I need something for my stairs. I bought a Shark last year after reading reviews but it is an utter failure at getting up dog hair.

I love my Dyson hand held vacuum. We have 3 dogs so I do a lot of vacuuming.

I have a Kirby and a Dyson, but this Little vacuum is the best for stairs!

ETA: I have a dog and a cat, and I even use this to get cat hair off the furniture!

I have a fantastic new one my brother gave me. It picks up everything. My floors are laminate, not carpeted, for whatever that's worth.

I will get the name/model in the AM and post it for you.

I like the Eureka also. It was recommended here. Works great on my carpeted stairs.

Okay, mine is the Black & Decker Pivot Vac, 18v. If there are different models, I believe it's top of the line. Love that thing.
