I am looking to purchase a peg board or slat wall for my scrapbook room to hang embellishments, thickers, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions where to look? Any particular brand more sturdy or better than another?
Thank you! | |

I have a pegboard on my wall, we bought it at Lowes and they are inexpensive. You can get a variety of different hooks there and even Walmart. I painted mine the same as my wall color, I even have spray painted some old curtain rods and have my punches on there too. I will see if I can remember how to add a picture???

I made one from a tutorial on a blog with pegboard and a frame. Google DIY pegboard organization and you can get some different ideas.
The big pieces of pegboard from HD/Lowes are pretty cheap!

I have pegboard and love it. I seem to be using more of my stash now that I can see most of it. I found a piece in the precut bin at Home Depot for $2.99. It is about 5 x 4. I will try to post a picture this weekend. |

I prefer slat wall. It is pricier and hooks & brackets are harder to find, but it looks nicer and holds TONS of weight. I've got super heavy bins of paper on my slat wall shelving/brackets, but can still hang individual hooks for store display style organization of individual items on the same piece of slat wall. You can see my scrap room in my gallery. It looks totally different now because I rearranged the shelving & hooks and added another slat wall to replace the floor shelving. But that's the beauty of it - I can rearrange any time!
If you are on the Midwest you can get a 4x8 foot sheet for about $50 at Menards. They also carry the accessories like hooks, shelf brackets and baskets. |

These are great ideas! I've gotta figure out how to incorporate something like this into my scrap space!

Another vote for pegboard. I got a clear one from Azar Displays. I know it cost more than the chipboard ones but it looks really cool.
