I have the Big Shot and I absolutely love it. I use it more than I use my Cricut. I am pretty sure you can use Cuttlebug dies in the Big Shot.

I have the Bigshot and I absolutely love it! I had the Cuttlebug also, but it did not feel nearly as sturdy as my Bigshot. HTH!

However I got to use one of the new versions of the Cuttlebug and let me tell you...I HATED it!! It's still green and compact, but the fact that the handle folded in was a huge turn off. When I was trying to crank a die through, the handle kept folding in on itself and it was extremely hard to get the die to go through and I bashed my knuckles a few times trying to get it to go.
I use the big shot at work all the time as this is the machine that we have in the store. It is a very sturdy, nice machine. If I had my choice now between the Cuttlebug and the Big Shot, it would definitely be the Big Shot.
Good luck in finding one you like!

I've had my CB for 5+ years and it has really done a great job. I like that it takes up less physical space and I've cut and embossed with it over and over without any problems.

My preference is the cuttlebug. I just like the design better.

I have a Big Shot and love it. Never used the CuttleBug so I have no comparison. Very easy to use.....

I bought a Cuttlebug after my Big Shot broke, and I have to admit I like the Big Shot better. It seems to emboss better than the Bug and thats what I use it for the most.

I have the big shot. I had the cuttlebug and gave it to a friend when I got the big shot.
Both work well. I like that the big shot is sturdier, but if space is an issue or you want to take it to crops, the cuttlebug does just fine.
I liked both, no real complaints.
