Flying out tomorrow at 3 to take my ODS to see a college there. I will probably have a little free time - and a car.
I know there is an Archivers there. About where in town is it? And also, is there anything else?
And....I'm not above taking restaurant tips either.
Thanks! | |

Hi Penny,
I'm not much help, but I have been to the A's in Nashville. It is in the Coolsprings area. There is also a mall, shopping and restaurants in the area.
Hope you enjoy your time in our beautiful state!

Hey Penny--there is an lss at Mt Juliet which is just east of Nashville. I can't remember the name at the moment but Tracie Claiborne teaches there.

If you're going to be in Franklin (Cool Springs) then you should definitely go to Downtown Franklin. It's got lots of cute shops and stores...and history! I used to live there. I miss it!

Well, if you're feeling the holiday spirit then a nighttime drive-thru of the Opryland Hotel to see their beautiful lights display and maybe visit this year's ICE exhibit there would be a delightful experience. Lots of picture taking opportunities for sure.
Yes, historic downtown Franklin is very quaint and is home to some unique restaurants (Pucketts, Red Pony, McCreary's Pub ). It'd be very easy to park and stroll throughout the streets. Nearby there is "The Factory" which is an old factory that was converted to a small shopping mall - lots of nice stores/boutiques and a great restaurant called Saffire - also another good place to take photos. The Cool Springs area of Franklin (where Archiver's is located) is more commercial in terms of shopping and restaurants but it's not all chains/franchises there.
I'd also highly recommend a meal at the Loveless Cafe in the southwest area of Nashville (not too far from Cool Springs/Franklin which is south of Nashville). They even offer a little shopping too!
Enjoy your visit to Music City

I'm planning a trip to Nashville just for a scrappy day of shopping so if you would update about what scrappy stores you find that would be awesome!!
