All kinds of fruits! They're good for you. If you're talking about greens, spinach is the best because you don't taste it.
Spinach + pretty much any fruit = Awesome

Started smoothies up again in my Magic Bullet for my 22 month old so limited to what I can successfully blend without my highly coveted Vitamix but spinach & kale are my go-to veggies. Can't wait to upgrade and throw it all in. |

I've never cared that much for smoothies but I want to try a few recipes. I just made one with a banana, a clementine, vanilla Greek yogurt, 1% milk and maybe two spoonfuls of oatmeal which i had already pulverized in my small ninja bowl. It is really tasty and I think the oatmeal makes it filling, as well as being good for reducing cholesterol.
I want to try grinding flax seeds and adding them too.

Vodka Beanbean
I like to put kale as a "good for ya but can't taste it" in my smoothies - love strawberries or blueberries for the yummy taste factor. |

I tried that detox where you pretty much drink your veggies/fruit for a week... my hubby didn't make it through a day!
I did drink one that was surprisingly delicious! It was prunes, green apples, and a pear. I first thought 'prunes! Yuck!' But it is YUMMY! |

Any variety of berries and fruit - mango is a favorite as are raspberries and blueberries (mango and raspberry=YUM!
To any combination I add chia seeds and spinach.
Also, when I buy a bunch of fresh spinach I wash and de-stem and toss it all in my Ninja with a bit of water and blend it until smooth (adding water as I go to make it the consistency I want), and then I freeze it in ice cube trays. Once frozen I pop them into a zip bag and keep them in the freezer. Makes it easy to toss 3 or 4 cubes into each smoothie. | |

I put in POM (pomegranate juice with no sugar or other sweeteners added), frozen blueberries, and spinach. All three help one to lose weight.
I also add red grapes, apple, frozen strawberries, and frozen cherries. My smoothies are yummy, and when I avoid eating sugar, I lose weight if I'm having them every day, about a pound a week. Nice, healthy weight loss without diet or exercise. I want to start exercising, though, just for my own health's sake. But I still lose weight even without the exercise IF I leave sugar and high fatty foods alone and drink my smoothies each day. |

OK I learned that the spinach is fine as long as you chop it finely enough. The first time there were little chunks that got caught in my teeth. Since then, I've been pushing the button on the chopper just a few seconds longer and it's perfect. The green color is nice and pretty too.
Today I added canned pumpkin. That was another one that you can't really taste. It isn't pretty though, it turned everything brown.
I really like adding crushed pineapple, that gives just a little bit of sweetness. |

My general smoothie is an apple, a pear, cucumber, carrot, celery, spinach, and kale. We drink this almost every day at breakfast. My kids love it and it tastes great!
I have also added beet greens, peppers and broccoli before. The peppers and broccoli you can taste more, but I don't mind. |

I could KISS you right now!! Just this morning, I threw away a large tub of spinach because it was starting to go bad. Blending it and freezing it into ice cubes is a great idea. Thanks for sharing!
to the OP: I also like to add baby carrots to my green smoothies. |
