I bought the teen guys in my family these paracord bracelets:
Got Your 6
I figured if they wanted a paracord bracelet, which they were all asking my dh to make, I might as well buy from somebody trying to help the military.

On the glovelite site they show you can get left, right or "both". What would "both" be...it will fit either hand? | |

DH loves his Gorillatorch. He can stick it onto the body of his pickup, tractor, etc and twist the light where he wants it. It's bright and the batteries last a long time. |

For older men, who remember the t.v. shows, 'Dean Martin's Celebrity Roasts' on DVD. My dad received these one year and loved them. People tend to like nostalgia.
Uncle John's Bathroom Reader. My fil and dh love these. They have so many different issues available. They are oversized paperback books filled with all kinds of interesting stories and facts. Not limited to bathroom reading, of course, lol, but great for those who like that.

My husband and I got an early gift in the mail from my mother yesterday. She rented us a cow.
A cow.
Rent Mother Nature sent us a document about our lease on a cow. Then when we choose our milking date they will send us 3 rounds of Brie cheese from our cow. Is that not the coolest thing?!?
ZOMG this is FANTASTIC i'm so getting this for my dad and his wife - his expression when he reads the cow lease agreement will be fantastic!! i'm so exited i could just pee!! (sorry, it's phrase i got from The Boyfriend... but well, it works!)
Also: yes on Thinkgeek.com - both my salvation and my bane when it comes to gift shopping. Tho the cat laser tower = FANTASTIC for cats who like to chase The Red Dot.
additionally: Kiva - micro-loans to help people or Sevenly Charity T-Shirt site

I love the Rent a Cow idea too and have thought about leasing a cow to my DB's family (my SIL grew up on a dairy farm). My DB is into scientific stuff and I thought this would just be a fun family gift. My DH and DS kind of nixed the idea though, but I may still go this route.

I'm getting DH the Ultimate James Bond Collection that has all the Bond movies except Skyfall on Blu-ray. He'll be watching movies for days.
Dh makes paracord bracelets and until this thread I had no idea they were survival tools. So I had a lesson on all the ways you can use the cord after it is unraveled. I couldn't figure out why they were so popular. As much as they cost vs how much it costs to make them, he should go into business for himself. |
Christina
You can't argue with popularity. Well, you could, but you'd be wrong.

My husband loves sockets. He has a billion sockets. One year as a joke I bought him more sockets. It was his favorite gift ever.
For other holidays I have bought him an oscilloscope. I bought him a Zombie survival kit.
He loves unusual tools and unusual knives. I find him the craziest knives and he's thrilled. I don't buy him collector knives but every day man knives.
