I brought my younger son (11) to Walter Reed to have his ears and throat looked at, because he's had a cold, and started vomiting yesterday after each meal. It turns out that he has a bad case of pneumonia, and they sent us right over to be admitted in the pediatric ward.
So, here we are - he's being quite the trooper. He's most upset about missing the special Thanksgiving Lunch at school today. My turkey isn't quite as special as theirs.
Any and all good thoughts would be greatly appreciated. May his lungs clear up soon! |
Cheers,
Elaine

Thanks, everyone!
It has been quite a year for him health-wise. A fractured spinal vertebrae in his back this summer, led to lots of testing and the diagnosis of osteogenesis Impeprfecta (brittle bone disease) and we've had a lot of appointments related to that too. Poor kid can't catch a break. |
Cheers,

We have often asserted and we affirm it yet again that no fact in history is better attested than the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. It must not be denied by any who are willing to pay the slightest respect to the testimony of their fellow men. That Jesus, who died upon the cross, and was buried in the tomb of Joseph of Arimathea, did literally rise again from the dead. (excerpted from Dance Your Shoes Off, Second Baptist Church)
