do you somewhat separate things that don't age well within your stash..?
for example, do you keep your rub-ons (even from kits) all together, because eventually they don't rub on so well anymore...
and things like paints (that eventually dry up) or ink pads (that eventually dry out)...
do you keep fewer of those types of things on hand, and keep them separated, so they get used quickly - does that make sense?

Yes. I call them "perishables." I keep them right in front so that I reach for them often and they get used up before they go bad/dry up/etc. |

I keep all of my rub ons together whether they are from kits or not. My inks are all kept together...same with paints. They are separate from each other, but are kept together if that makes sense. It makes it easier for me to find things this way in my stash. |

Oh, yes! I do this too, but I am a ink pad refill nut. I have my pads and their little ink refill bottles together, because my ink pads frequently run dry. | |

Crisann, a huge number of my art journal pages and a few scrapbook pages are made with paint that I have added water to because of it being very, very dry. In fact, you may be seeing one such art journal page soon. I keep that paint in a cubby with glitter glues, glitter and mists.
My rub-ons (if I still have any, I threw some out) are in a file-folder, but they were just one of several categories of things I don't use quite as often that I chose to put in file folders. Quotes, tags, frames, stamped images and a few other things are in file folders stored the same place as the rubons. I never gave thought to them drying out when I put them there. |
