...my birthday is tomorrow, and I have some free time now, but I can't go in my scrap area and make anything because my boyfriend has commandeered my stamps and such to make "Christmas" cards  I'm hearing a lot of strange crackling sounds. I don't have anything I can think of that makes that noise, so who knows what is going on.
He usually makes cards for my birthday and his immediate family members' birthdays out of construction paper, but I guess he decided he's ready for an upgrade. I had to show him how to stamp when we were making invitations for his birthday party last month because I was not about to make all of those by myself. I'm excited to see what he makes

NOPE not unless they wanna pull back a nub hahahaha they know better than to touch my scrap stuff but in my defense I have had tonic sissors ruined and paper cutter you name it ruined by my loves |

There is only one person that is even sort of allowed in my corner. That's my 4 year old Granddaughter and it's just because she is too cute & I'm hoping she will be the next scrapbooker in our family so I'm teaching her early. Everyone else has to stay out! |

My husband and son do like playing with my craft stuff too but they have to answer a bunch of security questions, submit to s frisk search and use under strict supervision...
OK not quite but I do need details about what they're planning to do or else they'd try feeding bottle tops and goodness knows what through my big shot and using my good fabric scissors on chipboard etc etc!! | |

My DH makes me cards too and even did a layout for Valentine's Day last year - love this man! He's allowed in when he wants, as long as my tools stay on my desk. He sometimes carries things off - I've found my MM hammer in the garage,lol.

One dd has been lately, and surprisingly its my dd who says she hates art/crafts. Shes been making subway signs, school projects etc. My youngest dd who is more into art doesn't touch it at all really. DH would rather stay away from any of it. |

my girls make crafty things all the time! and my husband the other day brought me the trimmer and asked if he could use it! i was like holy wow! he's never showed an interest in using any of my stuff, but i guess he's needed it for something... lol |

My girls use my Cricut and cardstock to make titles for poster board projects at school...that's about it.
Occasionally they'll borrow my paper trimmer or adhesive. |

About twenty minutes in to his cardmaking adventure I heard the bf saying "these stamps are so cool!" about my clear stamps. I'm glad someone else thinks so
I guess he had fun because I got my card/birthday gift this morning. He used alpha stamps to make the card, and then I also got a bunch of stamped "coupons" for things like going out to breakfast and some other dates. Not bad for a stamping newbie   | |
