I'm too obsessed with a mess of photos that I should have organized 12 years ago.

I am between projects but didn't clean up because I want to use my new supplies again. So, it is pretty messy over there. Not sure if this will work... Trying to post a photo from my phone. My messy desk

Yep, after I work desk down to a less than 12 x 12 work surface it's time to clean up. I start with punches, then ink pads, then stamps, then sort through what's left.

Amy, that looks very much like my table. I've been working on a few pages for a retirement sb that I'm making and I have to elbow stuff aside to have room to do anything. Thank you for showing us your desk so we won't feel so bad. Maria

Those of us who create . . . often do it in spurts, and stopping to clean up during the process just slows us down.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!

Actually this was my desk just a week or so ago, but it is greatly improved! Now back to creating!

At least you have a desk! My workspace is our breakfast table. Whenever someone needs to eat we have to clear a space just big enough to fit a plate and glass. And watch your elbows because my stamps and paper pads could avalanche over the side of the table. Timber!!!

I started with putting punches away. Then I put ink pads away. Then I got distracted when I was putting stamps away so I brought out the ink pads again and started playing around. Then I decided it was enough and finally sorted through and put things where the belong. It's not spectacular, but at least I was able to make it a bit more decent.

Now to see how long it lasts.

My desk is pretty much always clean because I am obsessed with organizing and order. The only time it is messy is when I am actively working on a layout. As soon as I stop for the day, I have to tidy everything up! Everything must be straight or my head will explode. It's a sickness!

In between. My parents stayed with us a couple weeks ago and my scrappy space is also the guest room, so it was clean. And I'm on bedrest so not getting much scrapping done at the desk. I am, however, hanging out on the guest room bed and sorta scrapping, then I heave it all on the desk and leave it in a pile.

clean....all the time. i, too, am a freak about organization and order. i can't start or end work with a messy desk. even if i have to leave my room real quick, i clean up. you'd be surprised how much you can put away in a minute.

i know some people think it's a pain to clean up every...single...time but i got into the habit early in my crafting days so now i don't even think of it, i just do it. the current project i am working on stays on my desk but tools get put away, trash gets swept off the desk and floor, and paper and embellishments i'm about to use are stacked neatly next to my project. this happens every day, sometimes a few times a day.

Noooo.... I can't work like that. When I finish with a project everything gets put up. If it's an ongoing project, it gets put in a project box. I'm just not able to work in a messy area. I'm the same at work. I can multi-task and if things are hectic I will have piles, but as soon as I can get those piles off my desk or things moved to where they are supposed to be I do.

I clean as I go so no, mines not like that. I do have some My DD papers and embellishments on it right now.
The paper is in a CH paper holder and the embellishments are in a photo box and a little wood drawer sitting on my table.
I love the stuff and the project but it bugs the heck out of me to have the stuff sit there like that

I just called my husband over to look at your picture because he is constantly standing in my door and saying, "What happened in here?" I tell him I can either keep it clean or create. He just tells me to keep on going!

After looking at this desk he decided my desk is not so bad.

Love it, Amy! I think I tend to waste more time cleaning and organizing than creating. Shame on me! Having a mess like this means someone had some fun.

Oh..and mine is clean. We are having our log cabin exterior renovated and I am trying to keep anything that could get wet off of the desk. (Log homes, especially older ones like ours, tend to be leaky and pressure washing makes water squirt through the cracks. A problem we are working to have corrected.

That does my heart good!! My desk is not the problem....it's the mounds that are all around the room....as I work on a project, if I don't get finished (which is often) I pile it up and stack it somewhere.....I REALLY need to work on my completion issues!!!
