someone please tell me I'm not alone!!!!

I love papercrafting....and therefore I spend lots of I end up working a part time job in the evening (in addition to my full time day joto support my habit...but then I have no time to scrapbook/craft, etc.......
In september I gave up a part time job for the first time in 11 years!! I was so excited...I promised myself I would really freeze the spending...November I go to a weekend retreat and all the stampin up ladies were making cards and projects and I went nuts!!! started out w/ one project that brought me to a blog w/ the tutorial...and somehow it spiraled me into finding many more blogs...and 3 new to me sites that have the most adorable svg files!!!
can you see where this is this weekend I started back at my part time job so I could afford to buy all the new things I want....and now I have not time to do them!!!!!!! To add to all this a Hobby Lobby will be in town by the middle of next summer!!!! eh boy!!

I know I need help...I've obviously have an addiction here!!!
How do I ever stop this cycle????????????

My turn to hit the PEAnata!!!

I totally agree! My PT evening job several years ago was at Michaels! Let's just say there were many, many nights I spent more than I made because someone would buy something I just HAD to have!!

Certainly not alone! I graduated University in 2007 and was a full time student, working part time in the scrap industry getting paid. That was the only way I ever got to do any scrapping at all.

I was a frozen pea for a long time after that. Just started buying a few thing here and there again.

Well, I don't have the option of getting a job, but I know what you mean.

Just when I think I have all the digi stamps I want, that I can happily colour for the rest of next year without any problems, I end up seeing a project from a new-to-me company on someone's blog. Then I go investigate and find tons of images that I'd love to have! Or Black Friday and the digi FB group. LOOK AT ALL THE DEALS! Look at all the companies you've never heard of!!! Or I find a new crafter whose style I like and want to try out. Well, I need this punch she uses a lot, I've only got square spellbinders, not circle like she uses, and I certainly don't have as much Kraft as she has! So I have to get those supplies too!

So, yeah. Out went my "I'm not going to spend any more this year" deal. I went nuts on Black Friday and I'm pretty sure DH is quietly growling at me for it. But, REALLY, I HAVE ENOUGH TO COLOUR!!! Why doesn't my brain know this!?

Go ahead and put in an application for the hobby lobby. You'll have a part time job AND get a discount on scrap supplies!!

... that have the most adorable svg files!!!

so tell me about these adorable files

In all seriousness, I feel your angst. My advice is to make a monthly spending budget, stick to it and quit your part-time job. Make your budget reasonable. Cold-turkey isn't the way to go. Another idea is to write down all the things that you want with the date next to it. Tell yourself that you won't buy those until at least thirty days have past. You'll find that a lot of your "must-haves" were trendy items lose their zest after a few weeks. Things of quality have no fear of time.

And the reason I think that a part-time job isn't the answer, is that you need to live your life and enjoy the things that you've worked so hard to get.

If I got a job at Hobby Lobby I know that would only spell trouble!!!! ack!!!!

The svg files...and again..everyone has their own taste....from
treasure box designs, scrapping bug designs and kadoodle bug designs....they are just so darn cute to me...I just want to make them all!!!!! But then I'm a sucker for cute!!!!

I did good sticking to a scrapping budget for a few months...but then I went to a stampin up event and that got blown right out of the water...
again....i have a buying obsession I know!!!!

I've really blown the scrapping budget lately! I wish I was close enough to work at a Hobby Lobby. You will love their sales!
I hear you on the svg files as I am totally addicted to them! I love how I can take some scraps of card stock and make an adorable embellishment without spending a fortune
