I signed up this year as well. I've had a bit of a look at some of last year's pages and journals, but I'm still not sure exactly how I'm going to do it. At the moment, I have a journal to write in each day, and I plan to take lots of photos. I'm going to worry about the rest later. LOL! |

JYC is my favorite class out of several that I've took online.
It's pure fun! No pressure. It's also great for using up your stash
Enjoy!!! |

I've been going back and forth too on whether to sign up for this. I love Shimelle's blog but wasn't sure if the money was completely worth it. I've got supplies pulled to make some kind of something for December - just can't decide between JYC or December Daily. Any suggestions either way?

Once you join Shimelle's class you get all future years for free (as well as access to all the past years) - so it's totally worth it from that perspective alone. She sends out a daily prompt as well as a tip or technique. I combine this with December Daily and I've found that on the days I don't have an obvious story for my album because I feel like I haven't done anything worth recording I turn to Shimelle's prompts and find a story there. I like how Shimelle gives a more reflective approach to Christmas with prompts that sometimes make you look back and help you find connections with Chrismtas's past and present. |

I signed up and I am so glad that I did. I have been wanting to do a Christmas album such as DD for a while and saw JYC. I liked that you can slow down and write about the true meaning of the holiday. I just lost my MIL and I'm hoping that this will help me to focus, meditate and reflect on what this holiday is about. I think that I will be doing this in tribute to my MIL. She loved Christmas. |

I'm making another mini-album for JYC 2012. It's my 5th year I think now and I always love the month or so of playing around and making fab memories. Shimelle always changes it up a bit each year and after the first time it's free for life. Coll huh?
Give it a go defo

Where do I find this? I've looked all over the Classes & Events area and don't see it. And I can't find any kind of site search.
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

It's available through Shimelle's blog: Shimelle
Last I looked, it was the top post on there. |

Mary, it's not a class through 2peas, it's available on Shimelle's own website - www.shimelle.com.
I first did JYC in 2007, and I have had varying success with completing albums but each one is still a lovely record of a season that I wouldn't have otherwise. For reasons I can't remember now, last year I decided to do a mixed media/collage/art journal one - and the first few entries are brilliant and then I ran out of time. Not really surprising. This year I am thinking about doing mini pages in divided page pockets and keeping it in my regular album. Not sure yet....I should probably make my mind up!

This is my first time and both DD and I are doing an album. We are combining DD and JYC. One of us may do one thing and the other something totally different. I'm just doing the 4 X 6 album this year and dd is doing an 8 X 6 SN@P book. |

I know this small but I think I am going to make a 4x5 album, and I have pictures I can insert envelopes. It will kinda like a smash book.
I am so looking forward to this.

I started doing JYC in 2007. I haven't done a journal every year - maybe 3 and I plan to again this year. The great thing is that you only pay once and then you can be in on the class every year after.
I kind of combine it with a December Daily. I mostly follow the prompts by Shimelle. However, if we are doing something Christmasy that day I will use that instead of the prompt. |
