Someone posted last week about reverb 10. I wasn't familiar with it but after reading the follow up posts and looking at blogs. I this idea. I have been looking for a project for 2013 that focuses on reflection and growth, combining things like reverb , one little word and a happiness project.

I would love to have a group to work with. Would anyone be interested in joining?

At the moment I am planning on doing a Dec Daily type format using these reverb prompts (originally from 2011) since they are reflective on the past year.

Dec Daily reverb prompts

What is your plan for 2013?

I do better when there is a format for me to follow. Having these prompts will be the best way for me to do a Dec Daily (I have already done more traditional Dec Daily albums in 2009 and 2011, so I don't feel the need to document our decorations and Christmas activities again so soon, especially since we are now empty nesters this year.)

This sounds like something if be interested in, but I'm not entirely sure how it would work. Is it more like a day to day reflection during 2013? Or a year in review type thing for 2012?

It sounds very interesting. I would need to know more about your plans for this group, before making a decision whether to join. I'm very interested, but don't want to over-commit myself to too many projects to keep up.

Good questions, I probably should have had more of a plan before posting. I guess my goal is to focus on the good throughout the year, remembering the every day small stuff that becomes the big stuff, living with intention and cultivating a good life.

As for the details, I was thinking maybe weekly or biweekley. I don't think I can manage a daily post in December so I was going to go through the past reverb 10/11/12 and pick out some topics to work on throughout the year.

I definitely work best with a plan so if there is a group that would be interested, I can work on coming up with topics. Or if everyone wants to share some ideas I can put them all together for the group.

Some of my ideas are:

Create a 2013 manifesto
Set goals/resolutions for the year
Choose my OLW
Bliss List (list of things that make you happy)
Gratitude

This sounds great. I've had a heck of a year, so would like to try this project to help me keep things in perspective. Maybe everyone who wants to join can give their input, and we could have daily/weekly prompts or ideas. Then, it won't all fall on your shoulders, unless you'd like to take complete charge. I'm good either way you want to do it.

That works perfectly for me! I can compile a list and then maybe we can do a weekly post or if people prefer a facebook group I am good with that too. Just let me know what would be easiest.

Any ideas for a name for the project? I am not very good at coming up with stuff like that. Maybe we can come up with a blog button too for the group, if people are interested. I am excited to have some people to work with on this.

I very much like your ideas. I'm still very interested and will be watching this thread to see what others suggest. When are you planning on starting? This December will probably be pretty busy for me and I'm not sure I will have time to start something new until the new year.

i just started reading Gretchen book The Happiness Project, funny to see it pop here on Two Peas, but i do believe there is no such thing as coincidence!
I'd really like to start something similar in January, would be a lot better in a group!

Love the idea of dec daily reverb...more reflective...
Less the everyday blah, blah, blah.

I'm in, so long as it is a group 'here' and not any other social media outlet.

Starting in January looks like it is best for everyone so lets plan on that. I am thinking a weekly topic/post. Does that sound manageable?

Maybe we can start with some ideas for broad topics for each month and then we can fill in the weeks? For example, January could be topics related to goal setting and setting up your intentions for the year (creating your manifesto, choosing your OLW). November could be topics related to gratitude.

I'm in. I think. I keep TRYING to do things like this and just completely lose it with daily posts and working in a physical journal. I can't seem to manage to WRITE every day, which is weird for a writer.

But I'd be willing to blog and stuff, and maybe it will give me a subject for my PL (which I also bombed on) on those weeks where we do NOTHING!

I like Project scrap-happiness.

Has everyone started to think about their word? I am having such a hard time deciding. I chose a word last year but about two months in kind of forgot about it. This time I plan on having little reminders, maybe a piece of word jewelry or word art, something to keep it in the front of my mind.

i chose a word.

i went to make a charm for a necklace yesterday w/ metal stamps, but need to buy more blanks.

here's the charm i made this year. i'm going to put it on my album when i'm done with my album. right now, it's hanging on my closet door in my bedroom.

someone should make a button. that'd be cool!

i did it with metal stamping tools - stamped the word and year onto a circular sterling silver blank, used liver of sulfar to distress it, then polished it with a cloth. the stamped word/year maintain the distressed look...

I think Project Scrappiness is the perfect name. I don't think you will get a better suggestion than that. I really like it!

I'm narrowing down my choices for OLW. I'm very close to deciding.

I think these projects (and name!) sound great, too.

I'd be interested in finding inspiration for words, too, although I am thinking of joy and faith.

I tried keeping up with Ali's OLW class from BPC before and couldn't do it. I chose Peace. I did keep the word forefront in my mind all year, so I guess I was a little successful.
