I can't think of anything. Though as I mentioned in the green bean casserole thread, I really only like it if I or my mother make it. If anyone else makes it I won't touch it as most make it way too runny and add no spices. Or like my SIL, just make cream of mushroom soup with very few green beans swimming in it and no onions. THAT I will not eat.

Otherwise I like it all. However I've never had the marshmallow topped sweet potatoes. Not sure about that. I'd try it if pressed I suppose.

That green bean casserole that gives us the shitzs and stuffing that has raisins, oysters, or nuts in it. That gives us gas.

Jellied cranberry sauce. Yuck.

Pumpkin pie. I LOVE it, but I am allergic to eggs and have not found a decent recipe that is egg-less.

I avoid sweet pickles, pumpkin pie, and anything with sweet potatoes.

Our family makes a jello cranberry salad that is really, really good. It has strawberry jello, jellied cranberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, and chopped pecans in it. It's one of the first things to go. I know that liking anything jello salad related is breaking one of the pea rules, so I couldn't resist posting about it, lol.

We don't have all of the traditional sides at our dinner.

I freaking love the jelled cranberry sauce from the can. I made homemade once, and while it tasted fine, I just didn't like it.

I love baked sweet potatoes but without brown sugar or marshmallows or anything. I like them with a bit of butter and salt and pepper.

Anything my mother makes. It is usually undercooked, or I worry about "presents"left behind from the bird the let fly around in their house.

This year we asked her to bring stuff that could be bought at the store and didn't need any preparation.

I will admit that not only do I like Jello under normal circumstances (as in, not on turkey), I do love canned cranberries. We have a tradition that we slide them out if the can and I slice a wee bit off the bottom so the jellied cylinder won't roll around in the rooster dish. I then use the sliced off portion to embellish the top of the jelly cylinder. It's called "cranberries in the shape of a can" and I believe the tradition dates back to an Earnest Saves Christmas movie.

ALL OF IT... blech! Well maybe except for the fresh hot rolls out of the oven smothered in butter but since gluten assaults my insides I avoid those now too.

We opt for tamales, lasagna or like this year it's a bbq

My family never did the green bean casserole when I was growing up, but it shows up now - my sister-in-law thinks it's not thanksgiving without it. I can't even force it down to be polite. I was going to say the jello with cut up bananas in it- I always HATED it, but I realized I haven't seen it on the table since my grandmother died

It's safe to say no Peas will be eating my yams-with-brown sugar-butter-marshmallows!! LOL DS and I will enjoy them, thank you! lol (it's what I grew up with here in NC, the way my mom fixed them and I love them. I add cinnamon too)

I've never understood the slide out of can cranberry sauce. Something else my mom does!

We don't serve any of the canned stuff.

But I avoid the home made Cranberry Relish because I don't like it. SM makes it wholesome, with love, but, I, ew.

The rest of the meal, turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoes, salad, green beans, Rolls, are all homemade, no HFCS, no preservatives.

- and I love the canned sweet potatoes but you can keep the marshmellows.

I guess I would avoid the whole pickle/relish dish thing. Don't want to spoil my dinner

Turkey. I wouldn't make it at all if dressing roasted in the turkey wasn't the best thing ever.

I've never heard of canned sweet potatoes but they sound revolting.

I really dont like any thanksgiving foods. Most likely because growing up we didn't eat them. We had usually had pasta since it could be stretched to feed lots of people. And homemade rolls. Though i guess that is more traditional.

All right, I'll cop to it--I'll eat it all. Canned sweet potatoes? Fine. Green bean casserole? Fine. Love cranberry mush, from a can, fresh, whatever. Pumpkin anything is fine by me! Stuffing, gravy, put it all on my plate!

(I might bypass Jello, but Jello's not a tradition with DH's family, and we always have Thanksgiving with them. They don't usually do GBC, either, but I have made it for them once or twice and it went over well.)

I'm surprised so many people don't even know that canned sweet potatoes exist! They must not have them in Canada.

Oh gosh...I love just about all of it! And, I hand head in shame that I do eat canned cranberry sauce, the jellied kind, I don't like the kind with the shavings in it, I also do GBC because we all like it and follow the recipe on the French Fried Onions can, LOVE canned sweet potatoes! Is there any other way??? I tried making fresh sweet potatoe casserole of some type that you cook in the crockpot all day. You put pineapple in it and it smelled wonderful cooking...tasting was another story. None of us liked it.

I absolutely DO NOT like giblet gravy (scares me to think where it came from!), cornbread or sausage stuffing--YUCK, YUCK, YUCK!!! And, NO MINCEMEAT pie please!
