Does anyone have experience with removing people from pics??? I take a group pic every thanksgiving and want to work on my pics from last year only I'd really like to remove someone from the picture...he is no longer dating my sister due to some legal issues...long story and I'd rather not even have him in my album after I learned what he did. Anyone have advice or skills I could borrow???

Put a sticker over his face!! Lol

Did you try looking it up on YouTube? Also try asking on the photography board. They are great over there!

Can't go with a sticker, he's in the back row center so it'd look a little weird! Might search on youtube and see if I can figure something out. If she gets another boyfriend ever, I'm gonna make him stand off to the side alone, ya know, just in case they are done by the time I scrap the pic!

You can use the clone stamp tool to cover him with parts of the background.
How well it works is very dependent on the overall photo. To be honest, someone standing in the back row center is going to be noticeable no matter what you do. And a lot of work.

If she gets another boyfriend ever, I'm gonna make him stand off to the side alone, ya know, just in case they are done by the time I scrap the pic![\quote]. I hope you are just kidding, but in case you are not, please don't do this. DH's family always removes me from photos, and it really hurts my feelings. We had two kids, had been together for something like 8 years, and at a family wedding they asked me to step out of the photo because they wanted "family only". I'd understand if they wanted just their immediate family in at least one photo, but they just don't want me in there at all. Anyway, they've always done this and it has certainly affected the way I feel about them, and it is not good.

She doesn't have kids with him and to be honest, if you knew what he'd did you would remove him from the picture too. I am asking for help with an editing issue that I've made the decision to go ahead with. I wasn't asking if I should remove him or not. It would hurt my sister's feelings to see him in the pictures. I don't care about his feelings, as I will more than likely never see him again.

|Posted: 11/17/2012 6:47:34 PM|Well, I was talking about in the future, responding what you wrote about removing future boyfriends. I did not say anything at all about not removing this one.

I'm not saying asking them to stand to the side and being rude. I'm saying, that in the future any boyfriends will just be on the outer grouping so that if I need to I can put a sticker or embellie there. I'd just put my sis and her kids and him (if there is another him) towards the side and not smack dab in the middle. You situation sounds completely different.
I was able to use the screen cleaner and a stamp tool thing and it doesn't look to bad. By the time I print it at home and put it behind a page protector, I don't think anyone will notice.

Hey Nicole I had almost the same situation. My hubby's sister brought her new boyfriend to a photo shoot we planned as a gift for their parents with all the kids and grand kids. Well SIL decided her at the moment bf should be in all the pictures. Um yeah about 2 months later they broke up and now the parents won't hang the picture up because of the ex bald creepy bf. shame because we paid a ton of money to get the photos done and framed. Yeah I think spouses are okay, but I Stan my foot down on boyfriends/girls friends. Oh that reminds me my BIL also had his girlfriend and newborn son in the picture. Well turns out the girlfriend was a you know what and cheat and the son wasn't his. So really that photo was a waste. Cropping wouldn't have worked because it was way too many people to crop out. I totally understand your frustration, but glad you found a way to get the guy out. Maybe try discussing it with your sister and asking to take two separate photos. If she gets mad show her last years picture and see if she can get the hint. Lol. That's a little mean, but I grew up in a family of tough love.
