She's not a scrapbooker but I'm hoping she'll want to use it to "smash" all her wedding planning stuff, like flower ideas, dress fabric, etc. I wish I'd had a Smash Book way back when I was wedding planning. I just have all the stuff in a box somewhere.
I'm going to print out the e-Save the Date and start the book for her Hope she likes it! I'm afraid it will go unused. I'm thinking of including a note that if she's too busy to "smash," just hold onto all the stuff and I'll assemble the book for her after the wedding. What do you think?
Have you given a Smash book as a gift and was it used? Are you giving any for Christmas?

Not exactly the same thing, but my 2 teen DDs (16 and 13) have given Smash books to friends as birthday gifts and so far they have been a HUGE hit! None of my DDs friends scrap, in fact I'm not even sure if they know about scrapping. But they have loved the Smash books and my girls like seeing how everyone uses their books differently.
BTW, I'm with you....sure wish I had something like that when I was planning my wedding! All of my wedding stuff is sitting in a box in my attic.

I was just wondering the same thing. . . My niece will be doing a college study abroad next semester and I'm curious as to whether a smashbook would be useful for her experience. Since "kids these days" do everything online, would she have stuff to put in such a book?
Thanks for asking this question!

It sounds like a great idea even for a non-scrapper.
It's really handy to have one place to jot down ideas, glue in pics from magazines, fabric swatches etc. A really practical size to carry around also.
The pockets and dividers and things will help make the book into more of a planning aid...not to mention the pen/glue stick which is always there when you need it!
Make sure you tell her what it can do and offer to show he how to use it if need be.

Love it - my DS is newly engaged, what a great idea for a Christmas present for DDIL! Thx for that! Didn't really know that they had a wedding one - where did you find it? I will get the pen, washi and some of the calendar pocket type inserts.
I did give a smash type book to DD and one to her BF to journal their vaca this summer. DD hates scrapping , but she really did use the smash book.

Well, I'm giving a smash book to my 12 yo niece. I would have loved something like this at that age since I was already "scrappin" in those large manilla paper books with scotch tape and a bic pen!
I also would have loved a smash book to keep all my wedding stuff in. I don't have anything but a steno book with some notes.
I think she'll like it. Maybe show her one of yours (if you have one yourself)
