Less, we went overboard in years past. Funny of our four grown up children one has even said not to get him anything to save our money and put it in our retirement account. Our oldest would never even think of that, she's all about the presents. Guess she'll be surprised this year. |

No idea. I don't budget and I don't keep track. I'd probably wager that it's about the same or more. I believe in spoiling all of the people I gift, so budgets really put a damper on doing that. So I don't budget. I may have a ballpark, but not a budget. | |

I would guess about the same. But I don't really track it so I'm not sure.
I am going a little overboard on one son. Because of basic training and "schools," we couldn't do much for my son in the Navy last year or for his past two birthdays. So I'm having fun finally spoiling him a little. |

Apparently we are spending less, not because we have to, but because 1) no one can really figure out what they want and 2) it ends up just being a money swap when you tell each other what you want and then go out and buy each other the requested gift. My husband has opted out altogether and I would like to. |

We are spending more on less items. We are making everything count this year. We have two grown kids a grandson as well as a future DIL and soon to be here grandson.
Kids and future DIL are getting a major gift and 2 medium size gifts each.
Usually they get a lot of little to medioum size gifts. This year they are struggling and we bought them what they really need not just movie tickets, restaurant GC, etc. | |

About the same. We've had a Christmas Club account at my credit union for over 20 years and we set our budget knowing what is in that account, give or take a couple of hundred. |
