I can't stop using pretty pastels! I would have never thought myself a pale and pastel scrapper. My past dozen or so colours have been white/cream, pale pink, pale yellow, and shiny gold. I have already used almost half a bottle of October Afternoon Crepe Paper Sprinkler!

Papers of choice have been MME The Sweetest Thing, and Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic.

What colours are you reaching for?

I used to make a lot of colorful pages, but lately I find myself using a lot of kraft cardstock and other neutral colors. My Basic Grey "Basics" collection has been coming out a lot, I'm thinking of ordering more! I've been feeling pretty low energy lately, so I guess that's why I'm trying to keep it simple.

I love making colorful (bright, saturated) pages, but I've just recently started appreciating and accumulating the pastels myself (they are omnipresent right now!). I haven't really used them yet, though - a little more tough to implement when I have all boys.

This thread inspired me to get out of my neutrals slump and make an LO using a subtle blue printed LO and my Shabby Shutters (green) distress ink. There is still a lot of white, but I'm taking baby steps!

Bonus: I used a piece of patterned paper that's been in my stash for probably four years or so.

I'm loving Target's Christmas color-scheme of classic red and aquamarine.

i've been going back and forth between a very vintage stack and a jewel tone stack i have. i've used about the same amount out of each. i don't really have a "go-to color" right now. it's just whatever jumps out to me...

Red, black, and cream with a bit of turquoise and gold thrown in. Using my Jenni Bowlin with a lot of MME glittery thrown in, playing up the contrast...I think it is working nicely.

Right now? Camouflage. I'm doing some pages from a weekend trip to Ft. McCoy and a day trip to Ft.Snelling.

I'm sick of camo and can't wait to do something in C O L O R !

I have been migrating towards fall like colors....I guess it is because I am doing my annual fall album. I love scrapbooking fall!

I am ready to switch gears and work on Christmas!

I'm also finding myself using quite a bit of pastel colors. Thanks to Pea Sarahsjb for shopping the OA warehouse sale and sending me lots of wonderful OA goodness, one of which is a pad of "Cakewalk". There are so many beautiful colors/patterns in there, that I have added more of the Cakewalk line to my bucket here. Great question biochemipea. Maria

KBPea, that is awesome! So glad to hear you challenged yourself, tried some different colours AND used some of your stash!

Tinkgumby, pastels would be hard for boys, but I can see them working if combined the right way. Likes blues and greens and golds and krafts.

Well I would like to try white creams off whites and maybe pick only one or two colors just using tiny bits of these other colors. Kwim? Maybe a few small colored accents just a pop of color leaving the rest of the layout neutrals soft colors. Even if my diecuts and titles are barely noticeable. With all that said now I need to do it!
You definitely need to do this, pinkforever, it sounds like it would make a fantastic page!

Ooh, scrapcatz, I like that colourway too, especially with a tiny bit of pink thrown in.

I love doing this too! I have mixed teal, neon yellow, and pale blue on different pages with Jenni Bowlin Studios products. Love that contrast!

Right now? Camouflage. I'm doing some pages from a weekend trip to Ft. McCoy and a day trip to Ft.Snelling
I can honestly say I have NEVER done a camouflage page! We are not hunters or in the military, so has never been necessary.

I LOVE Cakewalk. I did a pile of layouts with it when I first bought it. I really love those bright-but-muted candy shop type colours.

Turquoise and Red.

I love cakewalk too! That red number paper is my favorite. I bought like three sheets. I also received the whole line from a secret sister Can't wait to dig in!

I'm all over the place LOL. But I have noticed that I've been using white or Kraft a lot again for my backgrounds. Was using a lot of muted pattern paper. Don't know how I slid back into white & Kraft?

I have been drawn to kraft and grey here lately...mixed with apple green teal, and yellow. I didn't even realize until I looked back at severa of my last layouts .

Aqua, grey, navy, teal, and yellow. Not necessarily all together, though.

I have been pinning paint combos to my pinterest page to give me some different combos to try that I have never thought of. I think Jill had a CHA challenge in the summer that came from a paint chip color combo that gave me the idea.

I can't get enough teal/turquoise, kraft, and red. I really like the trendy mustard yellow but as someone who doesn't usually like yellow, I haven't the faintest idea how to use it.

My favorite color combo is turquoise, lime green and a touch of red. It is a stunning combination and reflects itself in my Christmas decorations that I have picked up the last few years. It just makes me happy, I wish there were a Christmas paper line with these colors.

Aqua, usually with touches of red, dark yellow and dark blue. This is for DGS's pages. He's two months old. I bought a baby kit with these colors and have been using the papers in this kit, or other combinations of these same colors quite a bit on his pages. And on DGD's pages I have done a few pages recently that were aqua with pink and/or navy blue.

I actually don't scrap mostly my GKs, but on the pages that aren't about them, I have been all over the place with colors.
