So, I posted last week about ordering over 1000 pictures from Snapfish...

Well, when I checked out, it asks something about do you want 4x6 pics that will be cropped or "true digital" which are a little smaller size and they aren't cropped...

I'm not sure what happened or what I did wrong, but I have some pics at 4x6 and some at the smaller size! UGH! I will have to make do with these because I can't afford to reorder, BUT...

Can anybody explain to me what the difference is on "4x6" and "true digital" so I know better next time I order???

true digital is slightly wider if I remember. I don't know if P&S still save in the "true digital" size. My first digital camera (8 years ago) was true digital, but I always ordered 4x6 as you couldn't find photo albums to hold the other size. I think it's become kinda like the Tassimo. It was offered, but it just didn't catch on, but they still offer it for those that prefer it.

After going back through, apparently my photos that were on my phone are the ones that got printed in the smaller size... So, events that we have pics on phone & camera are now printed in 2 sizes...Atleast I plan on scrapping most of them, so I will hopefully be able to adjust as needed. I really need to read before I click stuff

I hate it when that happens, I like all my pictures to be the same size! I'm not sure about the camera on your phone, but I know for digital cameras, especially point and shoots, they use a 4:3 ratio, giving you 4x5.3 inch "True Digital", uncropped prints. Film cameras and DSLRs use a 3:2 ratio, giving you the typical 4x6 inch print. Photo places crop 4x6 prints from point and shoots for this reason.
