Hey P's, I've just started trying to post my layouts to the gallery. What is the best way to get the best photo of your layouts? Specifically lighting, cropping etc. TIA!

Use natural light. I usually just take pictures from my desk because it faces a sliding door so I have plenty light. Basically any way you can avoid the built in camera flash to hit the photo. Now you are going to ask: Well how do I do that? Well in a very painful way. You will have to get to know your camera . You will have to get your manual and figure out how to maybe turn your flash on or off. Maybe find that point were the automatic sensor won't shoot the flash. I use a little lite wood photo stand I got at Michaels for like 4 dollars with my 40% coupon and sometimes I use that. I really hope this helps.

What can I post about?

I agree with the natural light. I usually take mine outdoors and get a shot in the natural sunlight...last week I couldn't take them out in sunny day so I shot them with the flash and they turned out awful! I can turn my flash off but I cannot get enough natural light indoors because my windows are small. I edit mine on the Window photo live gallery because you can crop to square and it turns out good, I am not this is my easy way.

My turn to hit the PEAnata!!!

Thanks for the input and the suggestion to use Windows Live to edit the size. I also wish I had a scanner!

I will probably have rotten vegetables thrown at me by the photog peas but I use my cell phone and I also Instagram it to resize it and then post via cell phone through the app.
