DH isn't hard to shop for (yet), but my dad is almost impossible. We end up getting him the same thing every year or something similar to it (giftcards to Home Depot, new calendar, etc.). I just saw this on Amazon and thought that it's something he would use and I KNOW he doesn't have!

Can we keep this thread going for more ideas? Links would be great. I'll add mine if I find more! |

I bought my friend that likes to do all kinds of handyman stuff a pair of nice coveralls. Don't have a link but I found the best deal at "Workin Person's Store" on line. I think a lot of guys would like these if they tinker with cars or get dirty working around the house. Saves the clothes too
I paid under $40 |

My grandparents got one of these indoor/outdoor thermometers awhile back and my grandpa is still in love with that thing. They have it in their living room and check it at least once every time we are over there, no kidding.

I just found and bought a glove light.... my husband loved it...saw it on DIY network and ordered it. It has different color lights depending on use... I stuck with white for my husband but am ordering another for my father in law in the dark/flying in green light... The site is www.glovelite.com...I have no connection to this site, but just thought it was cool and different. Jen | |

LOL! We all have para-cord bracelets (anklets, etc.) in this house. They are laying around everywhere!
I thought of another one that we got my dad a few years ago that he still loves. It's a wireless rain gauge so they can see how much rain has fallen without going outside.

My DH really enjoys good red wine, just slightly chilled, the way it is meant to be drunk. He often adds an ice cube to his glass if he forgets to pre-chill the bottle, but that waters the wine down. I saw these on Amazon yesterday. They can be used to chill your individual glass of red or white wine.

Another member of the family is getting The Walking Dead Compendium 2 . they got the first one last year and want the second this year. I see this as a continuing trend. lol
ETA: I told them if I bought it I just might read it before i gave it to him. He was fine with that. It arrived yesterday. I'm half way through it. |

Don't know how to quote a post, but ditto what Kiki wrote to Jen on the Glovelite. No sure which hand to order the light for. My dad might like one for each hand who is very mechanically inclined. My DH not so much, but I might get one for him as well. |

From this board last year.. I bought DH a 'flashlight' (from Walmart).. it's a tri-fold LED light. It's really cool. DH loved it. The middle lights up and you open it like a book and both sides also light up. I can't remember the name.. but it was a hit. |

A paracord bracelet is knotted from paracord (strong thin rope) and can be unraveled into a length of rope that can be used in emergencies. |

I'm pretty sure I saw the whiskey rocks at Target in the section with those boxed men's gift items. I think I may go back for a some of those for stocking stuffers.
I just ordered the paracord survival bracelet with the fire starter for ds - he'll love it We gave him a new, high-end hiking backpack as an early Christmas gift (he's working on hiking the Appalachian Trail and had a trip in October), so I'll wrap this up as a reminder of that gift.
I also took suggestions from the list of 50 ideas and ordered yo-yos for all the adults on my list (everyone needs a toy, right??) and the Ref book. |
